They don’t have an AUP even though it is referred to in their “Legal” page.
Their AUP page seems to be up…
My billing account with them seems to have disappeared. I’ve contacted them but they haven’t replied yet (~25 hours ago), so hopefully the vps won’t expire, and hopefully they can get the billing account back up and going..
I’ve been waiting on a reply to email since Sept. 29th. The account setup was instant but it didn’t give me an ip address for the vps. I’m not sure anyone is reading email.
I received this email from them some hours ago:
“Hi,
I wanted to contact you all directly to let you know that we have acquired the assets and customers of RentaVPS.
I know some of you are currently experiencing issues with your service and others non-delivery of your service. We need to hear from you fast!
Please respond back to this email with the details of your order, the issue you are experiencing and any old ticket numbers that relate to the service.
We are going to do everything we can to complete any outstanding orders within the next 24 hours and deal with any issues you have at the same time.
We’ll be updating you as we progress this week.
Regards
Giles Anderson”
It’s on their website now. Any idea whom has acquired RentaVPS?
Edit: Looks like it’s Yomura Holding whom also bought Delimiter.us.
So I’m with them for about two months and I can’t complain. Everything seems to work fine, tickets are answered in about 10 minutes. You can give them a try.
Some news I found in my mailbox:
—————————————
“Hi,
We’ve been busy over the past month, RentaVPS has expanded to 8 datacentres:
* Miami
* Dallas
* Atlanta
* San Francisco
* San Jose
* Singapore
* London
* Frankfurt
Our Shared and VPS services are available at all locations as well as dedicated hosting in Atlanta and San Jose.
If you have a VPS requirement, make sure we’re your first call!
Regards
Giles”

“A quick update..
What a week! We finally completed our expansion into Toronto, Canada today – we are pleased to be able to offer both shared and VPS hosting there immediately. Since RentaVPS was acquired by Yomura, we have been trying to make RentaVPS services available from all of Yomura’s locations in North America, Europe and Asia.
If you need a VPS in Toronto, drop us an email – or if you can wait until next week we’ll have the products available directly from the client portal.
Have a great weekend
Regards
Giles”
Avoid this company!!!
I got two servers from them at two data centers. One has an issue probably with the kernel where you can not run iptables. Great, internet server without a firewall.
It has been 5 days now, yes 5 days, with no response via there support system. Six tickets, no response to any of them.
They boast on their web page that they answer support request in under 1 hour and actually fix the problem. I guess with their math, 5 days is still under the 1 hour mark.
More Updates.

## Pay Pal Warning
#######################
The scamming VPS companies like RentaVPS know that if you pay via paypal they don’t have to provide anything and if you make a claim with paypal, paypal will automatically deny your claim. I am talking instantly. I call in and found out this is true. Paypal “can’t” make a ruling of claims like this so it is instantly denied.
Stick with Mastercard or Visa as you have some protection and stay far away from RentaVPS.
Yes; stay away.
I had a VPS with them that started having network trouble in june. I opened several tickets without any response. It eventually expired (they made sure their billing worked), and I opened a ticket regarding getting a backup of my VPS since I couldn’t back it up when they were having network trouble. No response to any of these tickets, they closed them with no response. I re-opened all of my unanswered tickets multiple times trying to get some response at all, but they were actively closed with no response every time.
Their VPS just stopped working, and they had the most terrible customer service I have ever received.
