We recently featured hosting providers who offer cheap VPS under $2 USD per month — the providers mentioned in our $2 USD VPS post were providers who offered VPS for $2/month or under $24/year! Amazing value if you really think about it.
We’ve decided to challenge ourselves, so we were thinking about those who are searching for $1 USD VPS without having to prepay! We knew this post would be tougher, so we’ve challenged ourselves and searched both of our communities LowEndBox and LowEndTalk for these particular offers.
Providers we’ve found who were most recently featured on LowEndBox or our LowEndTalk members who recently advertised VPS at $1/Month in our offers section who offer $1 USD VPS per Month (no more than $1.99 per month).
We know searching for a reliable, ultra-cheap $1 USD VPS is tough so we’ve compiled providers who have been able to offer these cheap VPS.
If you decide to purchase a $1 VPS please be sure to leave your experience in the comments below.

Due to the fact that Ftpit is no match with VPSSlim /Ram and disc size/, other two “offers” goes to unknown pages and I am not willing to dig deeper into this, it really looks like a clickbait or hidden promo of VPSSlim….
Its curious, people doesnt know yet. Google cloud give you 300$ bonus to use its VPS Servers… Its free for 1 year…
Is this still valid?
yes.. https://console.cloud.google.com/compute u will need a credit card, but they dont charge u. Only to verify you.
Be nice to have info on location for each of the providers. Kind of a deal breaker for some people.
What?
M from uganda thanks alot many vps providers had chased us but i saw ur post it helped us alot m now able to earn a living ,make also a post on how to make money with vps real ways
There is not a lot to choose from in the under $1/month segment.
goggle chsrgrd gor monthly bandwidth consumed as well and their 1 vcpu is pricier than the market.
too much jumping through hoops before you get an account. can’t be bothered with this.
What sort of troubles have you had ordering one of these packages? Please let us know.
Just signed up with vpsslim, customer service is non existent. Ill change my opinion once they reply to my simple request why i cant ping my vps.
Its been 6 hours since I wrote this ticket. Dont bother with vpsslim if you like wasting time.
So for €1,79 a month you expect responses within 4 hrs? At these prices you should have a certain base knowledge and not need support
Thanks for the overview, just seeing this a little late as I just signed up at Racknerd for 16,55 yearly (close to 1USD per month) – but region wise VPSslim would have been better…awell for next time
Hi Rob, thanks for signing up with RackNerd!
This means a lot to the team and I – we know you have many options, so thank you again for choosing us. If you ever need anything, we’ll be here for you.
Dustin, I wonder if RackNerd $1 VPS comes with IPv6 address?
Hi Eddy! Thank you so much for expressing interest in our services. While that particular plan does not have IPv6 available, we can always discuss which plans do. And for example, if you were to order this one to start, then in the future wish to upgrade to a plan that does we can pro-rate invoice you the difference for a plan that does.
We sincerely appreciate your interest and hope that we can do business together.
Hi, I bought the 10.86$ one, it shows 2.93TB capacity, what happens after it? Sorry if new question. And if I wanted to buy 4-5 vps, how does that work, will it show in same control panel? Thanks!
Hello, that is a good question! And thank you for signing up with RackNerd, we sincerely appreciate the business!
As you expand your services with us, the additional VPS will be associated to your existing control panel, making it easy to manage your VMs with RackNerd.
Lastly, regarding bandwidth, should you approach the allotment we’ll actually email you in advance advising you that you’re approaching your allotment, this way you can upgrade if desired. Otherwise, the VPS would automatically be suspended until the bandwidth resets. The bandwidth resets monthly, every first of the month.
We hope to see you expanding with RackNerd!
Hi Dustin, I just came across this post now. Fyi, I had signed up for 20 VPSes with you just recently.
Thanks for the great service, and you have a great BizDev and support teams.
Looking forward to mutual business growth.
