Victor form FiberVolt emailed me their latest double disk/double bandwidth promo. Use coupon code LEB-DOUBLEDEAL to get increased amount of those resources. Their “256 Volt” plan remains $6.50/month, and comes with
- 256MB guaranteed/512MB burstable memory
- 60GB storage
- 300GB/month data transfer
- OpenVZ/SolusVM
Servers with i2B Networks in San Diego CA (test IP: 66.181.4.219). The 15% off promo code no longer works, although now you get a lot more monthly data at 300GB which is more usable. Their $20/year 128MB OpenVZ VPS with 15GB storage + 100GB/month data also makes a good low end box. Domain has been around since June last year. Alex from San Diego is running the show there, and they also have Victor from Melbourne Australia as sales/support.

An OpenVZ for the price of XEN-PV? :O
But their yearly plan is still very good :P
After Nordic and few others, I am reluctant to signing up with yearly offers
Yes I was too, but, I have like 4 containers in a yearly plan. They are not expensive anyway.
Why don’t you enter our giveaway then? You might win a free VPS! http://fibervolt.com/giveaway
[humour]I don’t know about these folks. Here they are putting down the DMV. How can I trust a host that speaks this way of the wonderful folks of the DMV.[/humour]
:)
lol they won my vote for that response =). Honestly though live in San Diego so i’ll give them a shot even just for the idea of having a hosted vps so close to where I live =P.
Are there only 100Mb/s lines? Or any opportunities at 1 Gb/s?
All of these slow boxes are not much better than my home Fios line >.<
I’m afraid we can only offer 100Mb/s line at the moment. We should be able to offer more very soon.
