    • BEWARE OF THEIR HIDDEN TOS that prevents you from really using the server to it’s fullest. They do not tell you about this when you sign up but they have all sorts of hidden TOS terms like CPU Utilization, IO Utilization and more.

THEY WILL SHUTDOWN YOUR SERVER REGURLARLY!!!!

Server is contstantly down all the time and support is HORRIBLE!!!

    January 4, 2017 @ 9:33 am | Reply
    • Our Christmas deals were in a limited number of locations, with limited support and no refunds. This offer includes our one week refund policy, full support, as well as access to IP changes, migrations, and more. I highly recommend trying out our full-fledged support/features for a week in a location closest to you, and if you don’t like it, apply for a refund.

Doesn’t matter which offer I select, and using the proper options according to the offers. I keep getting:

“The promotion code you entered has been applied to your cart but no items qualify for the discount yet – please check the promotion terms”

    January 4, 2017 @ 12:43 pm | Reply
    • The coupon “LEB50” is only valid for the SSD1G, SSD4G, and Pro+ plans, on an annual term. My guess would be that you attempted ordering monthly. If you would like to order monthly, use the coupon LEB35. The code “LEB35” cannot be used annually.

    • LEB50 code is annually only. LEB35 code is monthly only. Both codes are limit one use per client per order. If you follow these guidelines and still have an issue, please open a ticket in the billing department.

Debian 8 and Ubuntu 16.04 are available in the panel after you order.

  6. Any ipv6 at any of those locations?

    January 4, 2017 @ 4:25 pm | Reply
    • We no longer advertise IPv6 in our offers as it’s extremely limited. Please do not order if you need IPv6, until we advertise it. We will most likely begin offering IPv6 once ColoCrossing also supports IPv6 and Serverhub irons out the issues they have been having with IPv6.

    Hello VirMach,
Due to the nature of my work as a security researcher, sometimes I have to port-scan the target (of course the target gives me the permission to do any security test I want),
so is this activity violate any terms of yours?
    thanks

    January 5, 2017 @ 6:50 pm | Reply
    • This is against our terms of service. Unfortunately most of the time, when someone claims to be a security researcher they just “stress test” and port scan the target and pretend like the target wanted it, and can’t prove it. If you want to order a dedicated server, we may be able to make an exception if you open a ticket and list the IP addresses which you have permission to “security test” and have the owner of the IP block contact us confirming it’s okay.

I have submitted a cancellation request. I’m not saying is a bad deal. The server is fairly discounted but I feel there is a technical inexperience within their personnel.

Jon Biloh, I’m really dissapointed with this offer. Specially when you use these words: “we are featuring a new offer from one of our trusted hosts, VirMach”. These people are like 1/10 of the quality support of HVH, that says a lot. Please educate your resellers about the IPMI options, specially how to protect it and deploy securely (private network).

I must say this LLC company feels like 1/2 man show.
Again highly dissapointed by your words.

    January 6, 2017 @ 7:37 pm | Reply
    • There’s a difference between our support being inexperienced and receiving a low level of support on an unmanaged service. Had your service been managed or you had selected the support & management feature, our staff would go above and beyond to assist you for free.

You were requesting a custom change to the networking of your server, and we quoted you the cost for the change. You elected to cancel the service instead, which is fine.

I do not understand how it’s acceptable to bash a company and claim they have a technical inexperience because they told you that they would not be able to perform a change for you on an unmanaged server for free. Our agent was nice enough to also offer this $40 change for free if you subscribed longer, completely out of courtesy. I’m sorry but we cannot afford to waive a $40 fee on a $31.85 service if you’re just subscribed for a month. I understand your concern about the IPMI, but there are other ways to secure IPMI than your requested change. We could have also disabled IPMI for you.

Nah, check the ticket. I never had a problem paying. It could have been 60 dollars and I wouldnt mind.

        The problem is:

1- I asked for the IPMI to be changed to private. Typical normal request. Also I specified that I could do it myself if you could tell me the private network details to use.

2- Virmach then told me that they would have to contact the datacenter to see how much it would be. Ok so I waited and waited and waited.

3- Got tired and cancelled, I waited like more than 24 hours for such stupid request.

I understand your are reselling HVH. So whenever I buy a dedicated from HVH, I make such request, they charge me 0. In fact I make the request on the order so that they dont go ahead and expose the IPMI.

Let’s make it clear, you never offered to turn off the IPMI as an option.

Remember this is not a managed support, this is part of your contract with me. IPMI is part of the server, it is taking into consideration, just like the BIOS or any component of the server. You provided me a limited IPMI access with no powers.

In case of doubt, check the tickets. Patience has it limits sir.

The service is bad, down many time. And support is very bad. Beware the auto renew, that included when register. They don’t refund although it’s just happen and they can do it. Low resposponsibility business.

    February 5, 2017 @ 12:47 am | Reply
    • I can understand why you would be upset that you forgot to cancel your service, however, there’s no need to make false claims of comments being fake or the support being bad just because they refused a refund per our terms of service.

We offer refunds within 7 days of the initial purchase, and give you notifications about the recurring billing on the checkout. It’s impossible to add your PayPal account or a credit card without being told it is recurring. The majority of our customers prefer to be billed automatically. If you use a credit card, you have the option, during checkout, to disable automatic billing. You can also contact us to disable automatic billing for you and you can also cancel your service easily from your panel, without even contacting us.

In addition, our support is superb and improving every month. This week, our average response time was within one hour. I do apologize if you did have any downtimes, but these are extremely rare. The majority of our servers still sit at 100% uptime. In the event of a downtime, your account is automatically credited for one week of service. If your service was down “many time” as you stated, then you should have “many” one week credits in your account. In that case, you should not have been billed and money should have been credited from your credit balance.

Please feel free to contact us again and have the ticket flagged to management. Reference your comment on LowEndBox and I will personally take a look to ensure everything was handled correctly.

    • Yes, I’ve seen some pretty bad support too. We had our server up for a week or so and then they notified us we needed to verify which was not a problems. We were working with them and had a problem getting the right address since we are currently in Africa. Long story short, they suspended our server even though we were working with them to solve the issue.

It was not a good start and we have had several issue since then. The lastest is they shutdown your server if you have a high utilization for more than 5 mins.

They over sell their servers and put the risk on us for their abuse!!!

Are you planning on offering Windows Server 2016 soon?

Also, your Windows Server 2012 image appears to ship with automatic updates turned off. That seems like a very poor default setting IMO.