I just ordered a vpsslim Server… CC charged, but than order market as Fraud… Also the Control Consol is more offline than Online…
Did you get this issue solved?
We have updated our list of $1/month VPS packages to include HudsonValleyHost, DediPath and RackNerd. We have removed the prior hosts who were either out of stock or no longer selling those packages.
HudsonValley is 128MB ram
We are going to be adding more offers soon too.
Does HudsonValleyHost provide 128GB or 128MB RAM? Did you make a typo?
Type-o fixed, sorry about that.
I also keep an updated list of offers under $20 and even $10 if anyone is interested: https://dah85.com/vps_under_20_per_year.html and https://dah85.com/vps_under_10_per_year.html
It’s still in the $1/month category at $1.75 imo :)
Dustin@RackNerd are the offers with VAT or not for EU citizens?
Hi Carl, if you choose to pay via Credit Card as an example, you wouldn’t see any additional fees added, i.e VAT, GST.
If you choose to pay using PayPal, our payment processor does collect, file, and remit on our behalf.
Customers in some locations can enter their VAT ID or GST ID during the checkout process if they are exempt from payment of the tax. With a valid ID, tax will not be collected.
If a customer forgets or is unable to enter a VAT ID or GST ID at the time of the purchase, they can submit a copy of their valid VAT ID or GST ID at https://questionacharge.com along with their order reference/order ID within 30 days of the purchase. Our processor will issue a credit to the original payment method.
IONOS/1&1 currently has a $1/mo offer
that is usually a bold lie.
u have to buy an expensive package, then they bs you with some bs calculus saying first month $ 1 only.
what a fraud!

Hi Kiramat Khan,
Good question, since MT4 doesn’t natively support Linux, we are suggesting a Windows VPS for this – here’s a Windows VPS special: https://my.racknerd.com/cart.php?a=add&pid=435
We’re confident you’ll be happy with our service :)
Racknerd works flawlessly, and offers incredible value for money; and I could pay with iDeal (Dutch payment system), ideal for me as I can’t get a CC.
Glad you have had a positive experience with RackNerd. Thanks for sharing your opinion!
Hi Maurice, we appreciate your business :) Happy to hear that our service is working out for your needs and that the payment options we provide work out for you as well :)
Thank You for being a customer of RackNerd.
Can you explain the difference between PURE SSD RAID-10 and SSD CACHED RAID-10?
Hi Ghanwar,
With a SSD cached set up, it is powered by a mix of Enterprise SATA HDD’s, and a premium LSI RAID Controller w/ SSD caching. This provides better performance (more than enough for most real-world use cases) compared to a set up with just HDD’s, but needless to say, a Pure SSD set up would still be faster than an SSD cached setup.
In Los Angeles, our VPS nodes are running on SSD cached infrastructure, while our other VPS locations are on pure SSD’s. We also have NVMe and Ryzen offerings available in Los Angeles. If you’re looking to host an application that requires x resources, we can help! Just get in touch sales@racknerd.com
Thank You!
Hello, Mr. Dustin.
Currently my VPS is in the Racknerd data center in Los Angeles, I want to move to a data center that uses Pure SSD (not SSD Cache) and my location is in Indonesia. Which data center is suitable and do you recommend for me?
Hello @Ghanwar, all of our locations are pure SSD or NVMe with the exception of Los Angeles being SSD Cached. Though in Los Angeles, we do also offer pure NVMe VPS based on our Ryzen product line.
We’re also working on implementing pure SSD nodes going forward in Los Angeles.
Lastly, if you’re looking for an alternative to Los Angeles, but pure SSD, try our San Jose location :) You’ll be happy.
THANK YOU!! i got lucky to reach here after trying the horrible performance in IONOS (cancelled after 3 hours)
RackNerd rocks, great performance and ease of use.
commenting after one month of use, managed to configure wireguard, nextcloud, shadowsocks, dante, ntopng 4.3, Openvpn..it kept me busy for a month :)
Stay away from Astricks sip, if you dont know how to secure it, it will get hacked within hours on the default port 5060
Really grateful to see this post.
