Go-VPS-Go – $7 320MB Xen VPS in Los Angeles

Tags: , , Date/Time: May 21, 2011 @ 1:26 am, by LowEndAdmin

Go-VPS-Go Terii from Go-VPS-Go emailed me that they are now opening for Los Angeles using WebNX (test IP: 173.231.39.92). They are offering a special promo for the LowEndBox community — $7/month Xen VPS using this sign up link + promo code LAPROMO30. You’ll get

  • 320MB memory/256MB swap
  • 12GB storage
  • 150GB/month data transfer on 100Mbps
  • Xen/SolusVM

Go-VPS-Go was bootstrapped in February this year by Terii who is based in Austin, although clicking on “Meet The Team” on their home page reveals this guy “Lorem ipsum” taking up all 3 roles :) The previous $7/month 512MB Xen VPS in Scranton offer is still available for those prefer US East-coast. Their ToS/AUP can be found here.

The original owner of LowEndBox known as "LowEndAdmin" or "LEA" for short founded LowEndBox in 2008 and created the concept of hosting applications on low resource "Low End Boxes". After creating the roots of the community that we know today, "LEA" stepped aside and allowed others to carry the torch forward.

  2. LEB,

Thanks for pointing it out. Weird, but somehow we had old homepage revision copied back onto the active webserver. It’s fixed. :)

None of this is serious but just to let you know, a couple of links issues here. Clicking the logo (which I tend to do to go ‘home’) goes to not found (http://www.govpsgo.com/index.html). Also in this post LEA has a link to http://www.go-vps-go.com/ in the first sentence. Less importantly, dunno why I clicked on the Twitter feed link but that also was not found.

I brought that template a few months ago from ThemeForest but never used it. But I modified it and merged the page slider in with the plans tables, so you could scroll across the plans. I can give you the code if you want, as you’ve already brought it.

          Glad it helped out!

          @Daniel
Yea… GoDaddy is not my first of choice. I only register through them when they have deals, I usually transfer over to NameCheap after first year.

    • Adam:

Could be pro-rated thats why you get the $0.65 for this month and $10 for the next month.

Did you use the promo code? LAPROMO30

      May 30, 2011 @ 11:28 am | Reply
    • Use the link in the post, after hitting “Checkout” and you’ll see the price gets reduced to $7 recurring.

    • Hi Jim,

We pro-rate billing just like Adam said.

When you get to second page (after hitting ‘Checkout’), scroll down a bit and you should be able to enter promotion code.

well on the checkout page it says now

        Subtotal: $10.65 USD
        30% Recurring Discount: $3.20 USD
        Total Due Today: $7.46 USD
        Total Recurring: $7.00 USD Monthly

        • Hi Jim,

This included the last two days of May and whole month of June. Your next billing is due on 7-1-2011. Sorry for the pro-rated confusion.
