78.129.251.251 is not in Telecity. it’s Rapidswitch Maidenhead, maybe do a little research next time @Maarten Kossen

    • Actually this is our old test IP, because we emailed over the offer to Maarten a while back. Our correct UK test server is at http://test.uk1.bhost.net/ or 176.126.246.73 – I will ask Maarten to amend the post

Oh really does it? What’s the country with 100% VAT?
Also the ordering portal doesn’t even load, so can’t check if the quoted part is true or not.

Interesting, new test IP referred to Jump Internet Services SRL – Romanian based ISP

    • We bought the IP range from them a few months ago, if you look in the RIPE database it’s definitely our range!

I like how almost every post with a new host is riddled with mistakes.. quite amazing, actually.

It’s not about a host, it’s about LEB’s sloppiness and a lack of quality standards on posts. Even a basic re-reading before hitting submit would catch a lot of those. I don’t even ask to check all test IPs work and the order links/coupons as well. And worse that those things are never getting fixed even weeks later. E.g. from the front page the INIZ post still shows “2TBB bandwidth” whatever that means, the Host1plus one still shows a wrong test IP for South Africa, despite this having been reported 4 days ago and the correct one posted by the host in the comments. Etc, etc.

Yeah, you’ve right. LEB is pretty known site and should have more moderators/editors. Marteen can’t be the one.

      • Still no sign of any corrections from Maarten unfortunately, will chase it up

As a patron of bhost for a couple of years now, I can’t say I’m 100% satisfied with them. Lots of DDoS attacks (a big one happened recently) and general slowness in the evenings.

Their migration to their new Datacenter went spot on though, have to give them that. They’ve come a long way in their approach to the customers. If you want a low end box for some testing, this is a good place to go, but for something 100% reliable? Maybe in the future.

Then again, for the price I pay, it’s a steal. It served me well for a long time, but I’ll be migrating soon enough.

    • Hi Alex,

We were disappointed that the recent DDOS attack caused some issues for you and other customers, however please be assured we’re taking firm action to ensure that the issue never reoccurs. We’d love you to stick around and if there’s anything I can do to keep your custom please drop me an email (management@BHost.net).

      Thanks

  9. Unsatisfied customer:

After being a customer for a while, BHost have remained useless. Tickets go unanswered for many days and I cannot recommend the service. I have no idea how they remain in business as they are so frustrating to deal with.

In my time I’ve experienced the following:
    – ddos outages
    – host outages
    – new datacentre network unfit for purpose at first
    – non-existent of support
    – no published KPI’s and transparency
    – poor SLA’s
    – same excuses and no improvements

In today’s ages there are just so many VPS hosts out there that are much better and customer focused.

    A very unsatisfird customer!
