Anyone Got Their 2HOST Subscription Cancelled?

Saw this thread on 2HOST.com on WebHostingTalk.

Someone had his VPS terminated by 2HOST due to non-payment, and it turns out the subscription has been cancelled. As I also have PayPal subscription on that $5 Xen VPS from 2HOST, I quickly went and checked my PayPal account. And it turns out…

My subscription has also been cancelled!!

PayPal subscription cancelled

The subscription was cancelled last week, and obviously, it was not requested by me. What I think will happen is that by my renewal date, I will not receive an invoice, and my VPS will also be terminated due to “non-payment”.

Time to pack up as the boat is sinking anytime now.

Update: Well. I actually received my invoice for the coming month. Paid for — and finger crossed.

I’m not sure that’s what’s going to happen. I had the same thing happen back in August. And I just received an invoice for the September to October. Maybe he just decided to disable subscription payments.

That’s the paypal subscription? Not here as I had to remove it after being billed twice. One by the subscription and another one by their site. The CMS sent me an invoice saying I had not paid for July even though the money had been automatically wired with the Paypal subscription.
They also sent me two invoice last month one to pay for August and another one a little after to pay for September. The second invoice for September didn’t have the Paypal subscription button anymore. Maybe I wasn’t the only one who ran into problems with the Paypal subscription and they removed it.

I contacted them about the same issue with my account and they told me that they had disabled the subscription option since they had run into problems with it in the past. They said to just pay future invoices manually. Apart from that, I believe nothing changes with the account.

I had the exactly same problem as above. So I hope they don’t bill me next month, cause I already payed it up front.

I attempted to sign up with them when I first heard about this here and wasn’t able to. No answer to my two emails after 6+ days so I just gave up. Funny though I started getting emails indicating my invoice was past due.

    Stay away.

I don’t know for sure but I think it was a double billing issue. The dates are just over a week apart on my invoices when this happened. I guess I’ll find out in a few weeks.

  8. Yes it could be having issues with PayPal subscription. I guess I can only make conclusion after receiving my next month’s invoice (or not).

I just tried to open a support ticket to fix rDNS which seems to have disappeared. When I tried to log in it said “License Validation Failed.” Makes me wonder what is going on over there but for only a few dollars a month my node does what it is supposed to do so I’m not complaining.

  11. I have no PayPal subscription, just pay invoices when they show up.
Paid the latest invoice today morning, no problem.

Read Malcolm’s info and checked… yeah, Client Area is inaccessible – License Validation Failed. But the console works well.

My 2host account is running fine, I don’t have a subscription setup though and just pay manually. My account was down for 2days and when it came back up I noticed that it was now being hosted in Saint Louis Missouri, and it had been hosted in Virginia prior to that. Other than that things seem fine.

I was wondering how you connect to the console to manage my account for 2host though? Does anyone know?

  14. clingy, I’ve been talking about ssh console. And I also have no idea how to connect to a VPSManager console.

victor, There is no VPSManager console.

The only thing that exists is a “reboot now” button, if you go through the support website and look at the details of your service. I’ve never tried it, but I assume ti works.

@CheapVPS there is actually a full VPS console. Its great you can re-image the VPS remote reboot status graphs and more. If your not sure how to log in submit a ticket and they will give you the details. All 3 of my $5 2Host VPS’s are paid manually and been excellent so far.

@Kanga Are you still able to manually pay your invoices? I’m getting the “License Validation Failed” message again. It did start working again briefly after my last post.

Same thing here. I had the license problem when I tried to log on the site, but for some reason when I clicked on the link that’s in the invoice I got by email and logged in from there, it worked.
