Hi, is FUSE enabled on the nodes? If not, can I request it?

    • Walt:

Ended up ordering anyway. Fuse was not enabled by default but after opening a ticket they enabled pretty quickly (<20min turn around time). Also had a small issue when provisioning the VPS, but they also fixed it pretty quickly (<1h).

The support of Hudson does not compare to any other provider and even outperforms the managed providers.

The only problem I had with this provider is the slowness of their VPS
Hopefully someone confirm if already improved in that aspect

In my last bill I got fee addition for 4% in my order and that applied for next payment too (recuring), so i decide to cancel it. But I in my chat with the online support they said that there aren’t fee for creditcard payment
please let me know about it, I am interest to order kvm vps for now, and in my order i have problem with maxmind, could you help me with this issue

        thanks

  10. That dedicated offering is really tempting, but the fact that it has a 60 GB HDD kinda sucks.

I don’t really mind the fact that it’s an HDD, but I’d really like a bit more space, like 200-300 GB

  11. The race to the bottom has come upon us! For only $1.40/mo they would need to acquire 714 customers to make a measly 1k per month.

    November 5, 2015 @ 3:29 am

Do they have Debian 8 templates available on their OpenVZ line? For just hosting websites with the majority of visitors in North America…would their Atlanta location be fine or should I go with Buffalo?

    Thanks

On the order form I chose Ubuntu 15.04 and the first time I logged in I saw it had installed Ubuntu 14.04. The IO is also pretty pathetic – 7MB/s – https://www.petabyet.com/result/2015-11-15-5b9c9b09498b250ecc90314244c4b3ac/

Hmm I tried to order, but my account was marked as fraud? wtf? Also, why is an invoice still generated if my account is considered fraudulent?

  18. KNERD:

I have two VPS with them One in Dallas (OpenVZ) and one in Chicago (KVM).

While their customer service is stealer, I am always having issues with their node in Chicago.
It’s at the point I am going to look for another company since most of their offerings are OpenVZ.

I must say the Dallas location has not had a single issue.

Hi… if I order now under monthly billing, can I later change it to annual and keep the same discount?

I’ve seen these guys posted here on LEB before but never given them a shot. I happened to need a new 256 MB VM today for DNS redundancy, so this deal fit the need perfectly. I was a bit wary with all these negative posts, but since I knew they’d been around a while and it’s only $1.40 I gave them a shot and see how bad the performance really was. I made sure not to use auto-payments on PayPal so they couldn’t rack up charges like some of the commenters mentioned.

I didn’t get flagged for fraud or anything after ordering, so I was set up straight away. The VM is actually quite fast and after doing a cPanel DNS Only install on it and a few other things, I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between this VM and the SSD ones I have from RamNode if I didn’t know the hostnames. It certainly seems snappier than the 128 MB one I have from BuyVM, though that is using HDD (they only use pure SSD for 256+ plans). For reference, I chose the Los Angeles DC.

Who knows if it’ll stand the test of time, but for now I’m pleased to potentially have another reasonably-priced provider to turn to. =)

Why do you not display what operating systems are available with your Linux KVM systems?

    Is fedora23 available?

Be careful… they tend to blame it on you even when its them..

    slow disk, slow network..

packet loss inside their datacenter, apparently my ISP… so they claim…

good for storage not much else.

I took a vps, (KVM) switch, but I can never connect to the server, vps useless, waste of money, the worst that I have ever taken vps
