Kickstarter - The Results and prizes for some voters!

After several weeks of waiting (and voting) the results of the second LowEndBox Kickstarter Competition are finally here! The grand prize, worth $1500 in hardware rentals, software rentals, consulting and various other items, is now going to be awarded to one of the contestants.

I would personally like to thank you all for voting, also on behalf of ColoCrossing (the owner of LowEndBox and the provider of the prize). This year we have a winner that was chosen by the community and I hope he, with his new business, is going to give back to the community that voted for him.

Click ‘Read more’ to find out the winner! Sorry, couldn’t resist this little cliff-hanger ;-)

Congrats for your six month free dedi. But I am not sure if after the six months- the business would be sustainable- how much is it $150 or $200 per month rental to colo crossing?

Sounds like a trap to me. Just my honest opinion.

I fail to see how this would be trap.

Everything around this kickstarter contest base on business plan including all known (and hopefully considering also some unknown) factors and business won’t be sustainable only if it’s poorly planned and even more poorly executed.
Price of server rental after 6 months is clearly stated in Kickstarter competition terms including possibility to enter to own agreement with DC. If I would go into hosting business personally I wouldn’t even depend from one donated server. It would help me to start for sure but I wouldn’t concentrate whole future around one and only machine.

Cogratulations Derek and voters who also won prizes.