Thank You Adam ;) We appreciate the business, support, and also you sharing your experience with the community. This greatly helps.
Thank You!
FYI to anyone who clicks on these links there is an affiliate code associated with them, presumably to the benefit of “Ghanwar”.
I actually settled for a $ 2 deal webhosting.
Which deal?
oracle cloud gives you free 1 GB ram, 50 GB storage 2 vms with 10 TB total bandwith
Thought I should leave some positive feedback for RackNerd. I had one VPS with them, all going well, no issues. Recently needed to reach out with a couple of minor questions, and their responsiveness was amazing. So I’ve set up another vps instance with them!
Hi Steve, thank you so much for working with us at RackNerd. We sincerely appreciate the business, and are happy to hear that our service level has been great.
We’ll continue to provide reliable, and good service!
Hello
For me, the experience started with RackNerd as an amazing one. Great deal, quick service, very good performances with my vps, therefore, I decided to move their my nodes for a great crypto project (presearch as a search engine). It then quickly turned into a very disappointing experience. For no reason their service asked me to either disclose complete ( I mean ALL) id data and bank account or I would get banned. Other option was to pay them in crypto to keep my servers running but I don’t get it, as it would mean be 100% anonymous. So why accepting payments in crypto & stay anonymous or asking for full disclosure???
We had a weekend planned with the family, I wrote them telling I was willing to give my data once but back home, but they just disconnected my nodes with no information and refunded me. What the hell is that? I would rather have my vps up & running with them as the performance is good, but is this a way to treat a new customer? I had set up 9 vps and wanted to do more. What can you do now?
Hi Johan — really happy to hear that your experience with RackNerd has been great.
I do see that you mentioned a slight hiccup in service with our risk department. Trust me, I’ve been in your situation – whereby I’ve purchased something (especially something I’ve personally been eager to obtain) and then suddenly have to deal with a risk team regarding verification. This can be frustrating, along with inconveniences.
At RackNerd, rarely, an account is suspended. This happens when information doesn’t match. Some examples include: an order placed on a VPN, third-party payment processors indicating elevated risk or discrepancies.
Thus for your protection and ours we initiate a conversation and at times suspend service until an account is verified. I’m not entirely sure what exactly caused your account to be flagged, I do want to make myself available to help, just email dustin@racknerd.com
I have had a pretty good experience with Racknerd, for 10 bucks a year for a full VPS it performs better than my $6/month VPS elsewhere. I shamefully had to request support from them before (for an issue that I later realized was actually my own fault – doh!), and I feel bad since I don’t pay much but they still were fast to respond to me and give me a hand, which is appreciated. I hope that they can keep up the good work.
Hi Kore Su, thank you for being an awesome customer of RackNerd. It’s great to hear that our service has been great, especially for the value and service we offer on the dollar.
We’re always here 24×7 to help – so feel free to reach out at any time. We appreciate your business
I was initially sceptical of using ultra cheap VPS that costs under USD 1 per month. Finally, i went for the USD 10.98 per ear LEB special from Racknerd (NY location, 3 TB per month, 1GB, 1 vCPU). The experience has been nothing short of fantastic. The Racknerd service desk tickets are usually responded within a few minutes, for example, to set the reverse PTR address. Only two minor points as (1) IPv6 is available only in LA not NY and (2) There is no backup/snapshot facility in the control panel. For this price, I was not expecting those.
Thanks for sharing your experience, Cyberian. Be sure to share this $1 post with your friends! :)
Hi Cyberian — really happy to see that your experience with RackNerd has been amazing!
We sincerely appreciate your business.
RackNerk, DediPath are good providers. I recommend them.
Hi Tu! Really appreciate the recommendation!
FYI, the $1 racknerd deal only has New York available for the location.
