Joe from QuickWeb sent me their latest offer on their Germany OpenVZ VPS. For $14.50/3 months (quarterly payment required, ~$4.83/month) you’ll be able to gain root on the following box :)
- 256MB guaranteed/384MB burstable memory
- 12GB storage
- 120GB/month data transfer on 100Mbps
- OpenVZ/SolusVM
Order them here. Couldn’t find anything similar on their website as “Germany VPS > OpenVZ” actually goes to their WHT special page. They are also offering smaller Xen boxes in German. For $18.50/3 months (quarterly payment required, ~$6.17/month) you get
- 128MB memory/256MB swap
- 5GB storage
- 240GB/month data transfer on 100Mbps
- Xen/SolusVM
Order the Xen lite package here. QuickWeb.co.nz currently is the hosting provider for LowEndBox (80MB Xen VPS in Dallas) and I have been pretty happy so far. They are a kiwi company and has been around since 2005 (trading as Neodelphi).

I love QuickWeb :)
Even though I am on their Germany node, but the VPS has been great with exceptional uptime.
++1 for QuickWeb :)
They seem to host this blog well – Good luck QuickWeb!
What’s QuickWeb’s stance on IRC? The acceptable usage policy does not explicitly prohibit it, but it doesn’t hurt to ask.
As far as I can recall, they allow only private IRC and you have to get prior permission to install/do that
Update:All orders till next week will get double bandwidth/data transfer on OpenVZ VPS so get you’ll 240GB on 100Mbit port. (pls log ticket to get the upgrade)
@A,
yes we do allow IRC for private use (should not be connected to public IRC network).
Running torrents client allowed? If yes, I’m in.
Would you please elaborate on what exactly defines a public and private IRC network? Are you saying that setting up a bnc to connect to, say, EFnet would be against the terms of use? Note that I’m not planning to go around taunting the script kiddys in hope of a DDoS. You probably won’t even hear a peep from me.
@Eon: Using my powers of clairvoyance, which seems to be a prerequisite for many VPS related purchases, I would say no. Although I faintly remember reading an offer by QuickWeb stating that they *do* allow torrents provided you are legally authorized to distribute the content, of course, so I could well be wrong! Just don’t expect to use all of the bandwidth listed on some of their TB+ packages.
@A please contact us directly to discuss your IRC requirement, we normally allow IRC subject to approval of use.
@Eon, we do allow torrent traffic, what we do not allow is transmission of copyrighted content using the medium.
@LEA – Again, all coments are listed at (1)
KLIKI — what browser and plugins are you using? Working here with IE/FF/Chrome.
@LowEndAdmin I have also sometimes experinced that all comments were marked with 1 :) Chrome/FF
@Asim “Even though I am on their Germany node” did you talk about your site asim.pk? Is that one hosted with quickweb?
@Omio Thanks for the interest. Their nodes are so good that I keep nagios running on these nodes and monitor all my other VPS and Servers. I do not host any website on this VPS.
ASIM.PK is hosted on one of the two dedicated servers I have with iweb.com (in Canada).
