LEA (LowEndAdmin) is the original founder of LowEndBox and the visionary who gave rise to an entire movement around minimalist, efficient hosting. In 2008, LEA launched LowEndBox with a simple but powerful idea: that it was possible to run meaningful applications, web servers, VPNs, mail servers, and more – on small, low-cost virtual machines with minimal resources.
At a time when most infrastructure discussions were dominated by high-end servers and enterprise platforms, LEA championed the opposite approach: lightweight Linux distros, self-managed servers, open source software, and thoughtful optimization. This philosophy gave birth to the term “Low End Box”, which would come to define a new genre of hosting tailored to developers, tinkerers, and budget-conscious users around the world.
Through LowEndBox and its companion forum, LowEndTalk, LEA built the foundation for what would become one of the most active and enduring communities in the hosting world, prioritizing knowledge-sharing, transparency, and accessibility.
After several years of nurturing the site and community, LEA stepped away from active involvement, passing the torch to a new generation of admins, contributors, and moderators. Today, LEA remains a respected figure in the LowEnd ecosystem, credited with launching a platform and philosophy that continues to influence thousands of infrastructure providers and users globally.
LowEndBox’s legacy, and its thriving community, is a direct result of LEA’s original vision.
their website looks familiar…
…oops, delimiter?
Only bit that looks familiar to me is the plan table, as well as it being on the front page.
Doesn’t “exclusive” mean that the offer is only for LEB?
looks just like delimiter, from page structure (unnecessarily large amount of images) to plan table.
I thought the same when I visited their website. :)
Alex from SuperVM here. Although we know Dan (the original admin of Delimiter), and his designs were partially sourced for SuperVM based on the reception we saw to them, he’s not involved in our company’s VPS operations at this point.
I’m always happy to respond to inquiries, either at abilton@super-vm.com or via the general support line at support@super-vm.com.
Hmmm.
Dan is the registered owner of Daedelus Group, as you can see. It’s a collective of several properties run by various people, among them design blogs, forums, media sites, and web hosts. We’re a group of IT/design grad students with serious business aims; SuperVM and our upcoming ventures have thousands invested in hardware and are built to last.
I’d challenge any skeptic to sign up for a low-end plan, see just how well we can support you, and make use of the 14-day guarantee if we can’t.
Once again, we’re happy to answer any questions about our company and operations at support@super-vm.com.
Dan Fry AGAIN? :)
Busted!
Why would a VPS provider not have redundant DNS? The free web web host I run has redundant DNS. (Main VPS + another VPS with cPanel DNS only)
On another note, this has got to be one of the best performing VPSes I’ve used at this price point. I’m able to get 200ish Mbps running iperf to one of my colo’d servers (and it capped there cause that server has a 220mbit uplink).
Bought the vps 1/2 a month ago .. 7+ hrs because of a “Node issue” and been down for at least 4 hours that i know of now…
I have a bad experience buying VPS from them. Too many downtime an long support respond.
@Calvin Alexander you ordered trial VPS when you already have VPS which was suspended for unpaid due. This is the reason you had bad experience buying. For now we have stopped providing Trial VPS.
Hey Friends All in above Super-VM is now with Kiran not with Alan , Alan is no more the owner of Super-Vm. Now the servers are all fine and up to date i am also a client of super-vm