Hello TLM – We’ve added inventory in multiple locations :) Our inventory does fluctuate, so it’s best to keep a close eye on our order forms to see what is available at the time.
Are these VPS servers suitable for sending newsletters, is port: 25 open?
Hi, Jon Biloh
I’m appreciate once order success on racknerd.
Thank you very much for the amazing package. And also for your hard work and researching.
All the very best!!!
Hi @Warren – we appreciate your business here at RackNerd :)
If you ever need anything, feel free to reach out, we’ll be here to help.
racknerd has ipv6 ?
only in limited locations
you should email him dustin@racknerd.com if you need ipv6
or use tunnelbroker
Thanks for this blog.
We are also a hosting service provider and we are in market survey.
This blog will really help us to place a accurate rate in the market.
Your services are cheap and helpful.
I bought the service of RackNerd, the server quality in the long run I don’t need to know, but the support is very good, I have a problem with the server I am using, I sent a ticket to support, and the technician helped very fast, I rate RackNerd 10+/10. Wish you successful business.
Hi @MasterVNC — We appreciate you vouching for RackNerd, this means a lot to the team and me.
We appreciate your wishes, and hope to service you for years to come.
RackNerk, DediPath are good providers. I recommend them.
Hi Raj! We appreciate the recommendation. RackNerd is the right choice!
Thank You for doing business with us.
Dustin@RackNerd is it intentional that I can’t select PayPal for the $10.98/year VPS?
Hi @NotANumber – we sincerely appreciate your interest!
You should be able to, depending on your country — give it a shot, and if you have any issues just e-mail me directly dustin@racknerd.com and I’ll personally help.
Worked fine for me.
I bought RackNerd two vservers:
LEB Special 1GB KVM VPS
1GB RAM
1x vCPU Cores
17GB SSD RAID-10 Storage
3TB Premium Bandwidth
1 Gbit Port
Full Root Access
1 Dedicated IPv4 Address
KVM/SolusVM
Pricing: $10.98/year
Awesome! We’re happy to have you with us :)
Amazing Hostnamaste’s VPS service, highly recommended it.
I’ve been using the above RackNerd VPS plan for the past couple weeks and I couldn’t be happier with it. It currently serves as my security camera DVR, a personal VPN, and a low-usage web server, all for $11/year, with no reliability issues so far. I expect that I will use this service for as long as it exists
Hi Ray – Thank You for sharing your positive experience with the community.
We sincerely appreciate your business and hope to work with you for years to come.
Hello, my question is the following:
What does LEB SPECIAL mean?
Hi @Sandro – LEB SPECIAL simply is a term/product name of the promotion. It’s an abbreviation of the community name “LowEndBox”.
I hope this helps!
Any idea when this offer will be available again if ever?
LEB Special 1GB KVM VPS
1GB RAM
1x vCPU Cores
17GB SSD RAID-10 Storage
3TB Premium Bandwidth
1 Gbit Port
Full Root Access
1 Dedicated IPv4 Address
KVM/SolusVM
Pricing: $10.98/year
Thanks!
Hi Zlight, we hope to bring this product back soon – though we are sold out on many of plans for the time being as we work towards replenishing inventory. We’re popular around here, so our inventory across all locations quickly is sold out.
Like others I was sceptical about the Racknerd offer: 1$ vps seems to be an unsustainable business model. However, I have to say I am very pleased by my purchase. No technical issues after 5 months, I had a question about the payment and the support answered within one hour (frankly for this price if it had taken a whole day it would have been ok)
So… thanks for these ultra-cheap boxes Racknerd. Wish you success.
Greg, thanks for sharing your experience with the rest of our LowEndBox community!
hi all
try
https://www.racknerd.com/11-11/
12 dolar / year
The top Racknerd package is not available anymore. Kinldy check.
This has been fixed with a new offer that is currently in stock, sorry about that.
This has been fixed.
Have been with Dedipath since last black friday. The vps was running smoothly with only one or two incidents in the last year. Fixed with a ticket in hours if not minutes. Thanks for the good service.
