2gbvps.com, a company specialising in the latest LowEndBox trend of 2GB virtual servers, recently got in touch with an offer for you.
AYVR 2GB
|
2GBVPS are an Australian PTY LTD registered company (ACN 159 993 987). Whilst this is their first LowEndBox offer, they’re a 6 month old company and a part of the “allyourvps.com group”. They claim they don’t oversell and that all servers are under-provisioned by 2GB of ram (15x2GB on 32GB servers, 31x2GB on 64GB servers etc). I am a little sceptic though, as I don’t believe it would be economically viable. They are using Quad core “or better” CPUs on their servers such as the E3-1230v2, i7-2600 or E5-1620. Share your benchmarks and thoughts with us below!
2GBVPS accept payment via Paypal. They provide a “Fair use 7 day refund” basically they will refund you if you haven’t used all the bandwidth etc. I’ve had a quick look at their terms, basically don’t host anything illegal and don’t abuse the server or network. You may want to read their very short Terms of Service / Acceptable Usage Policy for yourself.

At the instant when I saw this offer, I just LOL’d…
Why LOLing?! Is it too good to be true?
No, is another one…
And even is in their name
+1
Thanks for your laughter, if you want to continue laughing you can or I can provide a 24hr test VPS to show the pudding proof ;)
Looks like massive overselling to be 100% Honest.
Your concerns are certainly merited, LEB has been full of those who do massively oversell. But as I’ve said, we don’t, and if there is a graph or command line printout that I can make available to prove it isn’t being oversold, I’d be happy to do that :)
If they underprovision, then they’ll no doubt be comfortable with having publicly visible (Munin?) graphs showing their resource consumption across nodes. Right?
Or why not KVM or Xen?
You realise oversold nodes can easily be using less than half the resources right?
If someone has an idea of how to show how many VPS are on a server and therefore that they are under-provisioned, I’m all ears.
I think it’s because the ad here says “no oversell”. What you’re referring to of free resources still is if it’s overloaded. It’s 2 totally different things.
Sorry don’t quite understand you, I’m saying I don’t see how showing a munin graph would prove anything as the RAM could quite possibly be 100% used with only 2 VPS on the server, or only half used with 200 VPS.
Anyway, if someone makes a cogent request, I’ll try implement it.
vzlist | awk ‘{print $1}’

Along with a screenshot of the admin area in solusvm.
not that hard… just saying :)
Zahra said “They claim they don’t oversell and that all servers are under-provisioned by 2GB of ram…I don’t believe it would be economically viable”
Hetzner EX4S i7-2600 50 euros/$65 (excl. VAT). Add 12.50 euros (excl VAT) for a flexpack, the cost of the IPs, the cost of the 3rd and 4th HDs and raid controller if they really are using a Raid 10 setup rather than the stock 2 disk Raid 1 and…you’re right it’s not even close to being economically viable to only put 15 VPS’s on a 32GB server at Hetzner in Germany, or OVH in France…and it’s even less viable at Redstation in the UK.
“60GB Raid 10 Disk space”
They posted an offer on WHT last month (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1225076) that claimed “60GB Raid 10 Disk Space” and in the description it said “2x1TB RAID10 SATA3”. How is it possible to offer Raid 10 if you’re only using 2 hard drives?
“You may want to read their very short Terms of Service / Acceptable Usage Policy”
That’s the shortest TOS/AUS I’ve ever seen.
So its clear there lying about the Raid 10 then obviously if they haven’t figured Raid10 require’s 4 Drives minimum.
RAID10 doesn’t require 4 drives in “near-far” configuration.
Leave the economic viability to us, suffice to say this LEB (and the previous WHT offer) is only to get the brand out there and fill currently mostly empty servers (which make us 0 money by the way).
This offer is not our normal price, and I think you’ll find the normal 10euro/month is in fact viable for a small company.
We aren’t another ChicagoVPS, we have a very specific market in mind, and we think we’ll have enough of a loyal customerbase to grow to a sustainable size, but we’ll never have thousands of customers (well maybe we will, but we don’t aim to become that over night).
