Matt, from LoveVPS, sent in an offer last month with SSD storage on one of their exclusive Orlando based KVM packages located in the DimeNoc (HostDime) DC.
SSD KVM 512MB – Orlando
|
LoveVPS, who have been in business since 2011, have been featured a total of 10 times here and seem to be continuing their trend of 512MB VPS’s and staying away from the ‘ram race’ but instead venturing into the SSD based storage and KVM markets. The nodes for this offer are E3-1230’s with 32GB RAM and 4x 512GB SSDs in RAID 10 with LSI MegaRAID (w/BBU) on 1Gbit ports. What’s also interesting is that they claim on their website to “under load” their nodes as opposed to “overcrowding” their nodes. They provide free NodePing monitoring with each VPS and also have 24/7 support according to their website. Overall reviews have been positive for example these reviews at WHT or this rather brief review at LET. As always do leave your experiences below in the comments.
LoveVPS accept payments made via PayPal only, and have a refund policy where cancelled services are not refund however if it was a double payment or anything where the client is not at fault they will provide refunds, pro-rata refunds are issued with payments longer than a month. IRC is among the prohibited items on these VPS’s. Their AUP is viewable here and TOS here.
Matt has provided some benchmarks which will be posted in the comments for those interested.

What’s the relationship between the two sites ?DimeNoc HostDime
Hello,
DimeNoc is the name of HostDime’s DC in Orlando, Florida.
Hello,
First of all I would just like to add something to the above, these VPSs all include free monitoring from NodePing (See more here: http://www.lovevps.com/blog/). Secondly IPv6 is available from the 3rd July, we are busy rolling this out across all our nodes at the moment hence the delay.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us via here or by our website.
Thanks.
Did you mean July 3rd 2014?
Hello,
Sorry I meant 3rd of August. We started rolling out IPv6 on the 3rd of July.
So you are saying HostDime has finally offered IPv6? or did I got it wrong?
HostDime has offered IPv6 for a while now. Just not officially.
Loving the new site, good work guys
lovely

Where is it?
UnixBench (w/ all processors) 4678.9
UnixBench (w/ one processor) 1932.1
Sorry, totally forgot about it. Matt has posted it here now. ;-)
Can I get multiple /64s? I don’t get why you only hands out /128s….
Hello,
Send us a sales email (http://www.lovevps.com/contactus/), and I will see what we can do.
Just Asking?
How much load do yourll have on your cpu ?
FYSA Folks:
I just canceled my service with LoveVPS due to unresponsiveness to my tickets. I requested two things; an extra IPv4 address, and to be invoiced for one year of service. The tickets stayed open for more than 24-hours. Not to mention that MaxMind caused issues with getting access to my account even after payment had been made satisfactory, I can help it if our office uses a Proxy/Firewall.
Respectfully
Brendan
Hello,
Can you grab me the ticket IDs please, in the last 48 hours someone has flooded our sales department with lovely spam, we are working our way through it. We have stopped the flood, but we still have a large backlog to work through in between Technical Support and Abuse (which are a higher priority).
If its tech support our response times are still under 15 minutes for today, so let me know and I will have a look, either Rob or I will get back to you.
If its sales, we will get back to you as soon as we possibly can.
Apologies.
Matthew,
Ticket #140964.

I am going home for the weekend. If you fix the problems and have the invoice in my inbox Monday, I will go ahead and buy another 11 months. I don’t need anything other then the two items requested (11 months of service invoiced & extra IPv4 address).
Have a good weekend
Brendan
Well LEB community,
I never heard anything back from LoveVPS. I would say you need to understand that they provide you with a VPS; but that is it. As far as support for configuration changes and billing support, they are lacking. If your needs are very simple, then you are good-to-go; if not look down at Miami or up to Atlanta.
Their network speed was never an issue, neither was the system over head on the KVM-VPS. Re-installing the OS was not an issue either, and was quite fast.
Thank you
Brendan
