  1. Did the Windows 2008 license included or just trial?

    August 20, 2014 @ 2:30 am
    • Yes we can license the server just put in a ticket and we will get it done.

If Ubuntu 14.04 is available, why is not a default setup option? You do not offer refunds so you can see how one may be skeptical.

Would also like to know if the Windows license is included in the price or just a trial version.

Also, I can’t get the promo code to work for the Windows package, I get the following error…

Newest build of Ubuntu they offer is Ubuntu 12.10 — ouch.

    That’s not a good sign.

Yet another host full of incompetent support staff that can’t even read tickets, and an owner that, well, follows suit.
Signed up for things 7 days ago as a quick fix
    Problem 1:
Opened ticket with IP’s and RDNS needing to be setup. 4 IPs, 4 RDNS records
The first staff that did this stated it was done
24h later, turns out that 3/4 were done. Had to follow up there. This from a “Technical Support Supervisor”. Clearly, he was unable to actually read the tech support ticket, or handle one of the most simple tasks in it

    Problem 2:
There was an issue with Tun/Tap, which amazingly the first tech handled correctly and quickly

    Problem 3:
These people are on so many spam lists that it’s not even funny. Opened up a ticket to have it resolved? Right out of the gate, Ernie himself said they don’t allow IP swaps… Even though I NEVER asked for one. Talk about not reading your own tickets much…. THEN, I’m told an individual removal request was issued. Again, not exactly the most competent reply, since this is a network issue (as in entire networks on spews/spamhaus because the owner won’t actually address their problem).. FINALLY, 3rd response says they are passing the issue to their upstream. Ya, I expect really good news there, right

    Problem 4:
A simple fix (host node time is set incorrectly) has now been 5 hours.
Person 1 says they’re looking at it, then wants to know what timezone to set things to (errm, I don’t care, just fix the node time)
Person 2, insists the same, despite being told in replly that the timezone doesn’t matter, they just need to fix the host time
Person 2 then comes back and says they did so… ON THE WRONG SERVER

I swear, this is comedy gold here, really. Ticket is opened up for X server, support “fixes” things on Y server/node, doesn’t bother reading through tickets, owner has no clue what he’s doing. Talk about a comedic mess. I’d hate to see what happened if I gave them any REAL problems
