    • Docker is not supported though I have already asked our techs to research and enable on all possible nodes. Hopefully with next offer it maybe possible.

I recommend Flipperhost, they take timeouts seriously. At first I had a couple of timeouts (every or every second week or so) but after a raised ticket I got the response that the abuser on the same node was suspended and since then the VPS has been 100% smooth. Thank you!

Do you have trial period? if yes, how many days?

        April 4, 2017 @ 5:32 pm | Reply
        • There is no Trial period that we set as a policy though any cancellation requests in first 3 days are entitled to a full refund and from 4th day to 7th day 50% refund and no refunds for cancellations after 7 days.

Important to note though. If the service was interrupted by us for any abuse or crime related causes then no refunds granted. We do unsuspend once the abuse related cause/action is promised to be deleted from the server or ceased at the server.

To make it clear, Ddossing, spamming, copyright infringement, child porn, promoting terrorism, pishing and abusing resources are the main reasons of suspension.

  5. Beware of flipperhost’s limitation of “1500 concurrent connections at most per VPS” – a quote from their support when my vps was suspended.

    April 4, 2017 @ 1:32 pm | Reply
    • Thank you for your feedback.

We do have nodewatch running on all nodes and concurrent smtp connections are limited to stop spammers and concurrent connections are limited to stop incoming and outgoing Ddoss. Though that limit has been raised to 2.000 just for the concurrent connections. For the smtp it is simply 800 concurrent connections so that we can catch spammers automatically.

Just as a side note. I am not sure How much was your concurrent connections at the time of suspension as it could be 1.501 or also could be 8.000+ but I would like everyone to be informed that the node itself has a limit where most vps s would start functioning abnormally sending and receiving traffic I would say 15.000 + Then once these concurrent connections passes 25-30 K I assure you that the node would fail in connections and including you any client within same node would complain and suffer.

We have rules to assure all vps s run smoothly without abusing so that clients would be satisfied for the money they pay. There could be arrangements for temporary allowences to upper limits at these connections though it shall not lead to an abuse situation where everyone is unhappy.

    • Some guy on the internet:

I’m more curious as to how you had more than 1500 concurrent connections on a VPS>

      April 14, 2017 @ 3:11 am | Reply
      • We were using it for server monitoring and whenever flipper’s network hiccuped, connections hung open while trying to create new ones. They would eventually time out and clear but apparently not before flipper’s scripts would shut us down.

        April 14, 2017 @ 3:24 am | Reply
        • Hello Shawn,

Nodewatch separates un replied / hung connections from concurrent connections and those are limited separately with a different set of value usually same value limitation but judged separately by nodewatch. So in this case at that time you must have either hung connections alone pass 1500 concurrent connections or even both. What I mean is if you had 1100 concurrent connections and 1050 hung concurrent connections the suspension would not occur at that time.

Again as I have announced in the beginning we had raised the concurrent connection limits to 2000, we have now raised concurrent connections limits to 4000 on nodewatch after we have enabled VEST Ddos protection for all vps containers.

I tried them 2 times and left.

Ceko is a great guy with very good support. But the disk i/o sucks(random load spikes are common and your vm starts crawling). It will be best if they start offering atleast ssd cached service or sas.

    • Thank you for the feedback. Though I am really sorry for your experience. I am not sure on which date you were a client though we now utilize mostly 8 x harddisks for better I/O and I will be showing this comment of yours to our technicians to see what more can be done for a much better I/O result.

After all as you tried us 2 times and left just because of the I/O I would love to see you back at us and let us know more about the I/O issue you face. Shall you decide to give it a try first month will be on the house for any plan you choose so no risks involved as no payments needed.

    • Hello Thomas,

In most cases it is possible but we need to make sure that your requested iso is compatible with standards and safe. That said best is to simply register (registration does not require any credit cards nor payments) Then open a ticket with details of the ISO upload request. We will review your request within a short time.

    • Although we are Dubai based the servers are within USA. More over we have physical companies in multiple countries still the vps nodes are within USA and we comply fully with the US law. That said if anyone gets a DMCA notice, they will need to confront or comply with it within 24 hours.

Hi just a newbie question, if I get the Flipper 3 which I assume is a Linux based VPS, will I be able to run a Windows VM inside it using a software like KVM? Sorry Im still quite confused with how virtualization works

    April 25, 2017 @ 4:57 am | Reply
    • Hello Abaddon,

Thank you for your question. Actually These plans offered are OpenVZ Virtualized Linux VPS s and KVM is not a software rather it is another virtualization type. If you want to utilize windows, these OpenVZ plans are not an option for you though if you do get registered with us you can get any windows KVM VPS plan at 50% discount, just open a ticket and we will take care of it.

Please re-stock ASAP, and what’s your VPS CPU Usages policy?

    April 26, 2017 @ 2:53 pm | Reply
    • Hello Wong,

Thank you for your question which is wondered about lots of clients I believe. Let me briefly explain as below.

There are lots of factors effecting load though to simplfy at a smoothly managed openVZ node 1.00 load is what we seek per container which we see it acceptable upto 2.00 Load once 2.00 load is passed we start monitoring without taking any action upto 4.00 Load and once 4.00 load is passed we open an abuse ticket and request to tweak script, website, software to optimize it and to reduce the load of the container back to at least under 4.00 otherwise we see any vps remain over 4.00 let’s say 6.00 or 17.00 as an abusing vps.

As a sidenote although not directly you but rather by the opportunity to clear another point I would like to inform that there are many who are misinformed and assume that 1.00 load = 1% of the CPU which is totally false info and irrelevant.

Lastly, We have enabled more stocks for all of the promotional plans offered here.

I previously used another VPS, which all my emails from that VPS’s IP address are considered spam by Gmail. Will you guarantee my emails from FlipperHost will not be considered spam by Gmail? I just use regular email, not for spamming of course.

    Thank you

    May 8, 2017 @ 2:41 pm | Reply
    • Hello Hermanto,

      Thank you for your question.

The ips are automatically assigned by our system so before you get an IP and use it we can not know if its blocked at gmail or not so there is no guarantees about that though what we can guarantee is if you get a blocked IP we will change it with a clean IP. This also does not guarantee that gmail in the future blocks your IP or not as it all depends on if gmail considers your emails as spam or not.
