KoDDoS – $5.39/Month 512MB OpenVZ VPS in Amsterdam, Netherlands

Tags: , , , Date/Time: February 3, 2013 @ 3:12 pm, by Zahra

Marinkovic, from KoDDoS, has prepared two special offers for LowEndBox. I was a little concerned, to say the least, when I saw ‘DDoS’ in the name, however it seems to be related to the DDoS protected hosting they offer, rather than an advertisement for illegal activities.

LEB Special VPS 1

  • 1 vCPU Core
  • 512MB Ram
  • 256MB vSwap
  • 7GB SAS Diskspace
  • 400GB Bandwidth
  • 1Gbps Port Speed
  • 1 IPv4 Address
  • OpenVZ/SolusVM
  • $5.39/Month – Promo code: NewYear2013
  • Order Link
LEB Special VPS 2

  • 1 vCPU Core
  • 768MB Ram
  • 256MB vSwap
  • 15GB SAS Diskspace
  • 700GB Bandwidth
  • 1Gbps Port Speed
  • 1 IPv4 Address
  • OpenVZ/SolusVM
  • $6.93/Month – Promo code: NewYear2013
  • Order Link

This post will be KoDDoS’s first ever offer on LowEndBox. As briefly mentioned above, KoDDoS are a Hong Kong registered company specializing in DDoS protected hosting and have been in business for 3, soon to be 4, years. These specific servers are located with Serverius. We are told that you can enable TUN/TAP through their SolusVM control panel. As they’re new to LowEndBox, I’ve done a bit of digging around. They’re seem to be quite a few reviews on WebHostingTalk regarding them but unfortunately I cannot find any recent reviews on about their vps service. If you have had a vps with them – it would be great if you could comment.

You can pay with Paypal, Credit Cards (through 2co), Western Union, Bank Transfer, Moneygram or Perfect Money. KoDDos offer 7 day money back guarantee. They allow legal adult content, legal proxies and IRC. They don’t however allow shoutbox on their servers because they’re ‘resource intensive’. Spam, botnets, mass mailing, or email marketing, in any shape or form, are also strictly forbidden and will result in ‘immediate termination without warning’. As we usually advise, you may want to read their Term of Service before purchasing.

It’s unclear in which country the company is registered / where the headquarters is located, so that makes the ToS about vague about jurisdiction. It’s strange that it’s ‘sister/daughter’ company offers offshore services while there is an assumption that the headquarters of both companies is located in Paris, France.

IPv4 space is held by a cloak company on Belize. Why? It doesn’t increase the trustworthiness of the company.

The offer looks nice though, but I pass :)

Yes, this seems to be one truly international enterprise :) Owner / Staff from Serbia, IP address space from ARIN swiped to Belize, routed to Amsterdam and company registered god knows where.
Still they seem to have been around long enough, the probability of taking your money and running with it is very close to zero.

      • Hello, I’m not the owner of the company. Owner live in France, and i’m working for company. For sure we will not run with money, as we are in business 3 (soon 4 years). Just to add our company is registred in Belize, and you can find all details here http://www.koddos.com/support.html

The name infers it and the ad markup by LEB admins dance around it DDoS.

Question is do these LEB offers included DDoS protection?!?!?!

Nope. If you look on their website you’ll see which accounts provide ddos protection. Also you can buy just ddos protection from them, http://www.koddos.com/ddos-proxy-protection.html

Oddly enough “These specific servers are located with Serverius.”

The network is complete and utter crap against attacks, let alone the old cisco gear?

I saw my friend get booted completely for a small attack (2 – 5Gbps) it shut there network down entirely..

      Hello

Please check ip routes. We operate our own network and we don’t use Serverius network nor use them as a transit provider. We are directly connected to our transit providers.

  11. I saw some good hosts including Koddos offshore web host and this one I chose. Uptime is good. And I have never had a problem using their control panel. So far they have been excellent. Their team always ready to support by 24/7/365 – great plus for them, highly recommended. I have had to contact support a few times and on all occasions my questions was answered very promptly. They sent a guy out to look at it turns out I did something wrong in my config file. They fixed all the troubles. Hope everything keeps going the same way and I do not have problems like what I’ve had with some other hosts.

These rare qualities are what I have experienced in my long-term relationship with them and are why I highly recommend Koddos offshore hosting for your technological needs. Setting up with them was a snap. I had my full site online and at 100% steam within 2 hours. Uptime is good. And I have never had a problem using their control panel. They offer free instant setup, so their support team helped me a lot. My speed connectivity is great, and my visitors are really happy. I will definitely continue using their services. Recommended.

Some notes on commenting on LowEndBox:

  • Do not use LowEndBox for support issues. Go to your hosting provider and issue a ticket there. Coming here saying "my VPS is down, what do I do?!" will only have your comments removed.
  • Akismet is used for spam detection. Quoting webhostingtalk.com URL seems to get binned consistently here, but I do peek into the spam box frequently to publish those comments.
