    • As long as you can provide justification, you can get additional IP addresses. Simply open a ticket with sales and they are $1.25 per IP / month. Also, the plan is 1 GB of ram, not 12 GB.

  7. Temporarily out of stock in Atlanta for OpenVZ.

In case you prefer KVM, I’ll do the same 1 Gb plan for $5.50. You may order that here:

  8. Sorry, I checked at http://www.hostmist.com/vps.html you use ubuntu 9 and 10? For old vps, it’s OK. For new vps, I think it should ubuntu 14, at least ubuntu 12.

  10. Coupon reactivated. We have stock in Quadranet LA available and should you want KVM, add $10 to the above pricing (for yearly) or $1.50 on monthly. Open a ticket with sales for that though and I’ll build you one.

  11. Got a lowendbox in LosAngeles from Hostmist.

The good: support responded quickly to inability to connect directly via IP and solved the issue. Thank you Hostmist!

The bad: IP address shows up in all geolocation services as one from Atlanta, however my VPS is located in LA(as ping to their LA datacenter IP is <1ms).

So I assume Hostmist started in Atlanta and have their assigned IP block from there.

This IP location mismatch is probably a non-issue to most, but for someone who needs to have a real IP address correspond to California location it is a big deal.

    • Val,

We also have a server directly with Quadranet as well if geo-location is an issue or must have. The network mix is a bit different, but also quite good. Simply open a ticket and I can move you over. (requires IP change)

Some notes on commenting on LowEndBox:

  • Do not use LowEndBox for support issues. Go to your hosting provider and issue a ticket there. Coming here saying "my VPS is down, what do I do?!" will only have your comments removed.
  • Akismet is used for spam detection. Quoting webhostingtalk.com URL seems to get binned consistently here, but I do peek into the spam box frequently to publish those comments.
