FierceServers – $3.74 64MB OpenVZ VPS

Update May 2010: Looks like the domain fierceservers.com is not resolving since 10 May. The old IP does not connect either. FAIL.

FierceServers Via this WHT offer. FierceServers was started in November 2009 (i.e. very new) whom has recently launched its virtual server products. You can also use coupon code QUARTER to get 25% off recurring discount, which makes its lowest plan $3.74/month. It comes with:

  • 64MB guaranteed/128MB burstable memory
  • 2GB storage
  • 20GB/month data transfer
  • CentOS
  • OpenVZ

It appears that only CentOS is offered when I tried to order. Host nodes are claime to be dual Xeon 55xx with hyperthreading. Can’t find anywhere on the website where the servers are hosted, but its website is with GNAX in Dallas. Fail the WHOIS privacy test so we don’t know which individual/company is behind. Also fail the NS test as both NS are on the same server. Well it’s a new company starting out and hopefully will last for a while.

The original owner of LowEndBox known as "LowEndAdmin" or "LEA" for short founded LowEndBox in 2008 and created the concept of hosting applications on low resource "Low End Boxes". After creating the roots of the community that we know today, "LEA" stepped aside and allowed others to carry the torch forward.

  1. Got an email from Lester that FierceServers.com is no longer resolving. From my log it has been the case for the last 24 hours — they *might* come back, but I won’t put the hope high.
