RAM mentioned in the LEB is 4GB but the link provided is showing 8GB RAM.

Also what is the Data Transfer Rate allowed. No mention of the same.

The description mentioned in the LEB says that “As the server is VT enabled, it supports VMWARE, ESX, OpenVZ, KVM, XEN etc.” How to use this feature – say I want the server to be loaded with Xen Hypervisor with CentOS. No mention about this. With 25 years of experience, the postings need to be better, I feel.

    All the best!

I would also prefer to Checkout via HTTPS, as that is standard these days(hint hint) :)

Was provisioned a server in Santa Clara CA, rather than Miami(currently being moved to Miami). Support had the server ready in less than 12 hours originally, and has been responsive to any questions I have had. I will admit that the network is quite nice – seems like Bay Area networks always feels a little bit bogged down, but not with this connection – connectivity to most places is fast and feels snappy. Serverbear benchmark on an installed KVM VM was pretty impressive, considering the older proc. Was able to access the Dell OpenManage software and peek around at the config on the server.

Overall, the machine is quite snappy and the network is responsive in CA – would love to have a bit more bandwidth though(8-10TB).

I expected the Bzip time to be worse considering it’s an older Xeon CPU but it’s better than most of the run of the mill VPS. I/O speed leaves a little bit to be desired but I’m not complaining too much for the price.

Well verasweb want’s a $49 setup fee now and we don’t need to consider CM now do we? at last I heard people were getting invoiced their second month and their server is still pending!!

This is not too bad a deal considering they are on Dell blade servers, would make a sweeter deal if it came with DRAC! but yeah nothing too spectacular that we have not seen from Datashack or WII..

I got my server from them couple weeks ago commercial media is legit they take some time to get the servers up and running because I dont think they actually carry any stock. Also all these people have to do is call CM and they push the billing date forward to whenever you actually get the server.

I ordered the special, I was put in CA. Not Miami. I had a DDoS attack on 1 of my IP’s and I opened a ticket to let them know about it, and to try and get logs so I could investigate. I then called the number provided. They answer the phone as ” Software Support “. I spoke with Frank and he said that because they offer cheap box’s no DDoS would be tolerated at all. Then they shut my server down, locking me out. He was very rude, I called a 2nd time, he claimed he would send a refund. We shall see

I decided to call Baremetalhosting / Newservers. They answer the phone the same way. So yes they are the same people.

Stay away from them. Here is a copy of the ticket i also submitted.

Hey David, I just spoke to management about the situation. Unfortunately their reply is below, I wish I had better news.

Your server was the target of a DOS attack which occurred at the time listed below and lasted for the duration listed beside it.
Unfortunately due to the low price we offer servers we have zero tolerance for network issues that impact the quality of our network.
Your server has been disconnected. We apologize for the inconvenience and regret not being able to do business with you.
