Audefy - $5.95 512MB Xen VPS in Seattle

Audefy Aaron from Audefy Technologies emailed me some special discount for their Xen VPS hosting service. Use promo code 15OFFVPS to get recurring 15% off discount. You can get their Xen VPS “Red” for $5.95/month after the discount. Here is the direct sign up link (you’ll see $7 when you click through, but $5.95 when you are in the cart).

  • 512MB memory/1024MB swap
  • 15GB storage
  • 300GB/month data transfer
  • Xen

PayPal is the only available payment method. Servers in Seattle WA. They seem to be catering for the gaming crowd who would purchase Xen VPS to run Runescape bots, as it’s under the OS selection dropdown. Domain has been registered for 2 years, but contact information hidden behind WHOIS privacy. Non-redundant NS. Since Xen hosting is not really visible on their website, their ToS does not really cover it either. Not much can be found on WHT although the offers were posted at DigitalPoint.

  1. Just be aware of this to make this work they have to have a server with over 100MB RAM per $1. Then the charge for IP’s and staffing and licensing fee’s for there SolusVM.

So we need to be aware of any other company which can beat prices of your LoveVPS?

      • No because realistically you have got to ask your self what your getting.

Minus $1 for the IP gives you $4.95 for the Ram and Raid 10 Storage which frankly even at Colo prices is impossible then the staffing fee’s on top of that.

Mine is of course $1.05 more expensive but this is irrelevant there is something that doesn’t add up here and that is quite alarming and should set alarm bells ringing.

    • There are quite a few Xen VPS providers offering 512MB at $5-$6 these days. Your $7/month 512MB Xen offer is not that much more expensive, isn’t it?

“Additional Dedicated IP – $1.50 USD Monthly
Provides a higher level of security and performance for your website(s).”

Hmm what…. performance, so if i allocate all private ipadresses i would never have to get a new server? ;)

We were trying to keep the description short and sweet. What you do get is ability for SSL etc, and obviously the IP will point back to your site. In terms of performance, lookups *may be slightly faster.

Fair point on the SSL part.
I was just trying to be funny on the performance part, think i failed =)

In regards to the thread for Audefy on HackForums, that was someone that works under the team just for advertising on HackForums. So the underage issue shouldn’t be a problem. Secondly, the name is registered here in Toronto for a business license so you can do the corresponding checks if you reside in Toronto. For more questions feel free to hit me up, support@audefy.com

    • Okay that’s one community that I am not familiar with, but what kind hosting provider would choose to post their offers at HackForums and DigitalPoint, rather than at WebHostingTalk?

That wasn’t our decision, that user is mainly doing it to resell and gain a little profit on the side. As per Digitalpoint, many hosts post there. For WHT, we will be posting soon but right now are quite busy. Our posts will show up shortly on WHM.

The VPS plans just recently rolled out, which is why it wasn’t listed on our website’s Hosting page. Now that the page is completed, with the layout etc we’ve added it to the ‘Services’ page (previously the ‘Hosting’ page).

Like aroel mentioned above, we are out of stock once again. Most orders seem to be referred from this website too.

When we get more stock we’ll notify you guys here. An estimate we can look at is perhaps a few days leading maybe up to a week.

All Xen VPS products have been disable for future orders until more stock arrives.

Also, the 15% discount has ended. But we’re running a 10% promotion now. Code: 10OFFVPS .
