Are you developing a free, open source project? Need some hosting for it but a little strapped for cash?
Then FOSS VPS may have a solution for you.
They’re offering a free – as in zero cost, no scratch, nada dollar, free as in beer – VPS for qualified FOSS projects. The rules?
- FOSS projects only. Sorry, Microsoft, you don’t qualify.
- White hat only.
- Not for commercial use
- No excessive high resource use – don’t be a jerk.
There are some caveats:
- No service level agreement “but we are good.”
- Ephemeral. Could disappear at any moment!
Service in the US, UK, Romania, and Moldova, depending on your preference and what they have available.
Personally I probably wouldn’t put my project’s home page or brochure site on it, because it is, after all, potentially ephemeral. But if you need a box to test code, spin up your app on various distros, or need a little more horsepower for development, check this offer out!
