Servers in Orlando FL with HostDime (test IP: 66.7.207.3). Website hosted on HostGator’s shared hosting with its non-redundant NS. No SSL on WHMCS. However its owner Chris has been quite active on WHT answering questions and providing supports.

256MB would be fine with Windows 2003 but pushing the boundary a bit with 2008R2. Unfortunately there is no option to load an alternate OS although underlying Xen HVM would allow it.

The original owner of LowEndBox known as "LowEndAdmin" or "LEA" for short founded LowEndBox in 2008 and created the concept of hosting applications on low resource "Low End Boxes". After creating the roots of the community that we know today, "LEA" stepped aside and allowed others to carry the torch forward.

    Thanks for the listing Lowendbox Admin, highly appreciated. We host our corporate website with HostGator for offsite redundancy so our clients can contact us in case of any unfortunate outages (which are very rare). This is a standard practice in the hosting industry, we like to make sure our clients always have contact methods to be able to contact us at any given time.

    For the 256MB VPS we would definitely recommend Windows 2003 we have clients who run 2003 without any issues. 2008 would be pushing it since it uses a bit more resources but it is definitely doable.

        Any OS of the customer’s choice can be installed on the VPS. All that we require is the ISO, from there we can mount it into the customer’s VM so they can install it through the Java VNC console to their preferred configuration.

    Thanks again for Listing Low End Box Admin. For the operating system, any OS of the user’s choice can be installed all that would be required is the ISO and we can upload it and mount it in their VM for they can install it through the Java VNC console to their preferred configuration.

      The specifications vary from host node to host node however we guarantee at least Quad Cores, 16 GB RAM, and RAID-10 (hardware 3ware/Adaptec).

          If your payment was marked as fraud/declined by 2Checkout then they automatically refund the transaction. If you paid via credit card, it will take up to a day or two for it to show up in your overview.

Please ensure that you have filled in accurate information in the order form and that you are not behind a proxy, then your order should not have any problems going through.

    I have ordered a VPS package from them. Waited almost 3 days (while submitting tickets to their so-called “24×7 Support”) and did not received the product. Finally they issued a refund by mistake and asked me to pay them again to receive my package. I suppose you get rubbish if you go for cheap stuff.

      A lot of people seem to think just because things are cheap you are suppose to expect cheap service, it is most certainly not the case here with FTNHosting, we have received nothing but positive responses from our clients about our Windows VPS offerings.

    they are ok.. they need a new datacentre as they seem to lag sometimes.
    when they get to your support ticket they get things sorted for you, but you can be waiting a week for that to happen.

    They took more than 48 hours to get the server information sent. After I put in a support ticket I found out it was ‘taking longer than usual’ to receive new IPs from the datacenter. The VPS won’t boot. Now I’m waiting for a support ticket for that.

    I had a very bad experience in the past with FTNhosting, I remember that one time I brought an annual package and after 3 months server was down and Chris never refund my money and never give me new hosting!! I still have the email that FTN sent me… so warning! and remember that FTN come from digitalpoint forum :)

If you want your refund, follow my instructions like I told you on WHT and send in a trouble ticket to validate your identity, the forums and blogs are not our helpdesk and never will be.

    • LowEndBox will protect you? Don’t be ridiculous. There are more scamming customers than providers out there. If you wish to post your incident you need to at least clearly post what happened in detail here, and calling someone a scammer without facts is simply slanderous.

        Thanks Admin. It looks like this was resolved on WHT, he finally sent a ticket in and communicated with us through our helpdesk (The proper way) after dozens of members on WHT told him that he was spamming enough.

  17. I’ve to test my two application..if it work perfectly…i’ll go long way with your hosting company.
    If my application not working in your VPS..then it’s useless for me..
    Windows doesn’t matter…atleast i need trail for 3-4 hrs…if my application work..i’m ready to pay..

    I’ve already windows 2008 VPS..but my application not working there..that’s why i need trial before purchasing.

Some notes on commenting on LowEndBox:

  • Do not use LowEndBox for support issues. Go to your hosting provider and issue a ticket there. Coming here saying "my VPS is down, what do I do?!" will only have your comments removed.
