Last September, MyW announced they were closing. They were famous for lifetime offers, where you paid just once for ongoing serving.
They had a 5-year run, starting in 2019. In September, @MikePT said he could no longer managed it:
Unfortunately, I have lost my job recently and even tough MyW could handle the monthly bills, before we invested to better hardware and subnets, I can no longer keep this project alive. It has been a month and a half jobless, everything is due currently. From servers, to licenses, and even at the personal level (my rent, bills, etc). The money I had last month was to pay for the servers, and I tried to get a job as soon as possible so we could continue to operate. It’s no longer feasible.

Shortly after that, community provider (and MxRoute proprietor) @jar announced he would step in and take it over:
I can barely see through the crust on my eyes as I’m waking up, so I confess I stopped reading the thread a bit of the way in. If nothing has yet occurred to keep this all running, I am willing to absorb what exists and either give it’s death a longer trajectory with excessive notice to customers, or keep it running. However, the former is more likely. If this is acceptable, I can have all of the bills paid by end of day.
And as @jar predicted, the former was more likely than the latter. This week he announced that MyW would be winding down soon:
Gonna announce the shutdown of MyW soon. The shutdown won’t be soon, the announcement will be. I just don’t have time for this thing, but everyone will have time to migrate out, so much more than otherwise.
Sounds like a more formal announcement would be coming for customers soon.
Kudos to @jar for propping MyW up for another six months!
