Update July 2010: Looks like the domain has been parked since 28 June. Another provider bites the dust?
Found UK-based GretzkyHosting and their budget VPS plans through “random clicking”. Their lowest OpenVZ/HyperVM plan is only $6.95/month with the following spec:
- 96MB guaranteed memory/192MB burstable memory
- 5GB storage
- 150GB monthly data transfer
- CentOS/Debian/Gentoo/Ubuntu/Fedora
Their servers are with SaidHost in Philadelphia. They are also reselling SaidHost’s budget dedicated servers starting from $21.95 for a 1Ghz/256MB Pentium III.

Denny,
I’ll find that the only provider at the moment offering Xen VPS less than $4/month is VPSLink with their special here, where you need to prepay 1 year (and get the second year free).
I don’t recommend GretzkyHosting to anyone. The owners are really immature and will terminate your account for no reason.
For the sake of fairness to Gretzky Hosting, and also to be more helpful to the community, I wonder if you could give us actual specifics of your complaint with Gretzky Hosting? Just saying that the owners are immature amounts to no more than name-calling. Since all businesses exist to make money, and they do that by keeping customers, I sincerely doubt that they just terminate paying accounts for no reason at all. Was there some misunderstanding, perhaps?
And for those who might wonder, no, I don’t work for Gretzky Hosting. I’m not even a customer of theirs. I just think that when you post a negative comment, you need to back it up with facts.
