One of our community’s most famous providers, BuyVM, announced today that they have been acquired by Cloudzy.
The move was made to allow BuyVM’s founder, Francisco Dias, concentrate on his new project, NameCrane, a domain registrar.
According to the announcement on LowEndTalk, no changes for end users. @Francisco specifically said: “Your current pricing & services aren’t changing at all. No change in pricing. No reduction in resources. No IP address renumbering. No downgrades in hardware. No loss of features (Anycast, DDOS protection, BGP, etc).”

It’s great to see Francisco prioritize transparency by ensuring no changes for end users, but I’m curious about how this might influence BuyVM’s innovation pace under Cloudzy. Sometimes, acquisitions bring subtle shifts in priorities over time—hopefully, they’ll maintain the same level of service quality we’ve come to expect.
