Nixcom - CAD$2.99 256MB OpenVZ VPS

Updated October 2011: Martin from Nixcom has decided to terminate the service. See this comment and replied comments for discussions.

Nixcom After previous success with their Xen VPS offer, Martin from Nix Communications has giving us some more interesting offers — OpenVZ this time in Chicago (SingleHop). The same package is also available on WHT. For CAD$2.99/month (USD$2.90) you can get the following VPS (direct order link).

  • 256MB guaranteed/512MB burstable memory
  • 10GB storage
  • 500GB/month data transfer
  • OpenVZ/SolusVM

You can also request to have the node set up in Montreal, Canada. Well done for the Canadians (I think Francisco from BuyVM of previous offer is also a Canadian)!

    Is thats not true that SingleHop offer 2/3 months free with their dedicated server? Is nixcom implement this idea?

    Anyway, more important thing is – Those are outofstock…! Thanks.

    @Amaresh OOS? xD

    Im with Nixcom from less than 24 hours and all I can say is that the network speed is very very good!
    I hope they will add some new OS template like CentOS/Debian 32/64bit minimal (no apache, sendmail etc…) a must-have :)

    Some abuse on the node. Clients has been suspended. It was taking 99% of cpu usage of entire node non-stop. Now issue seems to be fix. The node isn’t loading anymore. Plenty of good resources for all users :)