Once people see we keep to our word about under-provisioning, we’ll stop doing the discounts and people can pay the full economic price, which will easily make us profitable :)
And site was hacke lol :
http://allyourvps.com/
Proof: http://imm.io/VTah
It is supposed to be like that. Marketing placeholder while we decide what to put there.
Man, i don’t use VPS from your company, but it’s hard to trust you when we see this, and ‘vps are belong’, i’m not sure if this is good english, etc..Next time you will know before posting your LEB. We’ve all heard that we have to learn from our mistakes, this was yours.
Uhm… its a meme: http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/all-your-base-are-belong-to-us
The type of customers we want could be stereotyped as nerds, and nerds would know the meme probably, and get a chuckle over it.
But thanks for the critique, though I’d volunteer back that your english isn’t that good ;)
I updated the site to make it more clear it is a placeholder.
What is this? Is it a joke as there seem to be countless things wrong with them?
THEY ARE BELONG, lol, i don’t think this is joke.
This will probably get spam-deleted, but I bought one of the VPS, but there seems to be no way to create a support ticket and no way to change the start image.
Perhaps I am just too impatient and there are instructions on there way for this ….
I replied to your ticket, I don’t quite understand as other customers have managed to do both of those things. Please check the ticket reply for further details.
Hi – the button to create a support ticket now exists – I have raised one now.
Thanks,
Chris
Hi, glad you got that sorted, I have replied and I believe the issue is resolved :)
Thanks – got a response, pointing me to the Solus panel – but I never got login details for that. Another ticket raised for that. :(
I resent them to you, they were sent initially when you paid perhaps it was sent to spam?
Thanks – have the details now. :)
Hi,
I think non-overselling policy can be accepted if they own their hardware and co-locate with a DataCenter. Although, on OpenVZ platform, overselling is a general platform. Let’s see the benchmarks who have already purchased !
Benchmarks on the 1st day of release are hardly going to be spectacular with everyone running hours of dd tests, but if you all want to load up minecraft or something and hog all the 2GB ram I think you’ll find the servers cope perfectly fine :)
I went to sign up today but they seem to have removed the offer and they want €10 per month now.
I replied to you, as I said, http://puu.sh/21qIW it seems to work when I test it, and 5 other people in the past hour have managed to apply it, so I’m not sure what is going on.
And I see you’ve signed up, glad to have you onboard!
Lmao 2GB, atleast disk IO is half decent.
Thanks for posting the benchmark, not half bad considering there is a few other people doing the same tests at the moment. 75MB/s is certainly more than enough to make use of the Gbit connection too if you so desired.
75 mb/s is not a decent speed for me. I would prefer 100 mb/s or more !
That is 75MB/s under load from benchmarking, so it will probably be 100MB/s+ normally.
And I’d love to know what sort of programs need 100MB/s on a 2GB 10euro/month VPS.
What is wrong with you all?
You don’t even give them a chance.
He stated he will use the LEB-Pricing to get known.
So, pick one, test it, share the results or just GTFO.
Agreed.
Bought it,
Yep pretty damn near 2GB free, if people are interested in other OS templates that are even lower on RAM usage I’m happy to take suggestions ;)
I’m intrigued with this offer. How many do you have left Josh?
Lets just say germany has been the least popular, so plenty there, while US/UK is about half full. I’d say if you wanted a server in this first batch, you might have 36 hours to sign up, otherwise you might have to wait a few more days beyond that.
Josh, where are you UK data servers exactly?
They use the Redstation hampshire DC-1, pings to anywhere in UK should be sub 10ms generally.
Sorry but what do I enter here?
Hostname: eg. server1(.yourdomain.com)
NS1 Prefix: eg. ns1(.yourdomain.com)
NS2 Prefix: eg. ns2(.yourdomain.com)
I do not have a domain just yet..
