Virtualizor is being used as a control panel for these servers and should contain all the features necessary to manage these VPS. The host nodes are Dell systems and are colocated with HE, where each one is connected via a 1Gbps uplink. The servers have a RAID10 disk configuration backed up by a RAID controller with BBU. Can Windows be installed with our own license or do you have to buy the license through you? If so, what is the cost?

According to the policy of Microsoft, you can’t use your own license for VPS use, and you will have to use the SPLA license offered by us.

    Their TOS states the following:

    “2. For Severe Abuse
Judging Criteria: The abuse is reported by a government agency, or the number of abuse reports is above three.

Abuse Prevention Action: We will terminate the related VPS hosting instantly, and then we will create a ticket with the abuse reports attached just for notifying the client. We won’t offer a refund.”

Is this valid abuse reports, or just three reports? Wouldn’t that make it really easy for someone to take someone down by falsifying abuse reports?

    • EH VPS:

We investigate every abuse report carefully. The abuse reports are always sent by reliable organizations. For reports sent by individuals, we will be more careful.

    Oldish CPU (X5650, unixbench 1460).

Network generally met its specs – I could burst to 50Mbps whenever I needed. This is relatively slow, but may be good enough for you.

My traffic is highly bursty but works out to less than 300GB for the whole month, so I asked for a discounted speed upgrade. I was offered the regular price at a longer term. That’s fine, they can choose to stick with their prices.

So I indicated that this pricing was too expensive and I would be terminating at the end of my billing period, and received a snide comment back. Not recommended.

EHVPS sent me a note saying that there was no intent to make a snide comment. Maybe it was just a language barrier. So, I take back my comment.

  9. New EH Customer:

I’m a new East Hsia customer following the post here on LEB, for their 50Mbps Unlimited plan.

Today they sent me an email to say that they will not be honouring that bandwidth and all existing orders will now be limited.

I highly recommend another supplier, because there are better, cheaper deals out there.
