Winity – $7/month 1GB RAM Hyper-V Windows VPS in Orlando — Backupsy offers

If you thought he had enough brands already, you were wrong! Oktay, from — well, you know who he is — recently launched Winity! Winity offers the unique combination of a Hyper-V server with very decent specifications, a custom-coded panel, an included Windows license, and a LowEndPrice! These servers are hosted on a monster of a host node: dual 10-core E5 2660v2 CPUs (40 threads total), 384GB of RAM, 8x 4TB enterprise-grade hard drives in RAID10, 4x 128GB SSDs in RAID10 for caching, backed up by an LSI RAID card, redundant power, and redundant network! The windows license is a 100% genuine Windows 2012 Datacenter R2 license. No evalutation, no tricks. Winity launched in December 2013, but Oktay’s other brands have been around longer. His other brands get very positive reviews, so I expect this to be as good as the others (or even better)! Like always, please leave a review if you try!

I paid for a Backupsy VPS earlier – from the time I paid to the time I was provisioned (and logged in!) was 11 minutes – very pleased – it took me longer than that to decide which location to go with!

Tinkering and playing around with it still so haven’t set too much up, but am very happy with it so far.

Hi i want to purchase a VPS from your site, and was wondering if i can run a Ecommerce Solution (NopCommerce) that only requires:
    Supported operation systems:
    Windows 8
    Windows 7
    Windows Server 2008
    Windows Server 2012
    Supported web servers:
Internet Information Service (IIS) 7.0 or above
    ASP.NET 4.5 (MVC 5.0)
    Supported databases:
MS SQL Server 2005 or above
MS SQL Server Compact 4.0 or above
    Supported browsers:
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 and above
    Mozilla Firefox 2.0 and above
    Google Chrome 1.x
    Apple Safari 2.x
MS Visual Studio 2012 or above (with MVC 5.0 installed). Required for developers who want to edit source code

Also, i have a custom built app i made that connects to my suppliers websites and downloads images and product information and inserts it into the database the NopCommerce runs, is this against the terms of use for the VPS?

    Thank you in advance!

  39. John Mal.:

I have bought the one year pack of winity professional.
My first impression was good because the VPS was delivered within the hour. I worked with it for the next couple of days without any complaints. The third day I transferred and setup some mail enabled domains. The problem was that a lot of my outgoing mails were not delivered because of lack of reverse dns records. So I opened a ticket querying and after a lot of replies I was told that only ONE PTR could be setup and this (multiple PTR records) is a feature that they do not think it important for their client base. I was also told that i should have asked questions like this to their sales team before buying because they much rather tell a client that they are not a good fit for them.

Personally I’m disappointed from this because now I’m stuck with an expensive personal server.
