LowEndBox - Cheap VPS, Hosting and Dedicated Server Deals

Cripperz Prodigy - $4.50 (+$1 Setup) 512MB OpenVZ VPS in Colorado

Updated February 2012: Cripperz Prodigy website has been showing 500 Internal Error for 2 weeks. Many have reported their VPS dead. I don’t think they are still in operation.

Cripperz Prodigy Okay. Time to leave the DDoS behind and get back to cheap VPS hosting offers (unless the scr1pt k1dd13 strikes again). Haas from Cripperz Prodigy in Singapore has emailed me last week their exclusive offer for LowEndBox readers for July. Coupon code “LEBjuly2011” gives you $2.50/month off recurring discount on their “CheapVPS Silver” plan. So it’s $4.50/month (+$1 once off set up fee for the first month). Here is the direct link to order with promo code pre-filled. Yeah I think their WordPress/WHMCS integration is still a bit buggy but hopefully that will still get the order through. Here’s the spec:

  • 512MB guaranteed/768MB burstable memory
  • 25GB storage
  • 500GB/month data transfer
  • OpenVZ/SolusVM

IRC allowed. Tun & TAP for OpenVPN available upon request. These monthly billing plans are probably on servers in Colorado Springs CO with Data102 (test IP: 74.122.160.66). Their previous $15/year VPS offer is still available. They also have an even cheaper $10/year (+$1 setup) VPS “CheapVPS Blowout” with 64MB/128MB memory and 500GB/month data — hopefully it does not blow out Haas’ budget :) Cripperz Prodigy is a business based in Singapore, started in 1998 probably as a PC workshop, but has now extended to VPS hosting and web design.

Nice offers, could use a cleaner layout to make getting around things easy.

    • Yes the layout is a little bit confusing, i got their “CheapVPS Blowout” offer with 64MB/128MB and it works well!

      • Hi Guys,

thanks for the feedback. i definitely take note. At the moment we are working to consolidate all the services into the main site http://www.cripperz.sg . Still alot of work needs to be done really however i will work on it gradually.

Dont miss out to request for your free unix shell upon order as well. It will be great additional for those who are dealing with SEO as the free shell offers free 400MB web hosting on subdomain or your own domain upon request.

Planning to provide a few more freebies along the way. You can visit us at our Freenode irc channel #cripperz =). Having a couple of LEB regulars there as well recently. Great to have known you guys.

thanks again for the feedback. Look forward to serve the community well =)

the $15 + $1 offer costs $21 currently because the coupon code WHT062011 has expired.

    • Hi dannix,

we have extended that offer till end of the month for first 20 customers for now. You can try and use the coupon code again.

sincere apologies for my bluntness. I have change the settings of the coupon again. Should be working now =). Likewise, it should only work for the next 20 new users / purchase only.

First they try to use BuyVM as a tag on WHT, now they’re using a nulled WHMCS…. this company is quite shady. I’d stay away if I was you

    • Teiresias:

I don’t think they are using a nulled WHMCS. A check on http://www.whmcs.com/members/verifydomain.php with the domain cripperz.sg says that the domain is authorized to use a WHMCS.

It seems they might be using two – one for cheapvps and one for their main business. If the WHMCS was legit why does http://cheapvps.cripperz.sg/whmcs/?licensedebug not work?

Sorry, I don’t know what should happen at this link, I don’t know WHMCS that much.

        • hi,

I do not know what form of transparency are you demanding. The WHMCS is installed on another subdomain. It is on client.cripperz.sg. Cheapvps.cripperz.sg is wordpress.

If you have further queries, you are welcome to dropby our irc channel in freenode.

http://cheapvps.cripperz.sg is a wordpress platform using community based bridge plugin. Thats why you are not able to verify the license there.

        • Sawyerr:

That’s link, under normal circumstances should contain your WHMCS license info including the key and when it was registered. A nulled WHMCS will most def not have that info, I do not know if there are other situations that can cause that.

        • @Sawyerr

I do not know what are you trying to imply. Maybe you would like to purchase WHMCS install it in a subdomain / folder then use wordpress on a different subdomain / folder and use the bridge that is available for download on WHMCS site. Then you tell me if you still can verify using the debug.

I’m interested in a $10/year VPS. Where are the servers located for that package? Any speedtest files?

    July 17, 2011 @ 1:28 pm | Reply
    • @Mike Hat

Those per year plan (CheapVPS Blowout / Basic) are located in Kansas City. Unfortunately we already ran out of slot / ip assigned for CheapVPS Blowout (10/year) deal. We still have 20 more slots for 16/year deal using the old coupon code WHT062011 for CheapVPS Basic (20/year).

        • @Mike Hat: Not trying to advertise for anyone but I think 123Systems has a 10 per year plan with 128MB available, you might want to check that one out, not sure if they are having stock or not though…

Ive just signed up for the $15/year vps. You may want to fix the automatic server info email. The link to the VPS control panel is wrong when clicked. It is shows with the text http://vps.cripperz.sg:5353 but when you click it, it tries to take you to http://xxxxx:2086/

So good and bad news for some and all i guess. Anyways, the server is back online, just pop by our irc channel once in awhile to check out wats going on yeah.

  20. Hi all,

to those who sent ticket and got no respond, we had some issues where we are spammed with hundreds or even thousands of malicious tickets, now that has been fixed – 25 Oct 2011.

For the 9 users on colorado server, we discountinued from that location. However, you VPS can still be created in Kansas location for sure.

And just a last note, we do not have any Denver server with us. Just to be clear.

    Cheers!