Yea unfortunately WHMCS is a bit bad that way, you can just enter anything you want.
ie, blah.blah.com
ns1.blah.com
ns2.blah.com
Purchased. Thanks Josh. Looks like you need to update a bit of your backend systems with some logos rather than generic placeholders :-)
I hadn’t noticed to be honest, used so many different VPS control panels from different providers over the years that I only see the things I’m interested in, but thanks for raising it, it is a very good point :)
Sorry but what do I enter here?
Hostname:
NS1 Prefix:
NS2 Prefix:
I do not have a domain just yet..
Use: ns1.example.com & ns2.example.com
It’s odd that it’s an Australian registered company.
Their registered company name (under than ACN at least) is RAILGUN PTY. LTD.
Yup that is the registered name. We trade as allyourvps.com and 2gbvps.com as well.
Want to know how 2gbvps is doing? Check their uptime and performance: http://z1s.org/dashboard/checks/511a89ca3bfc0a545002852a (France) – Hampshire UK: http://z1s.org/dashboard/checks/511a89aa3bfc0a5450028499 and their homepage: http://z1s.org/dashboard/checks/511a89793bfc0a545002835a
Thanks but that isn’t really necessary and as it isn’t actually being hosted by a reputable uptime monitor I’d prefer you removed those links if you can as it is misleading.
The response time for example is extremely high for some reason. The monitor site seems to be on a NL VPS, so those response times should be about 40ms at most. As is the responsiveness (is that just a ping dropped ratio?).
It isn’t just 2gbvps.com either, the checks page shows extremely high ping times to just about every host,
The checks are full http/https page checks, not icmp. But, as requested, I’ve removed the 2gbvps checks.
Interesting, I use cloudflare so it should definitely not be that slow even more so, very strange. I don’t mind you promoting your site, but you should ask first as you give the impression you represent the sites you track ;)
If you need a second location from which to test, I’m open to a sponsoring agreement.
Just bought a server from you guys, hoping for the best.
Cheers, I hope you enjoy it :)
Stock on UK is now running very low, it is possible but doubtful that new stock will arrive before next week so better get in quick!
I bought a server from your Dallas location, however I gotta know something. This 6 dollar rate, is it introductory, or do I get to keep it as long as I continue my subscription?
All and all, I would say that a lot of these comments deterred me at first but your perservearance in responding to them and backing up your company is what convinced me.
Additionally, you people need to quit being all talk. I have tested this guys VPS services and so far I am pleased. Performance hasn’t been an issue yet, I will definitely post something if I am wronged but for real. You can’t base EVERYTHING off of speculation. Sometimes you just have to put your trust into something, and at 6 dollars I would think that is enough.
Hi, this coupon last forever for that subscription yes.
Thanks for your realisation that we do appear dodgy to begin with, and as I said, I’m not here to make money yet, I’m here to build trust and then people will be willing to pay us a price that does make us money.
I understand the talk, I’d be the same about buyvm or chicagovps, i don’t understand how either of them make money, but I realise that most people who sign up don’t use their resources, so that is how every VPS company makes money, by overselling heaps. We will be different, we will charge more, but not oversell.
hey josh,
is the price for people who got in on this deal going to jump up to 10EUR after some sort of promo period?
thanks!
Hi Neal,
No, that would be against the terms of LEB.
If we don’t succeed as we hope over the next couple months then there might be a point in May where we decide that we cannot turn a profit and therefore have to evaluate whether we continue doing business or raise the prices, but I don’t see that happening :)
As I’ve said, we’re here to build a solid brand and to that end we’re willing to losslead on the initial supporters :)
good stuff, thanks for replying. i’ve been impressed with the service so far, hope it stays around the same level!
Hi everyone just thought I’d let everyone know the billing.allyourvps.com WHMCS SSL certificate issue has been sorted, you can now connect via HTTPS :)
The delay was due to WHMCS licence being purchased as part of the VPS that hosts it, I had to get clarification of whom I purchase the cert from, turns out it doesn’t matter as it has nothing to do with WHMCS :)
Some slots have freed up in the massively popular UK, and additional US slots will be added sometime today.
Hi Josh I was wondering if I will be able to run a program called Multics ?
As I have tried to run it on some of the other servers they kill the program saying its using too much resources.
