Paulius, from Host1Plus.com, is back with an exclusive offer for the LowEndBox community. They are giving a generous 40% discount off their regular price using the coupon H1PLEB. The coupon will expire on May 25th, so be sure to order while the promotion is still valid!

The special discount is valid on the first month of service only. Succeeding billing will revert to the regular price. Note that bandwidth and pricing will vary depending on location, but still within LEB limit. TUN/TAP, NAT, PPP are selectable as addons at the checkout configuration stage and are free of charge.
It is interesting to note that Host1Plus has the cheapest South Africa offer on LowEndBox, and the only host that has a Brazil location. This is good news for people on these two locations as they would enjoy very good priced services with reduced latency.
Host1Plus has been doing business since 2008 and is a division of D. E. Technologies Ltd., which is a registered company in England and Wales. They have offices in London (UK), Kaunas (Lithuania), Frankfurt am Maine (Germany), and Sao Paolo (Brazil) so I have the idea they have quite an operation running. We would appreciate if current customers will share their experiences in the comments section.
Supported payment methods includes Debit/Credit card, PayPal, AliPay, WebMoney, Skrill, CashU, Ebanx and Paysera. Some of the prohibited activities are: use of copyright infringing content, UDP flood, DoS type activities and Email spam. Gaming, teamspeak servers, proxies are allowed. Their last feature has generated some misunderstandings. So please read their Refund Policy, Terms of Service and Spam Policy before making any purchase.

done, thank you for the comment
By the LEB traditions the TITLE of the post should list the recurring price, not any one-time discount only sham.
+1
fixed. apology for the mistake
Could you also edit specs of the Silver plan? It gives 768 MB RAM, not 512.
Thanks.
“TUN/TAP, NAT, PPP are selectable as addons at the checkout configuration stage and are free of charge.”
Yeah after they charged for such a long time for this basic thing
These were paid options just for a few months last year. They are free of charge for at least 5-6 months now. But I can understand why a lot of people where unhappy. We hope that everything will be ok from now on with this.
But prices also increased, all locations been 2$ few months ago
I have VPS from them in São Paulo / Brazil and it’s a very stable, but it’s not a demon of speed – I mean it’s average.

The CPU is limited to 50% of the power at start for all VPS and they will cut you [automatically] to 25%, when your load average is high.
Hello David,
By default the CPU’s in Brazil are limited to 70% peak usage, not 50% (if the CPU is constantly peaking over this percentage). But we currently are having internal discussions to get this limit to 100%.
Not sure what you see the problem here for this location, looks more then decent tbh.
Than, not then.
These fucks are able to suspend your hosting services account or VPS if their bad-configured ClamAV finds an ‘infected'(even not) file on your hdd space. Not recommended.
why the hell they scanning your vps in first place. am sure there is data protection issues there.
Hello Alex,
First of all, we would like to say that within Host1Plus anti-virus scans are only made within Web Hosting, to ensure that the shared servers are top-notch and clean for everyone to enjoy. Also within these servers, we understand that users might get infections. We always do our best to sort out these issues with the clients.
For VPS Hosting, we respect users privacy and any data access is a last resort method, under a serious breach of Terms of Service or damage caused to our services, and is handled by what is determined within our ToS.
Please reply to any e-mails that you had, and our support will do their best to help you out. You can also call, contact us via live chat, or create a ticket regarding this matter. Otherwise, we would happily check this situation for you, if you could give us any data on your service, for example a ticket ID.
Been using a VPS(256 mb) from them in Germany for more than 6 months, no problems at all.
I am using the vps as an openvpn node, and I am pleased to say that there is no downtime, server is up always, Good latency to India(`140ms), speed is good also.
The ticket response is fast, but I havent raised a ticket for about past 5 months(No need).
The thing I liked most is, last month I forgot to renew my subscription and didnt checked my mails as I was on a vacation, finally when I checked I was 3 days overdue but they didnt disconnected my service. I quickly renewed my subscription and I am using the service without any disruptions.
Very satisfied customer.
cheaper yearly deals?
Your H1PLEB code is not valid
Hello Alex,
The code should work fine. Just keep in mind that it can be used by new clients, for 1 month billing cycle and only once.

NANP phone number should have ten digits after ‘+1’, but this phone number has only nine digits.
I don’t know where you see this number, but everywhere I look at our website, the number is +1.888-804-2926 (10 numbers after +1, in your version, you’ve missed one 8)
Do you guys think it would me fine to serve static content in Argentina? The box with joomla and virtuemart is in linode atlanta.
We just use 500mb of ssd and less than 100gb of bw. All visitors are from Argentina.
Hello,
I think a server in Brazil would be fine for this, but I would go with Silver or Gold plans.
I attempted to request from them this evening, they denoted my request for scam saying my phone was not a phone. In the wake of conversing with client support, he proposed I get a landline telephone and attempt again later. I figure I will proceed onward to another organization that really needs my cash.
Hello David,
I think anyone can understand that a client is a client, but we really do want our systems to be secure for everyone, and not attract any people who might want to damage them. As so, we simply require clients to have a mobile phone or a land line for verification, not a VOIP. This issue will be escalated, and we will evaluate our position on clients who use VOIP.
Simple, binary question: do you allow voip? (yes or no)
as your terms of use are kind of grey
Hello Luis,
Yes, we do allow VOIP to be used in our servers.
