LEA (LowEndAdmin) is the original founder of LowEndBox and the visionary who gave rise to an entire movement around minimalist, efficient hosting. In 2008, LEA launched LowEndBox with a simple but powerful idea: that it was possible to run meaningful applications, web servers, VPNs, mail servers, and more – on small, low-cost virtual machines with minimal resources.
At a time when most infrastructure discussions were dominated by high-end servers and enterprise platforms, LEA championed the opposite approach: lightweight Linux distros, self-managed servers, open source software, and thoughtful optimization. This philosophy gave birth to the term “Low End Box”, which would come to define a new genre of hosting tailored to developers, tinkerers, and budget-conscious users around the world.
Through LowEndBox and its companion forum, LowEndTalk, LEA built the foundation for what would become one of the most active and enduring communities in the hosting world, prioritizing knowledge-sharing, transparency, and accessibility.
After several years of nurturing the site and community, LEA stepped away from active involvement, passing the torch to a new generation of admins, contributors, and moderators. Today, LEA remains a respected figure in the LowEnd ecosystem, credited with launching a platform and philosophy that continues to influence thousands of infrastructure providers and users globally.
LowEndBox’s legacy, and its thriving community, is a direct result of LEA’s original vision.
Just to clarify to everyone in the UK, it’s NOT mothers day here, it was on April 3rd! I’ve just had a sudden tinge of guilt for forgetting mothers day! =P
In Germany it is currently mother day, however in lot of other European countries it has already passed. I don’t know anything about the US though.
I see. Looks like we can’t even get an agreement on the date of Mother’s Day… 🙁
Mother’s day here in the US. We’ll have SUVs at nearly every intersection selling flower bundles out the back.
In Mexico is in May 10. In other countries must be in Sunday?
Decent plan, but Bandwidth might be low.
Btw, I won’t ever give a VPS as gift to my mom! She is one of the few remaining in our world that can’t touch a mouse even, and not to mention opening a website. She can’t deal with mobile phones as well! I hardly got her to learn which button to use to answer a call! Even though she has a university diploma (but never had a job since I was a kid) and she is not that old! Strange.
You may be surprised. I have a soccer mom who started out a few years ago with just a basic wordpress site who now runs a 35k+ blog wpmu install running on a pair of servers.
Bandwidth can be upgraded as needed. Please submit a sales ticket and we help you build the perfect solution just for you.
That is nice!
I’m having real challenge though, Imagine one who is total anti-technology!
Even a remote control, mother knows in best case only 5 buttons in it (volume+channels+on/off)! Every while she asks my help for some of the mentioned buttons! That is odd I know, but I can’t do anything about 😐
That happens to me too…
LOL nice to know someone suffers the same 🙂
they are far far far away from understanding what VPS is, thanks god that I have never worked as a tutor before….
I have one vps with this guy, the server goes down so often.
they said it’s packet loss, not server down.
but I’ve never seen 5 min packet loss in my life.
If server goes down for 5 min, is it packet loss or server down?
Regardless, Happy Mother Days 😀
Happy Mothers day 🙂
Most countries agree on second Sunday of May 🙂

Regardless of Mother’s day, Any news on Fremont vps?
I have 3 over there and you never gave any update on when
I’m going to get them back.
My Mother will be happy if you give them ASAP. 🙂
I buy a this VPS,I think This server hosted on DataShack?
a little stingy with the bandwidth but anyway a nice offer!
cPanel “This Account Has Been Suspended” page??
