Via this WHT post. urgentVPS has released their 2010 pricing and they have a special offer at €14.85/3 Months, i.e. €4.95/Month. Which at last week’s sharp change against USD, it’s roughly $7/month which meets my listing criteria. I guess I better post it just in case USD slides again this week. You get the following no-so-lowend OpenVZ VPS:
- 384MB guaranteed/512MB burstable memory
- 30GB storage
- 100GB/month data transfer
- Virtuozzo
- CentOS/Fedora Core/Debian/Ubuntu
Servers are in Frankfurt Germany, although the company is based in UK. You can get even more discount with yearly payment and coupon code “WHT-ANNUAL-25OFF” to get 25% off. It’s very cheap for Virtuozzo-based VPS, which we have rarely featured comparing to OpenVZ-based plans. You also get “free” Plesk 9.x 10 domain license, but I guess you won’t be of “low end box spirit” if you fall to the dark side and use a memory hungry hosting control panel :)

LEA (LowEndAdmin) is the original founder of LowEndBox and the visionary who gave rise to an entire movement around minimalist, efficient hosting. In 2008, LEA launched LowEndBox with a simple but powerful idea: that it was possible to run meaningful applications, web servers, VPNs, mail servers, and more – on small, low-cost virtual machines with minimal resources.
At a time when most infrastructure discussions were dominated by high-end servers and enterprise platforms, LEA championed the opposite approach: lightweight Linux distros, self-managed servers, open source software, and thoughtful optimization. This philosophy gave birth to the term “Low End Box”, which would come to define a new genre of hosting tailored to developers, tinkerers, and budget-conscious users around the world.
Through LowEndBox and its companion forum, LowEndTalk, LEA built the foundation for what would become one of the most active and enduring communities in the hosting world, prioritizing knowledge-sharing, transparency, and accessibility.
After several years of nurturing the site and community, LEA stepped away from active involvement, passing the torch to a new generation of admins, contributors, and moderators. Today, LEA remains a respected figure in the LowEnd ecosystem, credited with launching a platform and philosophy that continues to influence thousands of infrastructure providers and users globally.
LowEndBox’s legacy, and its thriving community, is a direct result of LEA’s original vision.

I opened a VPS with UrgentVPS and it’s excellent value for money and very fast. Impressed!
I am a satisfied client of urgentvps under this product. For the price, you get what you pay for with a little more.
If you are new to VPS, this is not for you as their servers are un-managed. If you are a pro, this is a steal for you.
Signed up a few days back, So far nothing. sent in a support ticket, they closed it, Have i been scammed?
UrgentVPS – Setup Time 79 Days!, No Contact, No Refund, What A Joke!

Now they are being ignorant with me. closing tickets they also terminate the vps for no apparent reason. I will be reviewing them…..
Had a VPS with them for 4 months. Started off well, but then a series of terrible downtime with poor communication. Have now moved all my sites away. Avoid!
Another update – UrgentVPS have kind of relaunched themselves by moving to a different data centre and making a profuse apology for downtime.
My VPS has now been up and stable for about a month. Might be worth giving them a try as they still offer excellent value and very fast servers.
urgent fu*ckign sh*it is this, I have been scamed, no reponse no nothing container down, can’t be reainstaled notih, they are fucking morons