I would gladly get onto your servers if there is a guarantee that it will not be stopped.
Many Thanks
Regards
Hi, I’d imagine that would be OK, 50% CPU usage 24/7 is fine.
Hi Josh,
I am interested in an UK account using the ($7) promo code.
Do you know when you will have more stock?
Thanks,
Fusey
Hi,
Actually today we will have more :)
Just bought one of these basic 2gbvps.com from Josh based in Germany at 10Euro/month. Impressively fast and works solidly. I am running just a basic wordpress, but I like having the control. And Josh replies to emails, which is even more impressive.
Glad he replies to the e-mails :)
I think I will forget it and get mine elsewhere :(
Sorry that I didn’t reply to your message until now, I stopped checking this page after 3 days of inactivity, you must have just missed me.
I hope you’ve found a good provider regardless, best of luck :)
Just ordered a US one, not that I needed it but meh :)
Hi, just wanted to say that I bought one of these to try as a test bed for a small MongoDB installation and its been working extremely well and solid for a week or so now. Early days of course but a promising start.
Cheers, so far we’ve had very few problems, the biggest we’re dealing with currently is some IP issues with our US nodes, the datacenter hosting the servers has made some big boo boos and misrouted some IPs, but only a couple VPS have been affected and are due to be restored within 12 hours now :)
Additional IPs addresses are now available!
Tried to sign up, but it says promo code has expired?
Can we install windows on these by the way?
Yes it ended on the 28th, there will be another promotion at some stage.
It is OpenVZ, so only linux.
Hello, what’s the speed of the CPU core?
Thanks.
It varies, they are all about as powerful. If you are asking does it mean you want to do something CPU intensive?
If you can still honor this discount I would like to buy 1 vps for all 4 locations. Please respond and let me know if it is possible.
Hi, I can create a special discount for you, just order all 4 but don’t pay the invoice, I will then apply the discount if you make a ticket.
Promotion Code: leb001
Is this promotion over? I see only 10E in order form.
One more question. Is there anyway I can pay with another method? Google checkout? I don’t have a paypal account.
Yes it is over sorry, and we only have paypal as not in US/UK sorry!
I tried their France location from some days and it’s running very stable and very good really, my ut game server in the vps going very well & stable. :)
When will you next have an offer? I’d like to buy.
Hi,
I’d like to do another offer soon, just have to wait for April Fools to pass.
Also I cannot guarantee LEB will post it, but I am waiting for a couple other sites to post.
These are not 1Gb/s ports, they are 100 Mb/s ports, I test all locations with same results.

Hi, they are, you need to download a much larger file than 10MB to see Gbps speeds, 10MB is hardly long enough for TCP window to increase.
Anyway, how have you tested all locations, I do not see any account with more than 3 VPS except for someone with 7 who was using stolen paypal accounts, who I suspended around the 26th, was that you?
Coupon has been enabled again until 17th, new nodes on the way!
Hi,
Giving the one in Germany a try for a month. Thanks for renewing the deal. Also thanks for offering a return policy and an easy to read and understand ToS/AUP.
Hi ClownJugglar,
Cheers no worries we realised that the price point we were aiming for and the RAM guarantee was just not practical, nor really needed.
As for the TOS etc, yes, that was the idea. So sick of 10 page copy-paste-substitute-name ones that allow the provider to get away with anything if they want to. That isn’t to say we still can’t get away with anything, but if we do it’d be completely in the face of the ToS/AUP. This way, we tell it like it is, people hopefully get it as it is, and we avoid any nonsense.
Just so everyone knows, we’ve not had a single request for refund that we haven’t granted, and the couple we refunded, the reasons were “didn’t realise it was OpenVZ, needed KVM” and “bad ping to my ISP”. With over 200 orders I feel that is a pretty decent retention rate for nigh on 2 months now :)
Enjoy your weekend all!
Hi all,
We’re changing our policy on not overselling due to the lack of response in the market. However, we are still sticking to a strict overselling policy of 100%. That is, you will always have 1GB ram available, burstable to 2GB.
