I just tried HostMem and after registering account, HostMem showed that $9.99 deal is all sold out. Probably need to update the page so that people does not have to create account just to see that the deal is sold out.

  5. Had the pleasure of trying out the RackNerd $24/y offering. 500mbps uplink, outperforms standard GCE instances @ $24/m on everything except disks, probably runs on some slow HDDs. Great offering still and can easily work around the HDD bottleneck if you need better IO. Support was also top notch, answering low prio questions in under 10 mins.

Can you explain the difference between PURE SSD RAID-10 and SSD CACHED RAID-10?

    PURE SSD RAID-10
    LEB Special 1GB KVM VPS

    SSD CACHED RAID-10
    LEB Special 1.5GB

    SSD CACHED RAID-10
    LEB Special 2.5GB
    https://my.racknerd.com/aff.php?aff=1922&pid=137

    January 10, 2021 @ 10:56 pm | Reply
    • SSD cache means the primary RAID storage is using spinning HDD and using an SSD for cache.

Pure SSD is where all drives are SSD based and there are no spinning drives.

Hello Ernie. Faster SSD Cache or Pure SSD?
        Thank you for your answer

        • Generally pure SSD would be faster. Theres no spinning drives involved.

Is all LEB special, and exclusive is promo for 1 year? Or for every year? And how about ipv6?

    January 31, 2021 @ 3:31 pm | Reply
    • Hi Andrian Rahardja — renewal rates from RackNerd would be the same exact as you paid at sign up :)

Native IPv6 is available in Los Angeles, and for any other location (for our VPS product line) we recommend using tunneled IPv6 such as tunnelbroker.net.

We look forward to working with you.

  11. Hi Andrian Rahardja — happy to hear that you’re happy with the level of service we provide. I did a search for your ticket, and realize the timezone difference is what caused the delay in response from our sales team. Our sales team works from 9 AM to 6 PM PST. And oftentimes, they’re checking sales tickets remotely as our goal is to provide speedy assistance.

If you need anything else, be sure to let me know — I’ll be here to help dustin@racknerd.com

  12. The 2.5GB RackNerd deal is insanely good! I feel almost bad, like I’m ripping them off.

Thank you so much for this low-cost, high-quality service. It’s really helpful for open source developers like myself who want quality hosting for side projects, but aren’t making any money from them to offset the cost.
