GIGEBOX is a web hosting provider that specializes in feature-packed services. Their services are geared towards small businesses, game server companies, and other essential service providers – but can accommodate customers of all sizes. They are not a registered company but is currently talking with legal advice regarding incorporation. Their domain gigebox.com was created in 2012 but WHOIS is not public. However, their gigebox.uk domain has a public WHOIS. For those interested to know the details of hardware used, host nodes uses Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-1650 v2 (Hexa Core), 128GB RAM, RAID-10 Hardware RAID Array’s, and 1Gbit/s network connection.

Payments can be made through PayPal, 2checkout and BitCoin. Their website does not mention if activities such as IRC, VPN, and torrent are prohibited. Refund policy or money back guarantee are not mentioned also. As always, kindly check their Terms of Service, Privacy Policy , and Acceptable Usage Policy before making any purchase.

          You didn’t answer a reasonable question: have you ever used OVH support? If you continue to dance around a simple question, the answer is “no”, and having support albeit from a provider who you have an issue with leasing servers is much quicker in a response.

  8. stay away from these guys. I signed up for this promotion and set up a couple of simple webservers, and they suspended my account 2 days later for “abusing resources” and refused to refund me.

    • Alex, your paypal was refunded. I am looking at the transaction. I even stated in your support ticket that i responded to, that i would refund you. I also stated i would further look into the issue of why you were suspended for abuse with my staff member that suspended you. I am sorry you have had a bad experience.           • we have not given any personal information about this customer that is not already available.

            Also this was serious imap abuse, causing server loads to reach over 50.x, he warranted immediate suspension.

            I find it very abusive that he can come and try and attempt to discredit a company, when he got refunded for both containers, none of our other customers abuse the system.

            He breached Terms of Service, and the Acceptable Usage Police.

            Our Low End Offer actually gave users access to 400% of CPU, that means he had access to four of our cores, he had a good offer.

            It was not the CPU he was abusing though, it was disk activity with his IMAP.

          • That’s OK Lucas just I have had a warning from my boss because of this and I have not even breached the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

            I work had to promote our work and for someone to then slander, could be liable to case of libel?

            The common law protects every person from harm to their reputation by false and derogatory remarks about their person, known as defamation. In addition, all Canadian provinces have libel/ slander legislation (defamation includes slander and libel, where slander is verbal defamation and libel is printed defamation).

            As you can all see, GIGEBOX is a very reliable company and I have worked for them for some time, they have a large client base and I am sure it is wrong for someone to come and slander the company because he abused the system.

    Just to give our customers a few of our Low End Server, you can see many users utilizing there CPU and disk activity, we have no problem with users using their full resources, we do have a problem with spammers and fraudsters.

    I am also guessing “Passing by:” is also Alex, or John, or what ever other name he uses.

    Anyway, I hope everyone at Low End has a good weekend and as a bonus my boss Russ has told me I reacted wrongly to this allegation so as a good will gesture I am giving Low End Customers a special $2.00 discount on their monthly billing with coupon code “lowendbox” – for new customers only.

    Glenn: I think you should delete your posts giving out personal information even if your client has been abusing you. I’m happy to see the proof that you’ve shown of the e-mail exchange between you two showing that he indeed was abusing resources but printing his name (and possible aliases) is probably not the best business practice. Though this looks like a good deal, especially with the discount, we’ve decided to go with OVH directly because of the naming here. If you’ve deleted that personal information I’ll be happy to remove this post, too.

    LEB has been a fantastic resource for finding good deals but I can honestly say I will never have anything to do with GIGEBOX after reading these comments. I do understand Glenn is but one voice but his is the only voice being heard while looking at this server offer.

    It is entirely unprofessional and completely out of line for en employee to behave this way. As it has been pointed out there seems to only be one complaint and that is to be expected. Only a true scammer, or fraudster, would expect an offer to have a 100% satisfaction rate. It is statistically impossible. Instead of understanding this Glenn worked very hard to discredit one individual when all he did was discredit himself and the company.

    GIGEBOX is demonstrating terrible judgement allowing this kind of back and forth and if they exercise such poor judgement in their own advertisements then they could not possibly be an ethical and safe company.
