Wayne from YourDomainGoesHere (YDGH) emailed me 2 days ago about their exclusive offer to the LowEndBox.com readers. There are two exclusive promo codes. First of all, use LEB10 to get 10% off recurring discount from their already-cheap OpenVZ VPS. Which means you can get their “VPS1” for $4.50/month which has
- 512MB memory
- 20GB storage
- 1,000GB/month data transfer
- OpenVZ/vePortal
Their servers are in Dallas. Do also check our previous thread on YDGH and there are some good feedbacks from customers. Hopefully they will be around for the long run.
Now here’s another promo code from YDGH. Use LEB3 to get 3 months free when you pay for a year. The yearly price is $4.50/month and $54/year. However when I applied the promo code I am getting $30 once off discount which brings down the cost to $24 for the first year. Pretty awesome for test driving this low end VPS. Not sure whether it is intentional or a mistake. The promo code issue has now been fixed.

We fixed our promo code, it now accurately gives you 3 months free. Our mistake on the $30 once off.
Ops.. too bad.. I thought can get a $24 offer. :(
@Sei Kan, I apologize, it’s still a steal at around $40/year
Wow, great offer but the sound of OpenVZ and being lowend at the same time scares me :(
just my opinion.
Are burst reseller ??
@safitri
its cheaper :s.
btw, where is the server located?
Dallas, pay attention to the post.
@Safitri- They’re not a BurstNET reseller.
Hello
First of all I should tell you I love this blog :X
So please keep it going :)

Please provide a newsletter for your blog via feedburner.
Thanks ,
Amir
It’s $45/yr, not $54 ;)
Is “LEB3” 3month free offer recurring or just for 1st year?
@innya for one year only.
This is a great provider, i signed up as soon as the deal was posted on WHT (10% deal exists there too)
They seem like they’re BurstNET resellers…
Nevermind :D They aren’t… Someone answered my question for me.
Their servers are in Dallas (not Scranton PA like Burst)
To be honest, very few hosts uses vePortal due as SolusVM has a lower price.
vePortal (Or BurstNET’s copy is atleast) is buggy.
Jackk: I might chalk that up to Burst being Burst, rather than any inherent issue with vePortal. Burst is kind of like British Telecom; they taint and corrupt everything they come into contact with. If they branched out into the gravel business – crushed-up rock, what could go wrong?! – I’m sure they’d screw that up, too, somehow.
@Mike – LOL, probably. Although Burst blaim it on vePortal.
The service is very good and the servers are stable. Also the support is very nice and is online in the live chat most of the time.
This is a benchmark result of the plan VPS1 (512mb RAM, 1 Core) taken on Cent OS 5.5 32-bit with installed Kloxo. Taken with Unix Bench 5.1.2
So is there no swap on this? Can’t I partition the disk to have a swap with my OS that I install?
@James – Swap isn’t possible on OpenVZ systems.
UPDATE: It seems that now vePortal is cheaper than SolusVM. Either they had changed their price recently or I remembered wrong.
@Klikli they changed their price not to long ago, but after you add in $5 for each node for vecommander it’s about the same.
@innya the 3 month is not recurring. (Basically this is a 25% discount, and is by far the best promo we have ever offered!) You can use LEB10 which is recurring on the Annual term if you want, because the annual term already gets 10% discount by default!
@joe the WHT promo is not the same as the LEB10 promo. WHT is a one time 10% discount on first payment. We purposely made the LEB promo our absolute best promo as a special thanks to LowEndBox.com !
If you will email sales@yourdomaingoeshere.com and CC me wayne@yourdomaingoeshere.com Joe, I will personally make sure your promo is switched from WHT to LEB10 though to make sure you get the recurring instead of just the first month.
I will do the same for anyone who used WHT. If you are a LowEndBox reader, just email us per above and we will be more than happy to switch you the recurring!
Signed up with them. Now my vps is down and here is what I got from them in response to my inquiry:
—
We are offering customers on server5 and server7 free transfers to server8, please view this forum post for more details!

Well, the problem is I can’t pull up yourdomaingoeshere.com
I would not recommend these guys.
@James – I am also unable to load their website.
Website down for me too
Looks like a DNS issue.
C:\Users\kli>nslookup yourdomaingoeshere.com
Server: google-public-dns-a.google.com
Address: 8.8.8.8
Unauthroized Answer:
名稱: yourdomaingoeshere.com
Address: 64.87.52.19
It should not past it’s TTL but some DNS server may clear it cache before TTL. Google DNS never clear a DNS cache before or after it’s TTL. That’s why I love it and I hate it.
I am loading yourdomaingoeshere.com without any issues,
http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/yourdomaingoeshere.com seems to be down, though.
