GameData IncWe’ve received an offer from Wayne from GameData Inc. This offer is exclusive to LowEndBox readers and is hosted in Dallas!

Dallas, Texas Deal

  • 2 vCPU cores
  • 1GB RAM
  • 80GB Disk space
  • 1TB Bandwidth

  • OpenVZ/SolusVM

  • $4.13/month | Order link

GameData is an incorporated entity and Wayne tells me he used to own YDGH together with his old business partner. However, they sold the business and he has been focusing on GameData since 2007! Needless to say, he’s been around for a bit. Their old servers run quad core Xeon CPUs with 8GB of RAM, while their new servers pack E3-1200 CPUs with 32GB of RAM and 4x 1TB hard drives in RAID10! GameData will also be expanding to Frankfurt, Germany soon.

Payment methods accepted are PayPal, and credit cards though linkpoint. Additional IPv4 addresses are $0.25/IPv4/month. The servers are located in the TierPoint facility in Dallas, Texas, USA. Some of the bandwidth providers used are: Level 3, Time Warner Cable, AboveNet, and Suddenlink. GameData doesn’t offer refunds. Their quick and dirty ToS is: “We allow just about anything that is legal. Any abuse will be suspended or terminated depending on circumstances and at our discretion.”

Um, yikes. GameData, Inc. is not an incorporated entity. The corporation was involuntarily dissolved on 6/17/2013.(“The entity’s registration or certificate was ended as a result of a tax forfeiture or an administrative forfeiture by Texas Secretary of State.”)

Any response to the involuntary forfeiture in June?

      • I am checking with the owner and will definitely follow up as soon as I have that information.

        November 18, 2013 @ 6:04 pm | Reply
      • The owner has been out of town. I am still awaiting his response to this. In the mean time, I can assure you we are clearly still in business as we just launched a new server today. Im not sure about the tax thing because the owner use to have a partner, who is no longer active in the company for quite some time now. I am not the owner. I am just an employee.

  11. So a user says their son used their credit card and that if we do not refund they are going to post a negative review on LowEndBox. Apparently their son shared with them where they found our site also.

To be clear, we do not offer refunds. Someones son using their credit card is no exception.

You don’t sound like the guys I would give my business to, I mean making a comment about some kid and a credit card without any of us knowing what the hell your on about sounds a bit immature.

This is the father, My son used my PayPal tied to my credit-card simple issue, He was going to use his debit card for the transaction but he didn’t have my permission I opened a ticket on his account stating this was erroneous user said he’d take LEGAL action against me if we posted here or chargeback via PayPal. The owner Wayne is obviously a immature business owner also, EVERY VPS Company my son or myself have ever used have offered Refunds, why no refunds because he’s a crooked and dishonest person

        November 19, 2013 @ 2:06 am | Reply
        • There are many companies that do not offer refunds. Being familiar with VPS companies you should be well aware of it. I don’t think it’s appropriate to make a big deal about it on a public forum considering abuse and scam reasons companies choose to take this private internal policy measure. An internet business has an obligation to it’s business model to protect itself from abuse, scam, and fraud.

  12. Fair enough George. You are entitled your opinion. I was simply getting in front of a threat that was made toward our company.

  14. Is this special for a limited time offer? Or can I come back in the future and get this special? $4.13 is a pretty good price.

  15. This offer is valid until our next LEB Posting. (Also we have our new E3 server online now!) Anyone on our older servers feel free to open a support ticket to get setup on the newer faster server for free.

    @Bob’s Shadow:

I apologize if you were not happy with your services.

On Virtuozzo/OpenVZ there is one kernel, one realtime clock. Each VPS can have their own /etc/localtime setting which will apply the appropriate offset from GMT, but the system clock itself cannot be changed from within the VPS.
