LEA (LowEndAdmin) is the original founder of LowEndBox and the visionary who gave rise to an entire movement around minimalist, efficient hosting. In 2008, LEA launched LowEndBox with a simple but powerful idea: that it was possible to run meaningful applications, web servers, VPNs, mail servers, and more – on small, low-cost virtual machines with minimal resources.
At a time when most infrastructure discussions were dominated by high-end servers and enterprise platforms, LEA championed the opposite approach: lightweight Linux distros, self-managed servers, open source software, and thoughtful optimization. This philosophy gave birth to the term “Low End Box”, which would come to define a new genre of hosting tailored to developers, tinkerers, and budget-conscious users around the world.
Through LowEndBox and its companion forum, LowEndTalk, LEA built the foundation for what would become one of the most active and enduring communities in the hosting world, prioritizing knowledge-sharing, transparency, and accessibility.
After several years of nurturing the site and community, LEA stepped away from active involvement, passing the torch to a new generation of admins, contributors, and moderators. Today, LEA remains a respected figure in the LowEnd ecosystem, credited with launching a platform and philosophy that continues to influence thousands of infrastructure providers and users globally.
LowEndBox’s legacy, and its thriving community, is a direct result of LEA’s original vision.

Use the slider on the homepage, you slide it to the left or right to display packages and click order now when its on the package you want.
I’d order this if the 6.95 package was available in Fremont, make it happen!
i won’t buy it either,
since it is not located in CA,
Chicago is to far from Asia.
This offer was intended to work with our Fremont, CA datacenter location. The order form has since been fixed for any of you that wish to order for this location.
Only 5GB space…
What’s the matter..5GB isn’t enough for you to run rapidleech? :-(
I was with NeoSurge for a couple months, and while they were much better than a lot of VPS providers, they had some major flaws. Mainly in customer service. For instance, I had a ticket open requesting a PTR be set, because the control panel software failed to set it for whatever reason. No reply for weeks. Then I submitted a 2nd ticket, and they replied almost immediately telling me that creating duplicate tickets WASTES THEIR TIME. I was like excuse me? How about instead of wasting both our time with a response that DIDN’T ADDRESS THE ISSUE, they take a step back and realize “Hey we haven’t so much as responded in over a week.” The PTR ended up being assigned weeks later. But worse than that, my account with them ended up being TERMINATED because some efnet troll emailed them saying I was “spamming” — yea right, sendmail/postfix wasn’t even configured. Now I’m sure this doesn’t happen to everyone, and in terms of box performance / line speed, they were a decent host. But BEWARE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE NIGHTMARES. When they terminated my account they held my backup/data hostage too, it took months of back and forth emails, and threats of litigation to finally get my data. I am now with “Encept” and very happy with the service there.
This customer was selling illegal mushroom spores through his forums and IRC channels. We were forced to terminate the account by request of our network providers. His TOS violations were not acceptable.
Neosurge VPS, please respond to the rest of the complaint. I and many others here find very poor customer service to be unacceptable.
We had a temporary issue deploying new PTR records that caused this problem for him. We’ve been in business since 2002 and have a large number of extremely satisfied customers. Customers who run or engage in illegal activities are not allowed. He was indeed spamming his website and services and our networking provider requested that we end relations with the customer. He was given warnings and the account had over 24 hours before the termination happened, there was no holding data “hostage”. It was only when he failed to backup his data that it took us a bit to create a backup for him.
HA, laughable claims and allegations. I am going to be contacting my lawyer in regards to DEFAMATION AND LIBEL. Good day sir
This ladies and gentlemen is known as an AD HOMINEM. Don’t be fooled. He admits plainly that the aforementioned customer service problems took place. These are not false claims. I do not deny that they provide a decent VPS. And it provisioned instantly. I was impressed initially, but as our relationship continued, it became more and more bitter. I am willing to forward the emails exchanged post-termination, where you can see clearly, there was no attempt to contact me in regards to any violation of services, just got the axe, so to speak. If interested, you may contact me re: neosurge at justincapella at gmail dot com
I registered a vps yesterday with Neosurge. They send me an email telling me my server’s ip and its SSH pass word and the solusVM log in information. Then I found that my VPS is not pingable. But the SolusVM console worked pretty well. So I just send them a ticket but get no response until now. I want to know that if someone knows how to deal with this?
By the way I can’t even ping my Gateway with the console from my vps. But I can ping the Gateway with my own laptop.
One thing is that I found their email first in my gmail’s spam folder.I started to worry about my choice.
