Since Host1Plus have overhauled their plans, TUN/TAP, NAT, and PPP are all included free of charge. I’m still sure this is the cheapest South Africa offer we’ve ever seen on LowEndBox.com, the second host in it’s history that features that location, and I think there’s not too many competition to be expected. I think they are the only host we’ve featured thus far that offers a Brazil location. What makes these offer even more unique, is that it has quite some bandwidth. Yes, the port speed may be limited to 50Mbps, but 500GB or 1TB of bandwidth is still a lot for these locations. Los Angeles was recently added as a location, so people based in Asia can order from there as well to get reduced latency. Host1Plus has been doing business since 2008 and is a division of D. E. Technologies Ltd., which is a registered company in England and Wales. They have offices in London (UK), Kaunas (Lithuania), Frankfurt am Maine (Germany), and Sao Paolo (Brazil) so I have the idea they have quite an operation running. From my personal experience I can say these machines run just fine. I have one both in Brazil and South Africa and for the past 11 months they’ve had 100% uptime. If you decide to give them a try, please share your experiences with us in the comments!

HOST1PLUS accepts payments via Debit/Credit card, PayPal, AliPay, WebMoney, CashU, and Paysera. They have a refund policy which is worth reading before you order, so you know what you’re up to. Their Terms of Service has a long list of prohibited content and actions, such as copyright infringing content, use of gaming servers, proxies, bots, etc. Be sure to also read their Spam Policy.

    0.5 vCPU Core.

What does it mean? Is there vSwap?

Virtual CPU. It means that he divided the cpu power in vCPUs and he give access to half a virtual core.

Sadly, I tried getting a test account for their 14day trial some time ago, but they got this aweful automated voice calling system, which most of the time you can’t understand. And they don’t have a call me again or repeat what the * you said button…

Submitted a ticket weeks ago and nothing till this day, talk about slow support…

But thanks to not hearing from them, I’m now enjoying service with Bandwagon, rootnerds, FTPit, Iniz and couple others …

So yeah , fix your support and free trial stuff or you’ll keep losing business..

They are lying, NAT does not working on their VPS.

    root@:~# iptables -t nat -L
iptables v1.4.12: can’t initialize iptables table `nat’: Table does not exist (do you need to insmod?)
Perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgraded.

    • Maybe you have to open a support ticket.

  8. Signed up, tried a few different OS installs, and yet after hours of fiddling I still couldn’t get anything worth a damn to show up in apt-cache. Couldn’t install GCC, PHP, nginx, anything. All I really had was coreutils, binutils, and perl on the machine. Do not use this VPS if you intend to actually do anything worth a damn.

Had a VPS for TS3 there (Host1Plus), Germany, and the only “good” thing is the “price”, because network is awful constant disconnect and lag because they’r node’s are getting DDoS all the time, support was saying all the time to upgrade my service of 256MB that it wasn’t enough, my server was consuming 55MB ram and when I contact them my ram usage gets to 150MB out of nowere, restarted the server and gets to the 55MB again redicules, and now I’m in a 128MB VPS same server same OS and had not a single disconnect yet or lag

  17. Dont go with host1plus, terrible support and they will suspend your vps (cancel) without any notice if it gets any kind of ddos attacks.

On top of that, the support is terrible, live chat and phone ppl cant do anything but ask you to open a ticket.
When you do open a ticket it takes 1-3 days to get a reply.

Ive had too many problems with this company, if you are looking for a VPS in Brazil location I would recommend MaxiHost.com.br.

Well I have one bronze vps host1plus here in Brazil since last year, till now all fine, sometimes I had experienced packet loss but always got solved (I think it’s is because we are in Brazil and we have poor network links). So Maxihost minimum plan are 512mg of ram and only 2 mega of link but why not invite maxihost to make personalized plan to LEB and allow to see the difference betwenn host1plus and maxihost ?

      cheers

  18. Their Amber plan in Brazil is $5.00/mo, not $2.00/mo, the price was a little out of my budget.