Giving this offer a try to test out a few WordPress builds.
$1 VPS PROVIDER: CatalystHost
CatalystHost usually makes a special offer on Black Friday but this offer is available year round, even if they don’t advertise it on their site. Consider this your secret handshake to get in on this fantastic deal. These little boxes with high bandwidth are perfect for VPNs.

OpenVZ 7/SolusVM
Locations: Dallas
Pricing: $12.00/year
Good morning, I would like to test a Low Cost VPS for 1 month or a few hours to test my applications that need up to 1Giga of data daily, which one could you suggest or indicate?
You can try HostNamaste.com
RIP, racknerd downgraded from 1GB to 0.75GB recently…
Lol, are you serious?
I googled for one dollar vps and thanks to finding your article I signed up to racknerd. I’m quite satisfied with them. Support is very responsive. Really nothing to complain at ONE usd per month. Offers Almalinux, Debian, Ubuntu and a few others.
You have complete control over the vm including VNC except unable to mount your own iso as cdrom so if you want other distros or even Windows you would have to somehow automate the installation on reboot (shrink the fs, download your bootstrap, prey)
Glad you found LowEndBox, Johnny! Spread the word! :)
Thank You for posting – we didn’t downgrade any customers – though I do understand what you’re implying, a new promotion was created (and this is quite common and expected) as we do intend on bringing on new promotions.
Customers/prospects seeking something particular/custom — we’re happy to help. Just e-mail sales@racknerd.com
Still looking for one located on South East Asia, Singapore preferred. But haven’t found one that is in $1 category.
please, Don’t be dick!
Are any of these (RackNerd maybe) planning to introduce Ubuntu 22.04 LTS as an image option?
I am already running 22.04LTS on racknerd. do-release-upgrade from ubuntu that comes default
Nice work @gigel — appreciate your business :)
Hi Jim, great question!
Yes, infact now supported :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDSKWEuTSWE
Thanks Dustin! I have had a good experience with Racknerd previously – IPv6 set up super quickly, good performance on the VPS, no billing issues. I’m happy to be signing up today for another and will use 22.04!
I am thinking about getting the Cloud Server VPS. (2nd one) because it offers a bit more storage for the price compared to RackNerd. I see everyone vouching for RackNerd but no one for CloudServer so I am a bit skeptical. On top of that, I want to run docker and I don’t know if docker will work on CloudServer or not. I have emailed them but I did not get a response.
Wow better specs on ram and storage for CloudServer! At the time I had to make the choice, Racknerd was the best option.
I hope Racknerd will step up their specs to match CS. Honestly if I had to choose now, obviously CS does look more attractive!
I went with Racknerd for two years paid in advance since I dislike monthly bills and subscriptions, so I will be stuck at 768Mb ram and 12GB disk for quite a while. But maybe for fun I’d try one month of CS too.
Cool! I can see why RackNerd has a reputation.
By any chance do you know how I can tell if docker will work on or not?
Gigel, we really do strive to offer the best performance for the lowest cost, if you give us a try let us know how we did!
Brandon, you guys are a JOKE. NO response to ticket or email or request to cancel???
Hello, thank you for considering CloudServer! Docker should work, we use KVM and is compatible.
Hi, thank you. That is great to hear.
Thanks!! very usefull
1 vCPU Core
10 GB PURE SSD RAID-10 Storage
768 MB RAM
Will the Ubuntu graphical interface be installed with these specifications? Or can you only work with the terminal?!
So, without a graphical interface, is it possible to run a graphical program like Firefox through the terminal?
No go for HudsonValleyHost for me. Their purchase form was missing the Captcha, meaning I cannot complete my purchase with them. While their support was initially responsive, after transferring the ticket over to Billing, I was left hanging for ONE WHOLE WEEK. I tried to follow-up multiple times (once every two days), and to this day, ZERO response from them thereafter.
