LowEndBox - Cheap VPS, Hosting and Dedicated Server Deals

BuffaloVPS - $6 1GB OpenVZ VPS in Chicago Black Friday Sale

BuffaloVPS Adam from BuffaloVPS emailed me their Black Friday sale promo codes for their “Standard” and “Professional” OpenVZ plans.

  • Standard
  • 512MB memory
  • 20GB storage
  • 1000GB/month data transfer
  • $5/month (Promo code: bfstan, Direct Signup Link)
  • Professional
  • 1024MB memory
  • 30GB storage
  • 1500GB/month data transfer
  • $6/month (Promo code: bfpro, Direct Signup Link)

They take PayPal only, and have their servers with ColoCrossing in Chicago IL. Interestingly that Adam started as a reseller of ChicagoVPS to get used to everything, and 8 months later we still haven’t seen VPS ready for Buffalo. Still on the card, @Chris & @Adam? BuffaloVPS do have stable servers and quick support, being on ChicagoVPS/ColoCrossing’s infrastructure.

  1. LEA,

Exciting news, we were holding out to make it a surprise but the datacenter is ready. Chris and ChicagoVPS will also be offering Buffalo I think. BuffaloVPS will be launching a special sale for New Years :) So keep an eye out!

    Thanks,

    Adam

  2. Hey Guys,

Remember, this deal was posted a hair trigger early. This deal is official starting on 11/25 but I may let it start on 11/24 after dinner here in the states as that is when everyone else is getting their Black Friday gig’s going.

And to confirm what Adam is talking about. We finished up our negotiations and working on populating the data center with the best stuff for BuffaloVPS. Have some testing shortly and then we should be live by the beginning of the year. We may even have Atom servers available in the buffalo datacenter only for a good price ;). I’d keep the eyes open on this one. May be big.

    • Interesting. Sorry if it was posted “too early” — there’s no Black Friday/Cyber Monday where I am so timing was a bit mixed up :)

      • LEA,

It is fine. We are perfectly fine with it, we are coping. :)

        Thanks for your fine service.

ADAM ! can you please add a CentOS 6 x86 Operating System Template to the order form. i noticed you only have CentOS 5 X .
i know that ChicagoVPS has a CentOS 6 X86 on the website so if you have the same system does BuffaloVPS uses an old template of ChicagoVPS order form ?
i’m waiting to make an order for Professional plan for $6 .

    Thanks,

    • Tommy,

We have CentOS 6 uploaded on Solus. Just choose a template on order form and when you get details reinstall the VPS through Solus. I will try and get the order form updated tonight :)

      Thanks,

        • Tommy,

You can order now. It was released early since it was posted early. We didn’t want people to try and order and have it not work. Not worth the hassle.

          Thanks,

          Adam

  7. Tommy:

Adam, please fix the order form. for some reason it shows the regular price of $14.95 without discount.

    i tried this link : https://billing.buffalovps.com/cart.php?a=add&pid=13&promocode=bfpro

    it gives :

    Order Summary
    OpenVZ VPS – Professional
    Professional $14.95 USD
    » Operating System: CentOS 5 x86 $0.00 USD
    Setup Fees: $0.00 USD
    Monthly: $14.95 USD
    Total Due Today: $14.95 USD

maybe the link is wrong, and if it is you have to also update Lowendbox Admin .

    Thanks,
    Tommy

    • All you need to do is clicking on “Checkout” to come to the page when you actually need to pay something — then you’ll see the final price at $6/month.

      • Tommy:

    • Are you kidding?

      November 29, 2011 @ 8:50 am
      • denis:

No! Bcoz when i choose centos with cpanel/whm the cost doesn’t change and even though I can order with that amount it was hard for me to believe either which is the reason WHY I didn’t order in the first place! & u don’t have to be a sarcastic jerk, jerk!

        November 29, 2011 @ 8:52 am
      • I’m sure there’s no add-on at order form. I made order few hours ago. Maybe what you think cPanel is an OS image Centos with cPanel. And I’m not sarcastic like you did.

Could you please explain what this means

      CentOS 5 x86_64 w/ cPanel/WHM $0.00 USD ?

Does this mean I still have to pay for the cpanel license ?

      November 29, 2011 @ 9:01 am
      • Of course. It’s only OS with pre-installed cPanel, but not the license. You need to buy cPanel license to use it.

        November 29, 2011 @ 9:04 am
      • Of course. You are choosing a drop down of available OS Templates.

        Thanks,

I have order a Proffesional Vps in BuffaloVps some ours ago. I’ve received Welcome mail, onvice and receipt, but nothing about Ip, Dns, etc. I can log in but don’t see Virtual servers. Posted ticket #827965 but do not have any response.

May setup process be to slow (3 hours and half at least) ? Or may I miss something in setup process ?

it is normal for this wait with the holidays on us. We are short staffed like nearly every other corporation. You will be setup shortly.
