LowEndBox - Cheap VPS, Hosting and Dedicated Server Deals

Evorack - £2.49 128MB Xen VPS in UK Exclusive Offer

Evorack Jonathan from Evorack emailed me that they have installed some VPS hosting infrastructure in their second data center, as they have out grown their first location. They are now giving away some exclusive discount to LowEndBox readers. Use promo code LOWENDBOXDC2 to get the following VPS for £2.49/month (discounted from £5.99/month). Sign up link here.

  • 128MB memory
  • 20GB storage
  • 150GB/month data transfer
  • Xen

Discount available to the first 60 signups. Servers are in UK. Domain registered for 3 months, but by ABPNI Computer Solutions (another shop from Jonathan)) that has been registered since 2004. Last time they were using Visual Studio C++ code in their header image and I think it has now changed to HTML snippets.

Update: Promo code LOWENDBOXDC2 should now work for any plan to get £3.50 off each month.

  1. Some questions

    1) Data center?
    2) Connection speed/port?
    3) Is SolusVM available? if not what control panel do I have?
    4) Node specs?

  2. Hi There,

Our Datacenters are located on the south coast of England. DC1 is located in Fareham and DC2 is located in Gosport. Both are on separate networks run by different bandwidth providers.

Our connection speed increases with the amount of capacity we need. At the minute, both DCs are on a 100Mbps link, however this can be increased if we find that we need to. In fact, I was looking at a quote yesterday for DC2 to be upgraded to 1Gbps, which we will do if we need to.

At the minute, we are currently not offering any control panels. We are in progress of developing our own start/stop/console panel. This will be ready very soon and is working well in testing. We are just in the stages of securing it for public use. In the meantime, we are always here to help you by opening a support tickets, and all of our customers have been happy with this so far – but stay tuned for our new control panel!

Unfortunately I am not able to give you node specs, however please be rest assured that we never oversell any of our services, and if we need more equipment, then we have no issue buying more.

    Cheers

    Jonathan

    Hi,

I’d just like to confirm that ABPNI is a well known company in Northern Ireland. You should have no doubt in trusting them with your data.

  4. Hi Steve,

Thanks for the positive comments about us :)

Indeed, Evorack is run by ABPNI, and we take pride in putting our customers, and their data first. Our Evorack servers are located in England though, with staff over there to take care of them :)

We do own all of our own hardware though, so we don’t simply lease dedicated servers or anything

    Cheers,

    Jonathan

  6. Hi There,

Unfortunately I am not able to disclose such information, however I can promise you that we never oversell our services, and we always buy more hardware as and when we need to. All RAM and disk space assigned is dedicated to your VPS.

We don’t lock our customers into a minimum term contract, so feel free to use a VPS from us for a month, then cancel after that if you don’t feel it’s for you – however I don’t think you’ll be disappointed :)

    Cheers,

    Jonathan

Nah… I think I’m going to cancel and try something else at the end of the month. After installing Apache, I have less than 10MB of RAM left. I’ll need more RAM than that to run a MySQL database for the CMS on my site. It’s too bad the coupon doesn’t apply to the higher tier offerings…

  16. Hi Everyone,

Due to popular demand, I’m pleased to announce that the coupon code (which gives you £3.50 off) now works for all unmanaged VPS products on the Evorack site

    Thanks,

  18. Hi Everyone,

I am going to phone the UK VAT Office on Monday to get a clear answer on the VAT issue for our non-EU customers. Different accountants are telling us different things.

Please be rest assured that if you are a non-EU customer and are charged UK VAT, if the VAT Office says that these sales should be zero rated, then you will get a full refund of the VAT, so please don’t worry.

    Thanks

    Jonathan

    @john
You can cancel the recurring payment contract from Paypal at any time.

Jonathan has sent me a bunch of emails updating me on the VAT situation and also gave me a refund. Due to this high level of dedication to customer satisfaction, I think I will be sticking with Evorack for the foreseeable future!

  27. Hi There,

We are currently not setting up Swap swap automatically, however since we do support Pygrub, you are free to set up swap space yourself, and also change the kernel etc..

All RAM allocated to your VPS is dedicated btw :

    Thanks

    • Hi Jonathan,

MaxMind prevented me to make the payment. That’s good for fraud prevention. However, after submitting a ticket I never got a reply e-mail.

I managed to enter the the client area and found your reply asking whether I’m going to use the VPS for business or personal purpose, and what I’m going to do with the VPS.

When I press the submit button the client area just shut don on me and the message was “ticket not found”.

I tried to login once more, but the system rejected my credentials.

So, if you think I am eligible to use your service please e-mail me within the next half an hour, otherwise, please consider that I have never placed any order.

      Best regards,

      vRozenSch00n