Yep, their single nameserver is down.
And people wonder why some of us harp on about redundant DNS? :)
YDGH, you fail webhosting forever…
@James we are offering transfers off of that server because of all the issues we are having with veportal. Veportal is full of bugs and we are switching to solusvm.
Our site, along with your VPS was down for just a few minutes because of a permissions issue that happens with veportal every so often making us reboot the entire server.
You would not recommend us because we are victim of veportal bugs? That’s harsh, but we will accept this nonetheless.
Also, we did not send anything in response to any inquiry to you. That was a mass email sent out minutes before we became the victim of the veportal internal server error permissions bug. Also, you must have signed up under a different name, because we have noone named “James” in our system.
@mike Redundant DNS or not, the issue was further than nameservers as the whole server was in the process of being rebooted. Our site is on the same server as server5 customers.
We apologize for any inconvenience this caused server5 customers and are willing to take full responsibility for the downtime regardless of how short it may have been. If you would open a ticket with us we will be glad to do what we can to keep your business.
@Corey wow, nice to see that you are taking responsibilities of the issues/downtimes even though it was vePortal, as you say.
I would have definately given you a try if it was XEN but OpenVZ is a no-no with me :)
We are about to be implementing XEN later this week now that we have moved on from veportal :)
I am their new customer and also a newbie … at first place they shouldn’t have sold me their services considering tons of newbie questions coming their way … but Wayne not only encouraged me to go for it but is also promptly helping me in all issues I encounter. They even made me a phone call to India … although I declined phone call help, I feel this is the best experience I had with any customer service and that too at such a low price. These guys seem to be working very hard and am sure they will go long way in their venture. If at all there are any small issues I strongly feel we must give them some time … again what more can we except at this price. I will strongly recommend them to my friends.
If you are anxiously awaiting for our implementation of XEN and would like to be added to our list of people to contact when XEN is live please email me! I will send an email to you when XEN is live. Thank you!
My email address is katrenia@yourdomaingoeshere.com
@Parag Thank you for sharing your experience
I also dropped an email to sales team and Wayne Rhoton replied instantly. My inquiry was about their future XEN offers. Anxiously waiting for their XEN offers
@Parag Thank you for your kind words! We do strive for excellent customer service and appreciate all feedback. We are constantly looking for newer and better ways to provide the level of customer service that we believe our customers deserve! You keep the questions coming and we will answer them to the best of our ability. :)
@Asim Please email me with your preferred email address and subject of XEN and I will add you to our list so that when we get XEN online I can let you know! Thank you.
katrenia@yourdomaingoeshere.com
AND DON’T WORRY GUYS, IF YOU EVER DECIDE TO SIGN UP THEY GIVE YOU THIS FAKE SHINY LOCK THAT SEZ “SECURE FORM” BUT DON’T WORRY, “SECURE CONNECTION FAILED” WHEN USING HTTPS IS JUST A SIDE EFFECT /sarcasm
f*k that
I am also interested in your XEN plan… Already emailed you. Thank you.
It seems fishy, they domain is not look so good to see and they dont have any professional support team I believe. Already their main IP has been blacklisted by different mail provider, they also face mail marketing issue on their node, dont even know how to stop them :)
@Ozib – I believe this is a VPS provider – You are responsible for the handling of spam on your system.
Thanks @Jackk
Thats correct. We do monitor and shut down abusers, however you are responsible for that as well.
We did find out that one of our class C blocks given to us from our colo provider is on a few spam blacklists.. However thats really not an issue we have close to a thousand unused IPs and can easily get more as we need them.
As for SSL, when you checkout…….. You go to paypal or Google Checkouts site I am pretty sure their SSL works ;)
We understand there are going to be competitors using random names to post any flaw they can find about us…. And I will be the first to tell you that yes we do have flaws. What is important is that we WILL do everything we can to resolve any problems. If you had any valid reason to claim we do not have professional support then by all means let me know personally. I am one of the 2 Founders of YDGH and I WILL fix any support issues immediately.
We are very passionate about our business! And if someone is being unprofessional I DO want to know about it.
There are 6 of us that you may work with on a regular basis. As we grow there will be more! Over nights our support is a little more limited… However we ARE there to help with what we can 24x7x365 and any emergency situations can be fixed immediately.
We get a HUGE amount of request that we SHOULD not support… “Can you install this for me, My emails not working, I have this scripting error” ect….. That we still fix when we can… Even though they are way beyond our support.
Bottom line is that we are VERY passionate about our business and if you have a concern bring it to our attention we WILL help the best we can!!
