Anthony from InceptionHosting is back with an exclusive LEB offer, It is similar to the last offer but with more resources. For €6/Quarter (~USD$2.61/month approx) you get the following specs

128MB XEN VPS in Phoenix

  • 128MB memory/128MB swap
  • 7GB RAID-10 protected storage
  • 200GB/month data transfer  @ 100mbps (un-metered inbound)
  • Xen/SolusVM

128MB XEN VPS in Netherlands

Both locations have the same price but with slighty different specifications like IPv6, 1Gbps port and more data transfer is in Netherlands location. Anthony was nice enough to pour in some goodies the last time it was posted, but dont expect the same again. This offer is even better then their current LET offer.

Payment in either MoneybookersSkrill or PayPal. Servers in the Netherlands (test IPv4: 128.204.195.115, IPv6: 2a00:7b80:3019:12::2ef1:902e) and Phoenix (test IPv4: 199.30.48.191) at the moment. InceptionHosting is incorporated in the UK as company number 07504587 (which shows them as OVERDUE on return since 22/02/2012) and it has been regularly featured here. Anthony is very active on LEB providing a solid service. Interesting traceroute to their Netherlands IPv4

Anthony is just an amazing guy , really helpful in multiple ways.

    Netherlands network is amazing.

Response times considering his in the UK and advertises

    “Support

    Standard UK (GMT+0) working hours apply 09:00 – 19:00”

I’m pretty sure ive had some wacky hour reply times like 1AM ect

Well informed about maintenance may it be network upgrades or hardware upgrades to the node your on.

  2. Return has been done now, the records are not up to date.

I have to say this is the first time I have seen the state of someone annual returns posted in an offer, and it is not the first offer I have seen that has a company overdue on the return. (To be clear to those that don’t know, this is not the accounts this is the confirmation of company details)

Not sure who I have upset to make Inception Hosting a special case.. the ever changing face of LEB I guess :)

Either way thanks for about 70% of the post, this will probably be the last one.

    Anthony.

      • Without wanting to turn this in to an anti-LEB thread, I just dont like they way things are going on LEB, LET is still fine.

It just seems that 90% of the focus now is on finding the tiniest issue with a host while they don’t even get the offer specifics correct.

I will continue to post offers on LET, and for clarity as I have now been asked by a few people how I managed to get another feature so fast on LEB while only just getting on to the second page of the offers with the last post, on this occasion LEB contacted me for an offer not the other way round.

I think LEB just just go back to 1 person running things tbh, rather than a team of people that cant actually do anything without a green light from 1 person.

Its all good but as I said, this will be the last LEB offer I have any direct input on, if they happen to post one that gets picked up from LET then fair enough.

        • > … on this occasion LEB contacted me for an offer not the other way round.

I do not want to go into specifics as to why I did not clean up the backlog, if any, and why I contacted you to get the offer. By the way, I did contact approx 2 dozen good hosts to get LEB exclusive offers lately. I wanted to give the community exclusive deals from their “current” providers.

I spotted the post on LET and contacted you to get more resources or exclusivity, we exchanged a few emails and finally I blogged which @KuJoe approved. All that hard work was not to humiliate you but to list you with the standard precautions people like to read from LEB. Let me remind you, I am not paid to post these listings but I do it for the love of LEB and how I loved to refresh LEB million times a day to see listings and add awesome VMs to my fleet of VMs.

Now lets look at the content of the above post, what part did you not like or was incorrect? (apart from the pricing for ONE location which was my fault and I requested to get it fixed) resources? direct signup links? test ips? VM locations? Payment modes? Company info (if it was incorrectly intimated to the community)? I am not sure why im wasting my time

One thing’s for sure, whether I stay here as permanent member or not, that the findings and research will become part of every post on LEB.

Lastly, can anyone lend me their time machine? I really want to remove the reason why I am typing my thesis here :D

If something’s potentially amiss with the legal standing of the company, why the hell shouldn’t the staff point it out? I’m all for people doing as much research on companies as possible.

      • Hi Gary,

I don’t disagree on that point.

My issue is with making the effort to do that and not taking time to verify the details or pricing on the offer, seems a little imbalanced giving the multi step post verification they have in place.

Anyway this is my issue, and the reason I will not be sending in further offers for the foreseeable.

