FlipperHost FlipperHost emailed me that they have some new plans available since last time we posted about them. No longer is the $3/month plan available. Instead it gets replaced with a $3.95/month plan with more disk and data transfer. Or their “Standard” plan for $4.95/month (direct sign up link) that includes some burstable memory.

Servers with HostDime in Orlando FL (test IP: FlipperHost is based in Turkey with an office in Indiana. Domain registered in December 2009, and both NS on the same server (no redundancy fail). Besides English and Turkish, they are also doing Chinese online support.

      • We just had to get our prices and specs redone and needed time for it and we had told that we would be back in a month of the incident. We just wanted to do the things in a right way instead of rapidly growing in a way which would be unsustainable.

      • You can easily see that next to the header it says (Last Notice) so you do know that there were previous notices about it but you just wanna show it different somehow for a reason I wouldn’t be able to guess.

      • It is not nice to call people names as “pathetic” and “idiot”, I understand you developed a kind of a hatred towards us and I wish I could change it somehow but there is one fact in this and that is you are twisting and denying the previous emails which we can prove that we have sent out (including to you), although even if we had not sent the previous ones your case would still be dismissed as even 5 days ahead is enough for any customer to prepare their data or ask for a refund or ask us to move them to another provider, simply 5 days are enough for securing your data. But as for the reason you trying to argue here you have definately recieved more than 1 email in last 15 days of March Period, as we can always prove it.

        • Not sure what you mean by that statement but I would think that at least someone would have come by to point out that they had received that email. Whenever a host goes down or hiccups, folks make comments about it normally.

          If your comment is directed to me, what I was saying is fairly simple. Where are the folks complaining? There should have been folks complaining. Usually there’s folks complaining. Heck, there’s always folks complaining when a host has issues.

  5. Let me clear this up,

    First of all the content of the e-mail is right but the story is twisted somehow.

    It is completely false that we sent out the discontinuation e-mails only 5 days before but rather to Francisco (Actually to all of our customers on that server at the time) we have sent the e-mails on 15th than 21st than 26th of March (the exact same e-mail).

    Also refunded all customers that paid (including yearly payments) after the 9th of March in full.

    We are an established company though March was the time that we offered VPS s for the first time ever. We had made our calculations and when we began getting yearly orders we thought those prices were unsustainable and decided to refund payments and come back with better specs but also with about 10%-20 raised prices.

    To prove that we have sent our customers and Francisco more than 1 e-mail in 15 days period of time we would like to invite the Lowendbox admin to view our WHMCS and see the dates and e-mails sent to our clients as well as we are ok with the idea to show proof of refunds.

    We do not see how we did bad by letting our customers know that we were shutting down a server and I am surprised how Francisco wrote those comments in a style as if we had runaway with his money and data as if we took some money and dissapeared.

    Francisco paid us $3 on the 6th of March and we had not refund him as we had only began selling on 3d of March so we did not think he deserved a refund as we still let him use the VPS till the end of March, although we would never say no if had he come to our livechat and asked for it.

    On top of all after refunding the VPS clients we also offered free hosting services to all of those VPS customers untill we would turn back with better VPS services to show our regret. As I said before we are an established company and we are here to stay. The exact same e-mail could be shown to prove our honesty (although it happened to get us a bad review somehow). In no way can we have an intention to harm anyone.

    so let me get this straight, FlipperHost discontinued VPS (from the email Fran posted and which was also confirmed to be true … there is no hint in XYZ package or something … it says the discontinuation of VPS service) … and later FlipperHost changed their mind to continue VPS services?

    Its a bit twisted so can Ceko confirm this?

    • The incident happened in March yes. (But to clear the doubt in your head we have refunded all customers except 4 people all bought in first 3 days whom bought the 3 dollar budget VPS (1 of them came to our livechat and asked for a refund at the end of the month and we refunded him immediately too although including the refunded customers we have let all use the VPS services for free till the end of the March and than offered them free hosting services till we would get our VPS specs and prices redone).

      Actually it was a wrong desicion on our side to temporarily stop selling VPS in March and I believe the way we wrote the notifications made us look like as if we were taking VPS services out of our product scale and site but still had we ever changed anything except making the prices about 15% higher as well as adding double size of Bursted Ram.

      • I do not get your point Francisco.

        I understand you post the previous offer and the new one so people can compare the difference when I compare what I see is 150% increase in space as well as 20% increase in badwidth and about 15% of increase in price of our basic plan. Just as I explained.

        Should we see anything else? The mail is already what we saw at the top.

          if you look at the 6th post from the top on this thread (the post right before the e-mail) you will see that before WHT I had given that offer to Low End Box Readers I believe I wrote it on Low End Box just about 30 minutes before I posted on WHT.

    Thank you again for Mr.Ceko for your VPS service. Also i was a one of customer from last March. The Flipper Host installed kloxo for me and helped with using for my first VPS. They refunded to me in full my 3 months payment on 16th of March and continue helping me with everything that. I did not know how to use and I insisted 4 times to change my vps and give me a new one because I wanted to make my setting from the beginnig and flipper host people answer me very polite and never said no to me. Now I see they bring back vps, thank you ,i gonna buy again now.

    • We had an abuser on server fh1 using sipvicious for hacking plus had a constant ddoss attack for about 5 hours and now it seems all issues has been solved.

      As a result of these only had to restart the server 2 times and we succeeded keeping the server up and alive.