Best Regards,
Wayne Rhoton

Well getting blacklisted IPs is not an issue. I love QuickWeb and as I can remember, on my first ever VPS, I was given an IP which was blacklisted, asked for replacement which was also blacklisted. The third time the new ip I was issued was clean. So, this is not an issue and I believe if an IP is blacklisted, providers just don’t throw them away, they request them to be removed from that blacklisted database.
@Wayne Keep up the good work
I must say, that they really try to correct every problem as soon as possible – for example they changed the vePortal panel with SolusVM. For now, the servers are fast and stable. Also, I like their approach to offer only guaranteed RAM.
Im definitly trying YDGH.. although their TOS mentioned about shoutcast limitations. I had a live chat and they gave a good respond.. and im happy with that.
I’ve been with them for only a short period of time, however, they are one of the easiest hosts to work with that I have ever encountered. They are have a very nice personal touch to everything. Whenever I go on the live chat, they are very friendly and do everything personally – no annoying canned responses or anything of that sort. Also, on top of that, they give very good specs for the price. To anyone looking to buy a VPS, I strongly recommend that you at least take a good look at YDGH.
Hey there they already have their XEN online, https://www.yourdomaingoeshere.com/xen.php
don’t know why they did not the people on their mailing list.
@scyllar
Because we are not fully live with Xen yet.
We had a complication immediately after adding that and removed it. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Yes the Xen Server is live but were still testing it. Would like for everything to be smooth as possible before we start marketing it :)
“Chat Live 24*7*365 (Online)” – Offline :S
Thanks jackk, I will contact the people responsible for being in live chat. There is no reason that should be offline.
Thanks Corey – I also ordered about 15 minutes and the invoice is showing as paid but I still have no details.
Jack.
First VPS was setup – I ordered a second VPS systems as I would like two different systems for two different things. The first one I had details for after around 30 minutes of waiting. I placed the order for the second VPS around 2 hours ago and still have no details – Have emailed Wayne regarding the matter to see what he has to say for my such long wait for what should be an automated process.
Thanks,
Jack.
While in the middle of working on something on my VPS, it suddenly shut off and will not power back on. I’ve been waiting and waiting in live chat with no response =/.
@Drew
It was scheduled maintenance –
https://www.yourdomaingoeshere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=20
@YDGH-Corey:
Don’t you notify your affected clients by email or open tickets for them while you schedule it? That’s really unprofessional IMHO.
@Jack
First I apologize for your delay. I work over nights, so I have not been awake during the day today. Katrenia my Wife is normally very fast about setting accounts up but she was a little busy today.
Many companies take 24-72 hours to setup a VPS.
“Normally within 2 hours” is only stated on our Reseller plans.
Even though we do not advertise it anywhere on our site.. VPS are normally setup within 10-60 minutes. Again Katrenia was very busy at the exact time you setup the 2nd order which is why it took a little longer than normal. We do not guarantee VPS setup will be instant or within 2 hours.
We normally have at least 1 person in chat 24×7. The only reason chat was down for a while today was because Katrenia did not realize she was logged out of chat when apache restarted while Corey was adding another SSL.
Any way, again we all apologize for your delay Jack. If you ever have a problem in the future and for some reason chat is down, we also have ticket support and phone support 24×7, and we actually keep at least 1 person available 24×7.
Normally 2 at night and 3-4 day time.
—
Additionally as of tonight we went ahead and setup VPS on auto setup for future convenience.
@ scyllar
Yes we notified everyone by email and on our forums.
@YDGH-Wayne
Thanks for the response. Indeed feel happy to know that because I’ve been watching to test drive your XEN all the time.
A little advice for you, don’t go too fast to exceed the capabilities of support. I see some new hosts on WHT often “intetionally” go out of stock and focus on support & maintanance. Best luck on your venture!
Advice is always appreciated. :)
Most host are also interested in up front profits. They start with reseller plans so that after 2 sales they are making profit.
We are reinvesting every penny to better our company in every way we can. Our interest is improving for the future!
@scyllar
I can confirm that I received an e-mail for the maintenance.
My Account was setup with in 15 mins.. it’s great.. thank LEB and YDGH..
@acelabs
Thank you for choosing YDGH! We look forward to working with and for you!
HMM..
So I’ve ordered…
Waiting for 10 hours for activation…
Our data center is upgrading us to GigE connection as we are maxing out our 100Mbps connection! Due to this all orders made today and probably for the next 24 hours (or until connection is upgraded to GigE will have delayed setups)
—
We expected the upgrade to be done right away, however since it has not been done right away we will be adding note to our website about this delay so that new orders are aware of the limited delay.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
Our connection has been upgraded and all orders have been processed. Thank you to everyone who ordered and waited patiently for your VPS to be set up!
