Salvatore from Prometeus has a special plan running for LEB which is not listed on the site and hence no promo code is required. Prometeus lists all prices in Euro on their site and below US dollar prices are converted using the exchagne rate at xe.com

Prometeus has added a new line of OpenVZ VPS with pure SSD storage on Samsung 830 and Intel 520 nodes. At the time of publishing this Prometeus is also leading the Q3 LowEndTalk poll for the best provider as voted by the community. Payment is accepted via Paypal, VAT is applicable if you reside in the EU and don’t have a valid VAT ID. Prometeus was last featured on LowEndBox back in July.
Salvatore has informed us that they have 5 racks colocated in the largest campus/internet exchange of Italy. “We are LIR (RIPE NCC member) and do BGP with our Autonomous System Number (AS34971) and a total bandwidth capacity of 10Gb.”

juicy offers, uncle is the best!
Best VPS you can buy in Europe at any price.
Thank you for listing us, and thaks guy for the kindly words :P
Best provider I ever seen. I tried a lot of them in years, but I never thought I will get the best performance and stability with a cheap provider (as Prometeus)! The support always fast as possible and everytime very friendly and helpfull!
I very recommend this company to everyone it worth a try! :-)
Let see, do I need another vps? :|
of course… these are SSDs. if you don’t need one, you can migrate from your non-SSD VPS to these
I see this promo on WHT yesterday. :p
Link ? or you mean the KVM ?
M
Yes, the SSD KVM.
I also tried tons of providers and hundreds of plans in many years, but none had so much bw at such a low price and such a high reliability !
I am a customer since the middle of march and never needed another VPS (but I continue to test them, get crazy deals, etc, in other locations)
It is not perfect, of course, but neither the highly priced hosts are, in fact Prometeus performs better than most “over LEB prices” providers that I know. Not to mention the smugness of “we dont want no romanian thieves” of those “big” hosts and the “your plan is not managed, go fuck off” replies at tickets…
Prometeus is the proof there can be an excellent service at excellent prices, supported by dedicated people that like what they are doing.
One thing that I would like is having more locations, hope one day to see that.
M
early this year i was skeptic because of the awesome deals. but now am fully convinced. excellent in all aspects: hardware, bandwidth, support, and most specially UPTIME!
Prometeus delivers nothing less than pure awesomeness. I never have any issues with any of the 5 hosted VMs with them.
@Asim Can you please check and post the ping times from pak.
I am planning to host a site targeted at Pakistani audience on one of their VMs.
ON transworld im getting 230ms, on PTCL 177ms. The rest of the wimax world is inbetween
That seems good enough for me.
Thanks for posting.
Maybe someone could post the dd test?
My current VZ5 is stable, but compared to the VZ3, it’s a little slower :)
So, if this KVM/SSD is faster than them, maybe I will replace them.
SSD does not work miracles in the DD test and frankly that is irrelevant for most imaginable activities on a VPS. ioping will be the big winner and that shows the real performance databases and other apps that need fast storage will have.
M
I’m not sure that’s correct, there have been some pretty high DD results, over 800mb/s + posted on let and wht.
why do DD test? What’s the purpose?
Only stupid people do this to clog up others.
dd test is not appropriate
Well, maybe someone could post something that this is faster than my current VZ3 (PM24) /VZ5 (PM14) ?
I can highly recommend Prometeus. I’m 2x times their client (different VPSs for different projects) and I’m still very satisfied. Crazy speeds, 100% uptime (in my cases) and extremely friendly support. A+
So I decided to buy the KVM VPS :)
It’s indeed faster than my VZ5. And I believe Mr. Salvator won’t disappoint me ;D
Thank you very much
I’ll buy 1 too. To backup RamNode vps. :p
SSD for backup?
Hehehe… why not :p
maybe he meant failover
I’ve been a customer since February with a few VPS’s, and I’m yet to experience any issues. Never had problems with slow disk, net, etc. The uptime is really good, currently at 242 days on my 128MB Xen VPS :D
Will definitely buy more VPS’s from Prometeus in the future. :)
Very good offer from awesome provider :)
Very good service and support. Have 4 VMs from the last offer and they are very good.
For a comparison of their support quality:
I requested an ip change on my VM for personal reasons and got a reply with the new ip in 5 mins.
Made a similar request to another reputed LEB provider, with whom I had 5 VMs, and got a reply after a reminder. And the reply almost meant f*** off.
My suggestion: go with them.
is your SSD on a RAID array ? I’m looking for a VPS plan, but would prefer that the SSD storage be on RAID (like RamNode)
It’s software RAID 1.
Which location do you suggest if I am from China or Asia?
Prometeus is only in Italy atm.
I’m from Indonesia, and my blog is using them :)
KVMSSD5 ,it’s a very valueable vps !

Just a heads up, KVM SSD offer is out of stock.
M
you should check again !
Snappy servers, Good RTT throughout, Quick acivation and a decent TOS. Highly recommended.
After more then a week with them on the KVMSSD5 Promo. i have only one word : Amazing VPS Provider !!!
This vps is much faster then all other LEB providers that i ordered in the past. The I/O SSD speed is amazing and also the internet connection speed is really fast. and you can also install the OS you choose from ISO on a mounted CD-ROM.
Support is really high level class. (i needed some help setting up the KVM VPS OS from the mounted CDROM ISO and they give me all instructions needed and resolved the issue with very fast response.) Thank you Salvatore and John for helping me !
sometimes in LEB vps providers they don’t relly have support, but in “Prometeus” they don’t just answer your ticket, They Really Help you to resolve your issue in the ticket. i’m sure in the Future when i will need another Fast VPS in Italy i will order another one from “Prometeus”. they are an A+++++ Provider.
Thank you very much “Prometeus” ! and keep up with this wonderful service.
Tommy
Signed up for the KVMSSD5 plan based on all the positive feedback. We’ll see how it goes.
