Running out of time... and I am taking a break

Just a quick note on what will be happening over the next couple of days.

  • I am running out of time. Apology to all the providers who have emailed me their Christmas specials (and in some cases, just repeats of their previous offers), and sorry I won’t be able to fulfil all your requests. I haven’t even really started on my “Dead Pool November 2011” post yet (although there were some discussions on last month’s dead pool list at LowEndTalk.com).
  • I am also taking a break, and will take my family on a road trip for a few days. 350km drive tomorrow and there are still lots to be packed. There won’t be new blog posts here either, but feel free to continue the discussion at the LowEndTalk site.

    ^^ I think that Involves me, But the problem was last time that my actual offer didn’t get listed the “paypal fee” made it go past $7.00 but scrap that offer, Sales have come up with a new marketing plan and a new promo so that’l be upcoming.

        • i don’t want to start an argument your service was up for renewal maybe a week or so when you cancelled so it is the same as not renewing for me… accusing me of lying is absurd! I checked the record and your renewal date was 12/06/2011 you canceled 11/25. I’m just making it clear that your site is not available due to this and not because we have server issues or what not.

          Anyway let’s just say we do not fit each other well and movign separate ways was best for both parties! I hope you all the best in finding another host that will fit your needs.

Instead you did start an argument with me. That’s what I linked to. I gave my review, you gave me a hassle and I cancelled my service with your company.

          Since you keep arguing with me, I’ll be happy to take this up with your company’s ownership. This is now bordering on harassment.

          I did not renew my subscription with your company. I cancelled it due to poor continued service that has continued past the cancellation. To say otherwise is incorrect. You’re trying to spin this and I won’t let you. Please kindly have some ethics.

          I’ll be happy to drop this Roel like I wanted to. Please admit that tickets were dropped, you tried to bribe me and admit that I cancelled my service with your company. Please stop the poor attempt at spin.

        • now obviously, if you cancel your account you cannot login to our system any more including the ticket system as your account was already closed as part of the cancellation process, all who operate WHMCS knows it and there’s nothing wrong with it and not any where what you are trying to imply.

        Roel, do you even remember what happened? You dropped the ball on support. I pointed out that tickets were going unanswered and you tried to bribe me. I cancelled my service with you because of those problems.

        If you folks had resolved the outstanding support and billing issues, I would have stayed with your company. Instead you insulted me in public and then lied about it.

        Roel, do you remember any of that?

        I could have sworn that the renewal date was in December as well and I cancelled before that date but I don’t have the information in front of me.

          Does offering a client something like a small freebie to a client because he felt he is not happy with the service bribery or doing client something to make him happy or what not? you’re the one who started this by dropping our name out of nowhere read your original post again!

          I’m just telling the other side of the coin and only the truth! if you felt you were given bad service because we did not done enough to satisfy you that is totally acceptable you have the right to leave just like what you did so please do not tell lies and move on.

          Stop emailing me with your threats(now don’t call this lie i have proof!) if there’s anyone who is unreasonable here it is you and some people here knows it.

          contact me so I may register a formal complaint about your actions.

          You could have handled this so much better Roel. Instead you choose

          This is the email I sent to support@ that has gone unanswered:


          Please have a member of the ownership contact me. I am being harassed
          publicly by a staff member and I would like to discuss this matter
          with them.

          It would also be nice if my support account not have been deleted so I
          could have done this via a ticket.


          As folks can see, there is no threat contained in it. Also Roel asked me to email him and I did so. He has not responded as of this time.

          This is the subject line of the email I received from Quickweb that Roel says in a “I didn’t renew” notice:

          Cancellation Request Confirmation

          This is the first line from said email:

          This email is to confirm that we have received your cancellation request for the service listed below. We are sad to see you go do not hesitate to contact us and we are happy to give you a better deal.

          Not sure why Roel thinks this is a “I didn’t renew” request. If that was true, I’m sure the emails would have said so and/or they would have been edited to say so.

          So I guess management and/or ownership does not follow up on complaints about bad service.

          All I did was leave a review about random reboots and tickets going unanswered. I have done so in a polite manner and have received the above. I know put these folks at the same level as YardVPS. They have some of the worse customer service that I have ever seen and I feel all folks should stay away from the.

          Roel, I asked for your management to contact so I may discuss this manner. I was more than willing to do so privately but you and they have refused to do so. Again, this could have been handled in a much more professional manner.

          Again, please have your employer contact me.

    The issue about help has been discussed on lowendtalk.com. He does not want or feel this site(nor his others) need to become like WHT(or other web hosting sites). Bringing it up a million times will not change his mind. We should respect his decision and be thankful for him providing as much as he does.

    It takes a lot of time and effort from him to bring this to us all and if he needs/wants a break I can respect that. I can also respect the fact that he does not want another cookie cutter web hosting site but something more.

    @LEA I hope your trip and vacation goes well and you have a great time man. You deserve it and as does your family. See you when you get back bro :)

Enjoy your tip LEA you seems to be working too hard lately and you deserved to have a break, well everyone deserved a break and some family time to end the year with the bank…. i’m travelling round south east asia the of since last week of November… to those wondering about QW holiday offerings hopefully i can send some offers for Lowendbox readers before the end of the year! :)

  • Do not use LowEndBox for support issues. Go to your hosting provider and issue a ticket there. Coming here saying "my VPS is down, what do I do?!" will only have your comments removed.
