Pretty good service itself. Provisioning method seems as old as the company is, so you need to make some sudoer and ssh key changes once they install the OS for you.

    # ./slabbed-or-not
Not running under any known container type
    Hypervisor: Xen HVM
    Version: 4.7

    • Hey there,
Thank you for running slabbed-or-not check ;) ‘Vigilance is the price of safety’ (The Dark Knight, 2008).
I am glad to hear that you like the service.
We provide servers with root access and don’t create sudo users on our end because clients may require specific configuration on unmanaged plans. I agree that it might be a little old school xD

can i use 600bps/ for img site?

    • Hello,
Can you please elaborate on what 600bps means? Do you mean the port speed? We have 1Gbps uplink on our VPS, that is usually enough for an image/photo website.
Anyway, if you host an image site, bandwidth is also important as well as RAM (if you plan to cache images).
Theoretically speaking, a VPS is a good choice for an image hosting and our tech specs are decent as well.
However, if you have certain requirements, please forward them to support at https://www.ait.com/company/contact-support/
We will review the requirements and suggest a proper option.
      Thank you for the question!

I signed up to it 20 minutes ago and have yet to receive a welcome email….this is very poor…I can’t believe they do not have instant provisioning for their VPS…
Their customer control panel is written in ASP…
It feels like joining a dinosaur company, with a lot of bones’ dust….even amber smells better. At this very moment they are probably mining for some coal so that the steam can generate electricity in the power plant.
I have pity for them: I just gave $1 to a hospice, please accept my donation (to buy a cardboard coffin?) and a prayer.
    RIP AIT.

      Last episode.
Side note: AIT is the acronym for “Advanced Internet Technology”.
24 hours later, while awaiting for the plan activation: since I had cancelled the Paypal recurring payment, AIT cancelled my the trial altogether & refunded my $1, I couldn’t even test their hand-made antiquity! LOL…
In the middle ages you were burnt at the stake, today you just have to let the free market phase you out; we are more civilized after all!
