TuneVPS was started in November 2014 by three system administrators with several years of experience working for various hosting companies. Right now, the three of them run the company with the support of 2x Level 1 support guys. The WHOIS information on the domain is public and they even did a beta test at the start of this year on LowEndTalk. Host nodes have an Intel Xeon E3-1270v3 CPU, 32GB of RAM, and 4 hard drives in RAID10. I’m looking forward to hear how these guys are doing should you decide to give them a shot!

Payment methods accepted are Paypal and Payza. There’s a 30-day money-back guarantee in place. Mining, botnet/doorway/carding, hate sites, netscan, etc. are all disallowed. For all the bells and whistles, please read their Terms of Service before you order!

      Thanks

I did, they said they resolved it and closed the ticket. I guess they don’t offer upload speeds higher than 35Mbit/s (was the max I ever got).

Address my ticket all you want darling, but i’m telling the truth, TuneVPS does not offer upload speeds greater than 35~mbit/s.

Download speeds are great however, getting 220mbit/s

I can confirm this as well, though not as you would think.

Their datacenter network doesn’t “stretch” very far it seems. Testing at locations in Los Angeles, CA gave me above 500mbps, but locations in Miami, FL gave around 30mbps.

Default servers for speedtest seem to be pulling from an incorrect source location, which appears to result in consistently lessened speeds due to my previously mentioned issue.

Something you need to understand about the colocrossing network that TuneVPS and a lot of other server providers use is that it has terrible ip geolocation info. Then, when services like speedtest or speedtest-cli try to run an test without a location specified, they will get a wrong location (Seems like it is around Buffalo a lot). So, you end up testing your LA server against test servers on the other side of the US.

To give an idea of one of their LA servers…. I can pretty safely say that they have a 1gbit uplink. Now, whether or not colocrossing has good enough peering to deliver 1gbit across most of the US is another story.

  8. BEWARE of this vendor. They were originally “Venu InfoTech” but have changed hands and the new firm, called “HostMada” are adversarial, predatory and incompetent. I paid my yearly bill on one server a week or so in advance, and then I got a nasty message warning of overdue account. I had to go to paypal and send them the transaction info to keep the server online.

Then I paid the monthly bill on another server, a couple days in advance of the due date which had been stated by Venu Infotech. HostMada took my money, then a few hours later, sent me a nastygram saying my server had been suspended for non-payment.

I am not sticking around for any more of this. I have another server on RAMNODE and they’ve been fine.
