I ordered a dedicated server. Was promised the latest esxi. got an old version. Login never worked. They reloaded os. Login didn’t work. They blamed me. finally reinstalled os. Login finally works.
esxi didn’t show a device for boot. I tried to upgrade the old version and continued to get errors. For one, boot drive was full and could not update. Support told me to fix it myself…
Then another os install, with promised newest version. Login details did not work, again….
I finally did get a refund, but what a waste of time.
Not my first esxi server, currently have several in use. Had to be some problem with their auto install and then horrible support.
horrible experience. ordered cheap self-managed vps for a stupid trivial MTA. 3 tickets opened, week of business time spent. 5-20% packet loss just from the start. Outgoing smtp disabled by default and that’s not mentioned anywhere in public. Separate request needed to enable it and when it finally reviewed — they gives me separate “smtp-enabled” IP, which still gets smtp traffic filtered, and it cannot be made primary because it’ll loose PTR. PTR is manually managed by L3 support — good thing that it’s not CEO who manages it manually. S for service.
Also the first thing after order payment was my identification: they required my ID, bank card photos and a special signed agreement to ensure it was MINE 4 bucks. No, i’ve murdered 7 peoples for that 4 bucks, you know.
