LowEndBox - Cheap VPS, Hosting and Dedicated Server Deals

Evolution Host - €4.99/m 512MB/50GB/1TB BW KVM - in Montreal, Roubaix, or Las Vegas

Evolution Host

Mike from Evolution Host sent us an offer for 25% off their prices. The location options are Canada, France, and US. DDOS protection is included at all locations. We’re looking at OVH (CA & FR) and VersaWeb (LV) as the back end providers. Evolution Host is not currently a registered company. They gave us this link to check out their reviews. I’m not going to lie, that looks a bit shady. Their website is definitely among the more unique I’ve seen. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing. Their WHOIS data can apparently be found on evolutionhost.co.uk, but not on evolution-host.com. You guys tell me what you think about it. Are you a client? What has your experience been?

The Offer:

  • 512MB RAM
  • 512MB Swap
  • 1x vCPU
  • 50GB HDD
  • 1TB Bandwidth (200mbit uplink)
  • /112 IPv6
  • 1x IPv4
  • Virtualizor panel
  • €4.99/month
  • Coupon code 25BOX for 25% off.

The Network:

Too many OVH offers, isn’t? :) Specs still not match prices.

On one hand I agree but on the other hand, OVH has spent a lot of money (theirs or otherwise) to expand their presence and become such a big player in the hosting industry. You’ll be seeing a lot of them for quite some time, it’s just the way the wind is blowing right now :)

  3. Hey, currently only PayPal is accepted as a payment method. We have plans to introduce additional payment methods in the future. Such as Bitcoin.

question…. if a host sends you offers in and alarms are going off with the details not being clear or “odd” why post it?

I wouldn’t say “alarms” so much as a couple of details were less than preferable. In the past these would just get posted with a sales pitch. I’ve opted to instead post them, give them their chance, and make no effort to sugar coat how it looks to me.

If the details that I didn’t like are indicators of a much more significant issue, we’ve publicly written in stone the issues present with their brand today, for all to reference going forward.

  5. Regarding the website design concerns, a better designed site is currently in development and will be made public in the coming weeks. The quality (or lack there of) of the website is of no significance in relation to the quality of the service.

Our clients are more than satisfied with the service we provide and have been very vocal about that.

Wow, /112 IPv6 sucks so hard. There is no reason to allocate networks smaller than /64, it even breaks the most usefull functions of IPv6.