Anyone who is thinking on HVH, take this as a warning. I may be a cheapskate, but bless them for wasting one whole week of my time trying to get this to work.
Please do not use RackNerd we have issued a dirty IP that is being blocked by almost all internet sites. they refuse to provide a new IP without charging a Fee and they are unable to provide the IP before purchase to verify it’s clean. Spend More go with a better host that actually cares about you as a customer.
I know there was the Hostnamaste’s cheap VPS Plans added here but where are they ?
Server Host promo code doesn’t work. It’s $5/month.
I do not belive my eyes: the progress is appeared after critics.
My vps not working I message but no actual reply from vpshostings.co
No reply just a time waste
Ordered one from server host, status ONLINE but its RTO when I ping it, tried to restart several times still no luck. Just created a ticket, will see how it goes…
Support responded in timely manner, replaced twice and finally i have my vps. Good service to try based on price :)
Server Host LEB – 1024 MB KVM VPS. I have just reg, but it is pending, why????
don’t ask here, just create a ticket and ask to them lol
Cloudservers are scammers! I ordered a $10 vps from them, and then decided to cancel. They have not responded to my ticket for almost 20 hours, nor to direct emails. They should not be allowed on LEB
Did you ever ever get a response?
@jbiloh – time to update the page and remove Server Host (VPS Hosting Service). Their offer is dead.
I just checked the offer from ServerHost and it is working fine. Please make sure you use the coupon code.
I’m currently testing Server Host (https://vpshostingservice.co) in their Buffalo, New York, USA; but their speed is around 1000 kbps. I’m attaching Curl’s output:
Hello. I need a small server and I want to buy the one from CloudServer. It has cheaper price and more storage for my purpose. Can someone confirm they are still up and allow to get that server?
I am very less on budget atm and I don’t want to lose $10 if I don’t receive the mentioned server. :’)
PS. I’m also a member of lowendtalk
I am using the ClouServer service. It doesn’t have IPv6, but everything else is OK. I don’t know if it offers a deadline for repentance.
I’ve been using CloudServer for about 2 weeks now. Everything works fine :)
Thanks for sharing your positive experience with CloudServer, Ishan.
I still don’t find them trustable.
What do u not trust about them ?
Hello, yes this offer is still valid! Thank you for considering CloudServer!
Do you offer any kind of “30-day money back guarantee”?
Please stay away from HudsonValleyHost.
They dont help you, their answer to everything is “reinstall the node”.
why these orders not support Alipay?
As a Chinese, I met a bounch of problem with Paypal. I can’t using Paypal for ordoring IONONS, OVH etc VPS.
Alipay and WeChat-pay, Chinese oftenl used them, they are goog ways to pay.
I suggest VPS suppliers that can support them for order.
It looks like the first provider, Server Host, has increased the amount of RAM in their offering from 1GB to 1.5GB.
We will check this out! :)
I can confirm that Server Host increased the offering to 1.5 GB for the same price. I updated the page accordingly.
I wish I had time to research before renewing my racknerd – there are two more interesting players – netcup and strato – found them via reddit r/selfhosted. They don’t cap you to 1TB monthly traffic and offer 30GB storage. Definitely better for EU users like me. The only bullet point offers now for me racknerd is that being US based I can rarely do a quick ssh port forward and access a local proxy to visit some US sites that forbid EU visitors.
When I asked racknerd about even considering discussing this for the future, the answer was the website chat box person cannot forward the suggestions up the decision chain and instead directed me to contact sales or support.
Just bought a VPS from Server Host (vpshostingservice.co) for 1.6 usd/ month and it was my mistake. I ordered a polish location, but they gave me in NL. And my biggest dissapointment was when i saw a network speed of my fresh VPS. Speed doesnt exeed 10 Mbps (both for in and out). So i complained to tech support who replied they improved my VPS speed, but this was untrue, because speed was just 10Mbps as before. This company is not honest to their customers!!!