We can’t reveal exact stats but suffice to say 2 nodes that are at 100% are still only using about 20% of the ram, and have been for the past month, so we feel this update in policy is a Good Thing ™. It will enable us to actually make a small amount of money on the servers (at the moment with 90%+ using the coupons we’re not breaking even), as well as still provide a consistently good service at a lower price point than otherwise.
We’d like to be able to stick to the no overselling, and as such we will be bringing in KVM/Xen in the next month to cater for that.
If you have any questions please do make a ticket or enquiry, we’ll be more than happy to assist!
Oh and there won’t be any degradation in service, the general consensus amongst some other providers I talked to about this is that the 20% current RAM usage for a full node (and barely 5% disk IO, 3% network traffic, 15% cpu), will at most rise to 40% of max, leaving more than enough room and performance on demand.
Having said that, we aren’t trying to pull a fast one here so anyone with at least 14 days left in their renewal is entitled to a full refund if they wish, just open a ticket :)
I’ve been using the UK VPS for a few months now and I have to say I’ve had no issues at all. I’ve had no downtime and the server has been fast and reliable at all times.
Thanks!
Fusey
Thanks Fusey, I’m glad the service has been great for you :)
We’ve had a couple replies to this announcement, both positive, both asking that if we need more money to keep the service alive they will pay, so I can’t think of any better endorsement for what we’re doing than that :)
So just to sum up, the service quality will be just as good, all we’re doing is reducing some of the massive free resources to fit more customers and maintain this low level pricing at the same time :)
We decided to open up quarterly payments due to request, previously we didn’t want to do this due to our un-proven track record. Now that we have some, I feel we can accept the commitment to provide services for 3 months :)
Oh and added more Germany stock.
Unfortunately, the promo code doesn’t work with quarterly payments (tried to order a France server)… Could you check?
Hi that’s correct, we feel that quarterly price is already cheap enough :)
And code extended another 2 weeks till 1st May!
Got one of these a few days ago UK one – here is the bench mark 100MB file download.
CPU model : Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E31230 @ 3.20GHz
Number of cores : 1
CPU frequency : 3192.769 MHz
Total amount of ram : 2048 MB
Total amount of swap : 2 MB
Download speed : (32.7MB/s)
I/O speed : 46.6MB/s
Thanks Anthony, nice benchmark!
We’ve re-enabled the code for another 4 weeks, use up those slots so we can get more servers for you!
I can report that I have had no issue’s so far and as promised the spec is great! no downtime, fast server – overall a great product/service so far.
will report back in a few weeks to keep you posted.
New offer coming soon guys, just waiting for last submission and them posting of!
I have been a customer for a few months now, and so far I am very happy with the service. I am using it to run an irc client and a web server for a few websites. The price cannot be beaten!
When’s this new offer coming Josh I would be interested :)
Hi I’m submitting it now, we have new location coming, Switzerland!
Cool, still no offer on yet :(
Still waiting for it to go live, you can use leb002 now though!
Apparently being ignored or just no one looking at the offers, so it hasn’t been posted, but leb001 still works :)
The clock on the server hosting my vps has drifted over 5 minutes. This is causing crypto problems. Ntp, please?
NTP has been re-initiated on that server.
Hey there,
I’d like to give this service a try. Any running offer at the moment ? :D
Hey, is there any offer running at the moment?
New offer up!
The promotion code entered has expired
=(
I don’t how people can think by paying a very low price to get a high quality service , it’s just ridiculous … When we’re talking about HQ VPS, we must consider the service, the maintenance, the configuration specs and more , and not just the price as some websites do ( e.g Hostirama http://goo.gl/tzp8xT ) . I prefer to pay for a reliable and decent service, no matter what the price is .
After 3 years of a happy customer, this Provider will close its doors on 30 June 2018.
I was very very happy with them. I had 2 Servers there (2GB RAM, 160GB HDD) 1TB bandwith and paid 50€ / Year for each.
Anyone has a simular provider with such price? (Europe Datacenter)
You can ask the Guys of 4GBVPS.com if they offering you a discount on there plans?
