The pricing doesn’t seem to be right on all three OVZ offers. I already have had a great VPS with them for quite a while and have been quite happy with them :-)

Hm, it says this when I go to checkout: “The promotion code you entered has been applied to your cart but no items qualify for the discount yet – please check the promotion terms”

        • Make sure you don’t change the billing term from the order link. If that doesn’t do it, which one are you testing? They all appear to work from here.

Yeah, I was changing the billing cycle, I didn’t realize the offer was only valid for annual billing cycles.

    • ub3rst4r:

It’s a fair AUP if you ask me and that’s one of the reasons I got a VPS with them. The only ones that think its a “hard” AUP are the ones that want to abuse their servers, use it to spam, or do something else that’s illegal.

      • noisycode:

Quite agreed. The performance and the stability highly depend on what users do with their boxes. A harsh AUP helps box with legit purposes perform better.

Anyway, I have been a happy customer for a year. I have an OVZ box in Jax, and the uptime keeps great. Recommend Crissic.

I have 4 VPS boxes with them and I have to admit they have been amazing and the prices have been great. Sometimes support has been a little slow in the past if you want a true production machine but lately I think its been way faster. AUP hasn’t been a problem even though I have had an issue or two in the past with overuse due to some weird java problems, they have been really understanding and never kicked me off. Would totally recommend to anyone needed a fast bandwidth machine with great resources.

Well first I’m not complaining here, just to make sure it’s the io speed provided. I also experienced io speed around 36-70 which I think pretty not normal for Crissic server. If it’s the confirmed speed then it’s fine with me..

I see, I reacted because you said “Disk IO seems pretty slow..” followed by a 154MB/s DD test. This topic has been discussed many times before at LET, and usually the consensus is that DD alone is not a good indicator of disk performance. but my opinion, 154MB/s is very good for DD, specially on KVM.

    • Hello,

We do not offer DDoS protection. We do utilize BGP Null communities and will nullroute IPs that are hit with nullroutes, and will suspend VPS caught performing outbound DoS. This is fully automated and tickets are sent to the customer(s) when an IP is nulled, and when the null is removed.

  46. In the acceptable use policy, it states they don’t allow bulk email, which means more than 400 emails in a 24 hour period.

Does this mean outgoing only? If I receive a lot of email, but only send a few, will the policy go into effect if I receive more than 400 messages in a day?

If the purpose is to prevent a VPS spammer, I would imagine it only applies to outgoing messages. But I wanted to make sure, since I will be using is as my personal email host.

Warning!!! These guys are the worst on the planet
Set this up as a backup server, for cPanel, MySQL, etc…. Heaven forbid ANYTHING send them traffic, right?
    Traffic rate? 1M/s
    Bandwidth for said “DDOS”? 75meg
Do NOT sign up with these guys unless you are prepared to deal with inept customer service, pathetic disks, etc…

Don’t buy the VPS, believe me, I moved from Ramnode to Crissic because of the price tag and realized it’s a most stupid decision I’ve ever made. Their disk is so slow that it takes forever to pull some data down to local…

  58. Purchase two cPanel licenses with them (not seeing them say Internal or External license limit when checking a post at WHT), worked on first month. Next month after I paid for a license, they say this service is not available for external client.
    Ask for refund. No refund.
A big company can not refund just $12.00? :)) That’s good news for me. Still in Paypal dispute.
A small secret for whom wants to play with them! :)

    • cPanel has a very few select providers that are allowed to sell external licenses, such as BuycPanel. We do not offer refunds on cPanel licenses (or any license for that matter) as we get billed per license we have active, regardless of how long the license was active for. Unfortunately we did not notice the licenses being activated for external IPs until after cPanel had reached out to us indicating that it was external licenses. I do apologize for the confusion and will make sure to get our website updated to reflect that these are internal use only.

      • This is not a big problem. I can agree to cancel a license in second month.

A REAL SUCK is in second month when I PAID for an invoice and you did not renew it. Do you think about refund my money? That’s simple to put a reason “Virtual good, no refund” in Paypal dispute, but I guess you also can do it with any unhappy client as well!

    +++ CANNOT RECOMMEND CRISSIC +++

Freshly purchased vServer got traffic spikes (havn’t touched the server) and got null-routed immediately. After sending a ticket and asking whats going on i got blamed that it was my fault and my responsibility.
One hour later i was banned and my server was blocked. No more responses from crissic after asking for money back.

    Performing a charge-back to get my money…

Seemed that Crissic was taken over by Quadranet. That was followed by a Datacenter Migration from Jacksonville to Miami last weekend.

Now my VServer is not working since two days. Opened a ticket, got an answer that everything should be fine now, it is not. The server is not reachable, also no reboot etc. is possible. Any others here experiencing the same problem?

  62. Crissic was my favorite provider. After acquired by Quadranet, service gradually decreased. Sometime reboot itself, sometime cannot SSH, etc. OK, time to move on. Looking for another good provider now.

Apologies for bumping an old post, but I’ve used Crissic for over a year now, and I have absolutely no complaints. There was one hangup that was resolved incredibly fast. Compared to most other cheap VPS services, this gets an A+.

I have 4 services with them and hosted for years, but suddenly this year they just not remind me on renewal but suspend my vps instantly upon expiry. checking with them, being ignored. I believed they are going to close down anytime, better move out your services from them while you can.
