LowEndTalk member @BasToTheMax has a new venture called ErtixNodes that you might find interesting.
He’s offering FREE (as in FREE) VPSes to users who are willing to play fair and abide by simple rules.
Here are the details:
- 1GB RAM
- 1 vCPU
- 4GB disk
- NAT IPv4 (no IPv6 yet)
- Firewall only allows DNS and HTTP(S)
- Debian Linux only
- Each VPS is limited to 24 mbit/sec
- You need to renew the VPS every 48 hours, which takes 5 seconds to do
Activation is not automatic, to prevent abuse.
You need to join their Discord to request a VPS. Then you can use a bot to create a VPS:

The VM I got was provisioned with Debian 12.2 on an AMD EPYC 7282 processor.
Looks intriguing! Free VPS offers have come and gone over the years. The potential for abuse is high, from outright scammers to spam artists to people who have no idea what they’re doing. @BasToTheMax seems to have thought this out and taken some reasonable precautions, so it’ll be interesting to see how this goes.