        Anthony.

        • Gary:

From what other providers have said, they get a lot of business via LEB. I think you’d be missing out on revenue by deciding not to deal with LEB again, but that’s your call. I guess they could still put your deals on LEB even if you don’t submit them.

It does suck that they made mistakes with the other things, but mistakes happen. Going in a huff because they made a mistake, but also spotted something you should’ve done that you didn’t seems a bit childish.

          April 25, 2012 @ 9:08 pm | Reply
        • Well ok then,

It is not really a huff tbh, it is more the fact that the focus has been all wrong since the take over, and that is just my opinion.

It seemed out of the ordinary in the first place that LEB contacted me for an offer, then it was posted so soon after, considering the backlog they always talk about.

The price is wrong, 2 clicks to verify.

Info missing regarding the CPU cores, 2 clicks to verify.

IRC is marked as allowed, it is not in the USA.

Posts are apparently vetted and verified prior to posting, and it is still wrong.

I was contacted the day before I got asked to post an offer asking if I knew the return was late and then this gets rushed in with that information specifically emphasised

Call me paranoid but it just seems all to odd, I am not questioning that the return should have been done on time but these things do happen, the end of the first year running an Limited company not everything is as straight forward or as obvious as you may think.

Either way the company is not running illegally the return is late, it has been put right and was in hand, the records should be updated within 7 days.

And reading another post further down, I agree, if they are going to do this then they should for everyone, you said yourself you are up for people doing as much research as possible.

I am not looking for a public argument either way, that is just the way I feel about it.

I don’t see them doing company record checks on U.S companies, or any other companies for that matter.

If company record checks are to be done for this company I think its fair all others be checked too, even if it costs $$$ for LEB to get the records.

        April 25, 2012 @ 8:39 pm | Reply
        • Gary:

How do you know they don’t do record checks on other companies? Perhaps they do, and everything checked out, so they didn’t feel the need to mention it?

I disagree that LEB should spend money to check out providers. They get a shit-ton of offers in their mailboxes, it’d be prohibitively expensive to check records if that incurred expenditure for all of them. I’d rather see more offers posted, caveat emptor, and have commenters post if they find something off with an offer/company.

With so many dodgy companies about, it’s good to see the new offer posters doing some detective work.

      > this will probably be the last one

I wrote this piece as a test LEB writer. I am sorry to see that the content offended you but rest assure that InceptionHosting is not a “special case”. We do comment on information when its readily available but in most cases the host is in US and there is no equivalent to Company House in US (as per my knowledge)

All I can say is, this is certainly not the first time Company House information has been commented on in a post.

Also the above mentioned were FACTS and Im sure most of us want to know the facts about a host before investing their money and time in it.

      April 26, 2012 @ 11:37 am | Reply
      • That’s fine, I was also just posting the FACTS about this too.

I stand by my point, the focus of LEB is now on finding fault over posting quality deals.

        Anthony.

        • Ok fair enough Asim,

Perhaps on reflection I have taken this a little too personal, and admittedly that was due to the numerous post errors along with information I think was unnecessary to post, it is not like I am unknown to the LEB community, I would have even been willing to give my accountants details and authority to confirm the current situation.

The return was received and updated today it seems so the no longer show as overdue.

Everything just felt a little off but maybe that was just my own paranoia.

Happy to let bygones be bygones.

  3. The post is also wrong I see, the NL LEB is €7 not €6, I did mention the NL offer after the request to reduce the USA offer for LEB would be at similar pricing but obviously no one took 10 seconds to check, probably to bust looking at the companies house website to worry about the pricing :)

      Here are the facts:

      Different name on paypal account.
Different email and domain on paypal account to the account registered.
Domain that was used is showing a suspended cpanel account.
You agreed to the TOS which states you may not use a differently named paypal account.
You say this was for business yet you filled in no company name in the billing information.
      Your billing city is: UK
Your State/Region was entered as UK
Your street address was just a number nothing more.

Regarding the ID, and I quote “If you do not wish to or are unable to do this within 24 hours then your account will be closed and any transactions returned to the paypal account.” which was done.

So frankly you can take your business elsewhere you are not welcome here.

Customers with an ounce of common sense are always welcome however.
